  1. Your talking Vegas baby! Everything is glitter & gold!

How wrong you are about Vegas. Only so much of it is glitter and gold, and the rest is bad. Gangs, drugs, homeless numbers on the rise faster than a casino implosion. I've seen it all. I've lived in Nevada since '90, the first 6 years were in Vegas.

  2. Clearwire is once again asking for "substantial additional capital" to fund their business and build out their LTE-A network. With their movement out of the retail sale of their services, they are dependant on their wholesale customers, but the purchase of their WiMax wholesale has stagnated. They are unsure how much profit they will reap from WiMax over the next year and from their LTE network as they build it.

Sprint's usage of WiMax will surely drop with LTE phones on the near horizon and could depress usage for quite some time if they don't support LTE on 2500. This will lead to a lot of lost revenue for Clearwire. They should be snapping up all the LS2 wholesale customers, but they might wait and weigh their options as Clearwire has not been an extremely stable company.

If their rollout of LTE is really LTE Advanced, then that really could be the delay. Or they set a date far enough into the future hoping to turn on the LTE network sooner than that. However, not so much as a rumor of any device being built for Clear's LTE network has surfaced yet, so it might be a chipset delay. I hope they hurry up and turn on LTE soon too. Let's just hope they keep up their own prepaid service so that we can still have access to unlimited data.

  3. I definitely use my E4GT like a mini tablet. That's why the Note is intriguing to me. And I absolutely despise talking on the phone. About the only person I can talk to for more than 2 minutes is my Dad.

That's how I am with my mom and uncle. Otherwise, I hate to be on the phone. The only other person who calls on a regular basis can get quite annoying, lol.

  4. It is also nice that when you call them through the day someone actually speaks english!

I know exactly what you mean. at&t was notorius for foreign accents for customer service reps. It drove me nuts.

And I have always had things go good with Sprint Customer Service. It was even great when I called to port my number from at&t. Can't say the same about porting numbers to Verizon though. Ugh!

  5. i agree.. not sure how one calls this a new OS...

the developer build is already out on torrent sites etc if you're feeling risky..

I'm not feeling too risky as my computer is still having trouble I can never fix since it was stolen last november, but it doesn't surprise me that it's out for torrents already. Of course, I might consider doing a virtual machine for 10.8.

And it's not a new OS. It's just a merging of Mac OS X and iOS. Then again, iOS was built on the same kernels and UNIX backbone that OS X is built on. I can't wait to see what's in store for OS 11. But alas, that seems to be 2 years from now, lol.

  6. ALPHA 2 [2/16]:

    --Flash same way as before

--If you get a bootloop, WIPE DATA!

    -WIFI fixed

    -4G's fixed (Turn on by going to Settings->More... -> 4G settings )

    -Heat issue MUCH better

    -Notification LED fixed

-MMS sends but doesn't always download

-youtube is broken :-/ but browser and gmail work!

    -Screen occasionally gets pixelated

-Signal Bars are not accurate still

4G working on the E4GT? Awesome! Now hopefully soon more devices from Sprint will get CM9 upgrades.

  7. When SBC announced that they were acquiring AT&T, i said to my friend that SBC's next target was going to be Bell South so that they could consolidate Cingular into their fold. I said that about 6 months before at&t inc announced the Bell South purchase. I knew then that they were trying to re-monopolize. I guess I was right. :( Hopefully the FCC won't let this go through either.
