  1. I'm sorry maybe I'm blind, but I'm seeing reports of Band 17 with 5Mhz channels.
  2. This is the one you want to get. https://www.gothamsound.com/product/3g-combo The range is 15Mhz - 2.7Ghz. It's the most "expensive" model.
  3. They don't have contractual obligation to use any particular provider, unlike Verizon or AT&T.
  4. It sucks that T-Mobile doesn't have a short term plan to cover rural areas with 4G, but they certainly did their fiber backhaul homework on time, years ago. Now luckily, that part of their deployment strategy is a non issue.
  5. The panels I'm trying to ID are these: I apologize for off topic.
  6. Not a Verizon they look like this: Is it Metro PCS CDMA/LTE setup? Or some old school ClearWire? It's puzzling with 6 ports at the bottom and no RRU... Cabinets right next to them. Looks legacy to me.
  7. Not sure exactly where would I get the right antenna, definitely worth a look!
  8. Ah good to know. Then it looks like WiMax is at the end of the range, although that may vary... On a completely unrelated note, can anyone ID these, they're driving me crazy I can't figure them out: 6 ports at the bottom, no RRU.
  9. Here is another 20Mhz sweep, what seems to be Sprint's LTE?
  10. This one site in my area of NYC surely looks like that TD-LTE Sammy setup. It's located in Astoria, on a extremely awkward rooftop, facing a small dead end street on one side, and busy avenue on the other side. But note the panel spacing, with one of the panels totally blasting at the side of the adjacent building! WTF? Would like to know what are the huge wide blocky panels? I've also ran some sweeps, and it looks like that site is broadcasting at the very end of their spectrum, 2669Mhz - 2689Mhz, 20Mhz slice. Seems there is a slight separation at the 10Mhz mark. It also looks like it's completely unloaded, which makes me think it's TD-LTE range.
  11. Looks like Windows software looks much better than Mac OS counterpart...
  12. Just built in. I'm guessing you could get directional antennas, but for city environment this is perfect!
  13. That's just crazy to me, but it is what it is. I'll keep scanning Manhattan and Brooklyn in the coming days, will need to gather more data from NYC.
  14. That would make sense, but I didn't expect TD-LTE in 2520Mhz range. Was expecting the same as in Denver in 2619.2Mhz - 2637.2Mhz. Is NYC Clearwire's Samsung market? It's all mixed up now with Sprint using ALU, etc... Luckily I did scan lower, and at this particular location found activity.
  15. Here is another video scanning 2.5Ghz range in Queens, NYC. Clearly OFDMA activity within 2520Mhz-2540Mhz span. Hoping it's TD-LTE, but it could be WiMax. Don't have UE to connect. There was another one in the 2626Mhz - 2636Mhz range, only 10Mhz: Sorry for terrible camera on my GS4 that refuses to stay focused. It's useless, will be using iPhone 5 camera from now on.
  16. I haven't tried directional antennas yet, but in my market I don't really have to worry too much for RF source. Mac software isn't the greatest, I have yet to try PC version.
  17. Got mine today, still getting used to it, I'm extremely happy so far! Thanks to Miguell2 for bringing this great device to our attention! It's interesting to see Verizon's AWS LTE in B block for testing purposes live in some areas of NYC. It's completely invisible under the manual search using commercial UE.
  18. I just ordered one, will stop by my local NY store and pick it up. $293 after tax.
  19. Ya coverage maps are absolutely atrocious. They don't help us subscribers, or T-Mobile. At all. I don't even know who invented the "rock star" term for Ray? Was it GigaOm or FierceWireless? Either way, it's stupid.
  20. Yuma, AZ is LTE as of March. I'm sure it used to be all GSM, but I've been getting LTE reports from Yuma.
  21. I assume you're exclusively talking about the coverage, right?
  22. Yeah but if he was to stop talking thrash, he'd be just like all other CEOs in the wireless industry. And no one would care. This way using his car salesman-like approach, he gets everyone to talk about T-Mobile. And it works. His company is clearly profiting. And as a bonus, he gets people on forums and social media (including S4GRU) to love him or hate him. But his strategy clearly made us talk about him and his company. So I'm pretty sure he isn't just gonna stop talking thrash about his competitors any time soon. That is his competitive advantage that clearly works for T-Mobile.
