I was hoping before I die and I'm 35 now. I heard something about 3X3 instead of 5X5 getting launched but not sure where or if that's even true.It just seems like SoCal is never gonna get green lighted to launch 800 MHz LTE.

Any news on 800mhz for SoCal yet

Please use a B26 thread.

Is there a shortcut to find it? This app is confusing at times.

It is Band 26. There are several (rather lengthy) threads in the forums documenting the International Border Exclusion Zone (IBEZ) where Band 26 and 1x800 is restricted.
Do we have any new news for band 26 in SoCal yet ???

I don't think they're being asked to per say. More that some of the spectrum may not be cleared yet for a full 5x5 carrier to be deployed. But enough is cleared for a 3x3, so they're launching that now since the equipment and everything has been installed for years just waiting. Hopefully the 3x3 turns into a 5x5 soon, but even at 3x3 they seem to have the power cranked up pretty high and it carries far and fills in the gaps between B25.

Does sprint have band 26 live in Martin Mi ? My girlfriend says her coverage around is pretty sketchy at best. Her phone is on 3G sometimes 1X at her house so I would figure if all towers were upgrade to LTE band 26 she shouldn't have issues like that. Which tells me not all the towers are upgraded in her area.

LTE coverage almost the entire way through. I would suspect in the next 2-3 months it'll be complete.

No visible movement on these "Offlined for Expired License Review" situations. These were originally tied to 800Mhz challenges which still continue in places near borders (or not so near, like Columbus Ohio). Concerned that time may running out.
The way it's set up now, SoCal may not get band 26 until like 2020 [emoji849][emoji30]

I just checked Sensorly and it looks like LTE is almost connected fully from SoCal to Vegas. Which is exciting for my roadtrips when I go to Vegas. Can anyone or anyone from SoCal that's heading to Vegas in the near future confirm this.

I should say that Speedtest I posted was in the North Hall.

Nice. And how was your drive from pahrump to Vegas ? How much LTE was there on the drive

Las Vegas Convention Center just now.

That was a place that fell back on 3G often wasn't it ? I thought I read a user saying that

I would, but I gave him my word that I would keep everything discussed in the meeting confidential. If you want to get in touch with someone of importance, though, email Gunther. He will have someone of importance reply to your email. Make sure to include all kinds of geeky details and location.
What's Gunthers email ????

Yup. Drive up to Temecula occasionally. Mainly for Lucille's BBQ. Its very poor inside.

I'll go even further then that, I drive to fat burger every Sunday since it's crack to me. And my phone goes from LTE to 3G. Never fails. Across from Temecula mall.

Spoke to an engineer who was installing some Nokia antennas in Pomona, CA off the 71. Said Sprint is really making a push to upgrade all the towers out in the IE and also install small cells because the IE is really lagging so that's a good thing
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It's lagging all across SoCal from Lake Elsinore where I live to corona to San Diego to Orange County lol

Try clearing your cache.
It updated coverage. You're the man, thanks

Really? I took that screen shot from Sensorly on Firefox. Did you check to see if 3G is selected?

No, where LTE dropped off was far further than my iPhone carried. I used the LTE only LG G Pad to map with. And yes it's about 1:15 to most areas I go to in Vegas.

Nice. I just checked the Sensorly app on my iPhone and it wasn't on there

This was mapped yesterday while I was working. Part of it was on my trip to Vegas on Thursday as well.
Good stuff. We're you on LTE all the way till Vegas ? I've been to pahrump while I'm vegas a few years back...that's what an 1-1.5 drive correct ?

They are testing LTE in pahrump tonight right now!

Sweet...Make sure you map it on Sensorly when you start seeing it live

I so doubt that. These casinos need a DAS.
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
Perhaps. But some already do. I'm sure next summer it'll be a much better experience. Vegas is already is solid market for S

Still lots of improvement needed in Vegas when it comes to the casinos. Where a lot of people walk through.
Last trip I had friends with AT&T and T-mobile where they got LTE and I'm sitting on 3G.
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
They just started rolling out band 26 last month. I'm sure in about 4-6 months our phones will never see 3G again in that market
