Now you're scrapping the barrel for your argument now.Which of the big 3 can you buy the Z2 at? By that logic, the Z2 wasn't Sony's flagship device. The world is bigger than the US.

It's all tied together buddy. ???? Again, the compact is really really cool and may be the better overall value, but it's not the main flagship, no matter when Sony decided to announce/release it.That's a different conversation.

Can you walk into any of the Big 3 and buy a compact?Sony disagrees ???? http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/201409/14-080E/
Sony describes them as flagships.
I understand your perception of it. But Sony has never separated the devices. They are both flagship in their eyes. That is how they were launched at IFA, that is how they sell them on their site. It is only a US perception that they are not on level footing. Elsewhere that they are sold they are generally shown on the same level. At least that has been my perception.

Do me a favor. Google Sony Flagship phone and tell me what pops up. And don't post the Verge article again. ????I guess so. Sony made the Z3 compact to be the same phone for people that like smaller devices.

You're totally missing what I'm saying. They also have the same features. Same processor, same GPU, same camera, same waterproofing...
The only differences are screen resolution (pretty insignificant given the screen size difference) and the compact "only" has 2 gigs of RAM.

Even so, take into account the name sake. As well as premium features. The compact was released simultaneously with the Z3.

The phone the manufacturer releases as their top presser for the year. If the compact was determined by them to be their flagship it wouldn't be called the Z3 Compact, it would be called the Z4 and it wouldn't have been released after the Z3.The specs are roughly the same? What is the definition of "flagship"? The Z3 compact pretty much fits the bill.

Look at every manufacture's Flagship phone. It always releases first and leads with a new name sake, not Mini, Sport, Maxx, Compact, Plus/+ or E8.

That's the Verge's opinion. Which I don't disagree with the compact maybe being a better suite but Sony doesn't consider the compact their flagship. That's certainly debatable. http://www.theverge.com/2014/9/3/6097817/the-xperia-z3-compact-is-sonys-true-new-flagship-phone
At the very least, you have to grant it "flagship-caliber" status since Sony didn't really change much between the two except for the size.
-
The Z3 Compact isn't the flagship device. The Z3 is.The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is the other exception to this rule. But that one (like the larger Z3) isn't available for Sprint.
The same way the S5 Mini isn't a Flagship.

I'm hoping for a sub 5inch screen, SD slot, large battery. Camera quality is a plus but it's not necessary. I'm looking forward to what HTC has next year with their next flagship.
You're not going to find any flagship device sub 5 inch screen anymore. Unless there is a tech culture change.
Edit: Minus iPhone.

So how is that a safety concern? Just curious. Also do you know if devices that are actually hotspot are in the same ship? The reason I bring this up is I have a chrome cast device on my TV and its only able to see 2.4 and connect to 2.4 wifi. Ive recently discovered how much more throughput i get out of 5ghz on my phones hotspot so I keep it on 5, but after that discovery unfortunately I discovered the issue with the chrome cast only connecting to 2.4. I have since gotten a temp fix for 80 bucks. bought a network extender and the chrome cast connects to that 2.4 signal.
Doesn't have anything to do with safety. The WiFi radio shares the same path. Same reason why you don't have SVLTE/SVLTE on Tri-Band Devices.
I haven't looked at HotSpot devices on the FCC, I'm sorry.

Greetings Everyone. So I am trying to figure something out. So I have hotspot on my GS5 and I use it quite a bit. Well i recently decided to try out 5Ghz instead of the 2.4Ghz. My only issue here is my Chromecast will not connect to 5Ghz wifi, only 2.4Ghz. So I suppose my question here is, Is there anyway to keep both 2.4 and 5Ghz enabled? I keep running into an issue when i enable 5Ghz mode 2.4 gets disabled and visa versa.
Any suggestions would be great! Thanks everyone.
Nope. I believe when I was looking through FCC docs for the Note 4 that it will not allow simultaneous broadcasting of both. I'm pretty sure that would be the same for the GS5.

You slipped on this one. We've been discussing this for about a week.

Has anybody heard when sprint will enable wifi calling on iOS 8? I know that it is already available with some android devices. how difficult is it to enable for iPhones?
Please ask your questions in relevant threads instead of starting new ones.

Anyone else kind of disappointed with Sprint's phone lineup 2h 2014?

iPhone 6+ isn't the flagship device. Released/Announced same as iPhone 6.
Z3 and Z3 Compact don't have same features. Z3 is built with better products and 1080p screen amongst others.
If only one device is coming to the U.S. and being promoted by a manufacturer that's their Flagship.
Better response?
