What is your LTE signal strength in dBm from your LTE Engineering screen? If you have a weak LTE signal, it may be impressive.

How do you get an iPhone to show the dBm , i've always wonder . On certain pictures i've seen on here instead of having the bars in the corner they have the dBm showed in the corner.

  2. March is looking like a reality here in NYC. Seems like another LTE tower came online in Flushing in Main street and Roosevelt Ave. Another in Williamsburg. Take a look at Sensorly... a lot of new dark purple.

Yeah I noticed that , in Downtown Manhattan a new blob of purple recently appeared & in like a day, im just Baffled by the speed of Sprint .

You mean downtown Manhattan???????????????????? YES!!!!! Can't come soon enough. Now just need it to come even more downtown... all the way down...

Yup Sprint is definitely trying to meet there deadline which from the rumors i've heard , they NYC to have Sprint LTE by the end of March I think they could make it happen at the speed their moving at.

  4. I have a feeling a lot more towers are completed but not turned on until the market is launched. So the few that are made available are probably just to tease us. lol

See thats the thing I don't like the whole teaser thing yeah it gets me excited when I get LTE for that moment but once im out of the zone its back to the old 3G service & it sucks knowing I have a 4G LTE capable phone & I can't access that side of the network YET.

I would disagree with you on that, but its your opinion and we all have one. Keep in mind that your area can go from no LTE to LTE in matters of months.

Keyword MONTHS , I wish it was weeks lml , but I guess i'll just have to wait , I wonder if its gonna be like this when 5G comes out Lol jumping a couple years into the future.

  6. Honestly, the toughest part about getting NV going in our area is building permits and access. Once that is all in place, you need to get a crane there to get a crew up to install panels and radio heads.

So much goes into getting a site online, it's very complex.

I understand that but Sprint needs to hurry up d.a. there moving mad slow.

The State of New York is much too large for one market. NY has six markets, statewide. And NYC market is already the largest in the country, with the most sites.

Just learned something today thank you for the lesson . Im still hoping for a summer release of LTE in my town idc bout the rest of L.I lol .

Sprint has NYC and Long Island as two separate markets. Long Island is 6-9 months behind NYC deployment. http://s4gru.com/index.php?/gallery/image/156-nationwide-sprint-market-map-medium/

Oh well , im directly near the end of Queens like im on the borderline , so my town Elmont will probably get LTE around the time Queens does hopefully. I don't understand why Sprint has NYC & Long Island marked as 2 different Markets I mean its still NY State, it should be one Market.

  9.

Probably bleeding over the edge. I wouldn't count on a strong signal for some time, as you're outside of the NYC market, and the Long Island market isn't currently seeing LTE activated. Probably at least a few more weeks before that starts to happen.

I read some where that the NYC & Long Island counts as one Market & im going with that . I don't think bleed over bc the tower closest to me has been acting weird like its being tested on , so im probably gonna be able to access tester LTE sometime around this month.

    Nothing there.

Elmont is on the edge of the market. You may see some bleed-over LTE from Queens, but I doubt it will be very useful until the Long Island market starts to see sites go live with LTE. It will just depend on how they set up the sites in Queens whether a usable signal will bleed over into your area.

*GASP* looks like Sprint LTE has officially crossed over into Nassau County , looks like im gonna have LTE very very soon

On the bright side, work has started in your market! That's more than some can say. And once Alcalu decides to start turning on LTE, they should have many sites already with upgraded 3G, which in and of itself will greatly improve the network, even without LTE.

Yeah , some of the towers around me have already or seem like they've been upgrade , I notice the 3G speeds are much faster , & I see O less on my iPhone 5. I just can't wait to have LTE everywhere. I've noticed that Sprint is like turbo speeding the release of LTE , just last week they said 28 new markets to be released in the coming months & in a week they launched it , its awesome . Its likely that NYC & the Long Island Market will have LTE before the summer
