Snapdragon 801 and eCSFB

I only tested it on one site in Colorado for all of 15 minutes, but in that specific observation with an N5, GN2 and a GS3, the Nexus 5 bested them in every instance of signal strength and data throughput. And I was confirmed on the same site/sector. As for battery life, I am not able to say.

The N5 in my observations was 3-5dBm better not being held, and about 7-8dBm better while being held than the GN2. It was about 5-7dBm better than the GS3 unheld, and about 10dBm better held. The GN2 was less affected being held than the GS3. But that didn't surprise me given the size of the device.

My Netgear Zing beat them all, and even picked up a distant B41 site. ;)

My observation is a little less scientific.  Frequency of dropped calls, call delivery failures (straight to voice mail).

I did not do any testing on 1x.  My testing only was on B25 LTE.

What is this "1x" of which you speak?  My Nexus 5 lives at the LTE campground.

;)

    • The "invalid file format" error is coming from the map server and the no data to send error is from the app, so those are two separate issues. Could you share the files it exported, and share your database from the S21? Putting them in a shared Google Drive folder and DMing me the link is probably easiest, or whatever you prefer.
    • This site is now live as eNB 380787 and gNB 1877974. It was not live in Sept when I drove by the site, so this is a recent activation. Also the confusing nearby eNB 84647 appears to have been upgraded but the upgraded portions weren't live yet.
    • My S24 Ultra and my two S22s are uploading and working properly today, as another data point.
    • My hope is they can spot something in the data that was exported. I am going after all 4 carriers on a multitude of phones and Android versions. My S24 did work.  I have not checked another S24 or S22.  S21s failed which are on Android 14 as well. It should be noted I did not reboot after updates and some of the data was captured on the prior update. Data from some new Boost Mobile Dish (Echostar) sites in the Wheeling area did make it in. Was hoping for more SA data from the duo. Many of the phones are just LTE.
    • I was traveling for a couple of days.   Sunday evening, I upload from 3 phones.  A S-22 and two Moto 5G phones.  Everything looked ok.    How do we explain that?   One person has issues and another person does not.  All my phones have the latest update.
