  1. How easy is it to get replaced? I don't have Applecare +... Do I just walk into an Apple store and show them the crescent moon that is my front camera and they will replace it no questions asked?

Yeah I was wondering myself. It wouldn't be considered accidental damage cause it's not your fault so they should do it for free.

  2. ITs the vibrator thingy. Don't worry about it.

And I just noticed my camera finally started shifting. I am not going to take it to apple until it gets serious. They are going to think I am intentional sabotaging phones since I have already gotten 1 free replacement and 1 applecare replacement.

I'm not taking mine in until I can't take selfies anymore. Lol that day hasn't come so I'm coolin it with my defected space grey iPhone 6 [emoji24][emoji24]

  3. Bank of America waited 15 months after iOS 7 to update their look/feel. There's a ton of reasons why it takes a while to update the UI... Especially if there are custom components and the layout wasn't adaptive to begin with.

Maybe they should change the components that they use. 15 months is absolutely unacceptable it should take that long to update a UI. 6 months at most but 15 nah that's just ridiculous.

  4. What irritates me is the banks that haven't done anything with their apps yet. Come on....you have all the money you could possibly need. update your damn app

The Banking apps especially. They could take full access of the Touch ID api for security purposes but no. I've had my iPhone since late December and not once has the Bank of America app updated to take use of anything. Just "Bug Fixes" I swear I hate when they do those kind of updates.

  5. Just out of curiosity, how hard was it for you to make this app iPhone 6/6+ compatible? I'm just wondering why, after 5 months, many billion dollar corporations have not even attempted to update their apps for the new screen size. It's getting annoying.

Oh my gosh I was thinking the same thing. It should literally take a second for these developers to update their apps to the new screen size but they're just not doing it. eBay is rittled with bugs and still does have the new screen size. Same with all of the verizon apps. It's ridiculous especially this far after the iPhone 6's release.

  6. I thought I remembered someone asking about it. I'm not jail broken. 8.1.3 here and if I remember right again I think they skipped us for jailbreak. From a quick 10 second Google I see there is one for a beta but with battery life being a concern idk if I want to use a beta right now.

Apple was supposed to include a app store redirect blocker in iOS 8. Not even really a blocker but instead of you getting redirected by the ad Safari would ask permission first and you could decline or accept. When I was using it during the summer I noticed it but I guess it didn't make the cut.

  8. For those of you whose UDID I have, I'll be posting the iOS 8.3 Beta 2 IPSW file tomorrow. For whatever reason, this time around Apple didn't include OTA update so I'll put both the 6 and 6+ IPSW files in the forum.

    Beta Update:

These new emojis are awesome. Love that Apple is finally acknowledging other races. I'll do a battery report tomorrow after I get home from school. See if my good battery continues.

  9. It looks like the new emojis were included in 8.3B2. Looks like most emojis will have a "touch and hold" option to change skin tone.

  10. Every year, Apple has opened things that were jailbreak only. By even allowing apps to access certain parts of CoreTelophony since iOS 7, I believe that by iOS 10 we should have this app available in the App Store as is. At least, I hope it will be. Of course, I wouldn't mind if Apple opened it up enough in iOS 9.

  11. Maybe. They're pretty strict about that.

    Good luck though!

Yeah Ik. If they don't let me get it then, when I turn 18 I'm just gonna buy the 6s on my own single line unlimited Sprint Plan.

  12. The thing is, when you control every aspect of the system, you're allowed to make up rules as you go. Those apps use an API that was created by Apple specifically to allow developers to open other applications from their own apps ("URL Schemes" + UIApplication's openURL method). Those widgets literally just opened URLs. You can even try it for yourself: go into Safari and navigate to "instagram://" or "twitter://". Apparently opening URLs is now a violation of App Store "guidelines". And by guidelines they mean strict boundaries that change constantly. It doesn't make sense, but I guess that's what Apple is known for lol.

That must be annoying when you're trying to make something. It's like you're going in blind; you spend all this time and money just to be denied by Apple because of these "guidelines".

I feel like Apple declines Apps like launcher because maybe in a future iOS update they're going to bring that feature or a similar feature like it to the Notification Center.

  13. CellularInfo is powered by some private APIs in the CoreTelephony framework. They can be accessed rather easily from any iOS app. However, apps that access private APIs won't pass the Apple App Store Review process. So if I attempted to submit CellularInfo to the App Store right now, it would get rejected instantly.

That's why I'm currently distributing it as a "beta" app using my 100 developer device registrations. That way I can get it on devices without going through the App Store review process.

So, in short: the current beta of CellularInfo is the "non-JB" version. I can't make a "final non-JB" version. :(

Lol I'm gonna take over Apple and become it's CEO. Gimme 10 Years lol I'll change the App Store Review process for all the developers who genuinely care and want to make Apps that people will love and use.

You guys ever heard about the App called Launcher or Quick-Tap. Apple took these Apps out of the App Store because they apparently violated Apples App protocols but it wasn't written anywhere that you couldn't put widgets that open other apps in the App store. Apple is just an extreme control freak. It never affected me until I downloaded launcher and quick tap and found that they're function is very very useful.

  14. The beta is as close to a non-JB version as I can get unfortunately. I was just making sure everyone knew I wasn't abandoning the full jailbreak app. :)

Wait so you're making both a JB version and a non JB version. I thought the reason we didn't have a signal check app on iOS was because Apple didn't give access to that kinda info, am I wrong?

  15. You on the 8.3 betas? My phone is glitching all over the place and I got 3 hours of battery usage today, even with all jailbreak packages besides Cydia removed. It might be time to leave the jailbreak behind and jump onto 8.3. The restore should also unlock my phone if Sprint actually followed through with what they said.

For anyone that's waiting on the CellularInfo jailbreak features: don't worry I have a spare jailbroken iPhone 5 that I use to test CellularInfo. ;)

Yeahhh 8.3 Beta 1. It's awesome. Even if I don't get 8hrs like today. I've been averaging over 5hrs since I put the thing on my phone. That is of course unless Google Maps is in use lol.

  16. Wish I could get this battery life, instead I have a device with a bad battery.

I traveled up from Chester to the Apple Store at the St. Louis Galleria and had the phone tested, the battery results came back as "Consumed". I went back home last night and did a clean reinstall from the beginning. Took the phone off the charger at 8AM, and the battery is nearly dead at 1:30. Looks like I have a battery replacement I need to do on a device warrantied by Verizon. Lord knows what they would want to charge for that, probably the rate for full device replacement. I could also pay Apple $75 to replace the battery out of warranty. I'm still under contract until November and VZ has refused to budge on converting my account to EDGE device financing.

Apple does battery replacements for free. I got my 5 replaced last year for free. I originally went because my lock button has stopped working but while he was checking my phone he was like oh your just in time your battery was just about used up.
