Wish someone could or would fix the hidden prl write for MC3

I know if your very close to the coast you can pick up a signal from a ship which could be international or domestic depending on it's origin

Im running it also and for the most part all is well. Battery life is a little worse but its better than the original 4.1.2 update. This has modem revision MC3

So this came out today: http://www.engadget.com/2013/04/11/sprint-leak-has-lte-reaching-los-angeles-april-12/
In the image, the header states in bold that the announcement includes the Nashville market... but the list of cities affected aren't the Nashville market at all.
Memphis, Greenville, Tullahoma
Memphis is it's own market with Greenville and Tullahoma geographically far enough away to not even matter to the Nashville Market.
So what does this mean exactly? Maybe it was a typo and LTE will be officially turned on tomorrow for Nashville?
Nashville and some spotty areas across east Tennessee already have some usable LTE. Even Greenville

Your Sprint variant Galaxy S3 is incompatible with VZW LTE. So, you experienced Sprint LTE while roaming on VZW CDMA1X. This is nothing new -- it happens occasionally.
AJ
I see. Have you experienced seeing the R instead of a triangle while roaming?

I was traveling down I75 yesterday and my phone had just taken the 25013 update. As I was going through Cleveland TN around the 25th street exit I noticed I was roaming for a few moments and had 4G dispayed while I was roaming. I opened not roam control to see what network I was on and it said Verizon. Also for the first time I saw the roaming triangle notification turn to a very small R. Has anyone else picked up Verizon 4G while roaming or noticed the letter R indtead of the triangle on a Samsung Galaxy S3?

Do you live near another time zone? If you live close to a different time zone you can occasionally pick up from a tower in the next time zone which would change your time on the phone. Try turning off the setting for network time and see if the problem goes away

A Sprint tower just south of city limits near Athens has NV panels tied up to the top rack. I will try to get a picture but it's back in the woods on private property.

No one cares about Athens , Sweetwater is where the they need help .
I hear ya. Since there are like a total of 6 towers in the whole Western end of McMinn and Monroe county im sure they will all get attention around the same time.

Nice to see them get started in Knoxville though. They have gotten a couple towers in Cleveland going and one that works apparently only on one sector right off I75 at 25th street. Hopefully they will start here in Athens next.

It is kind like the feeling you get anticipating Christmas to arrive. You get your toys and play with them for maybe 5 minutes, but you had more fun counting down the days.
It will be kind of like Christmas every time they light up another tower though.....

I mapped the south end of Cleveland Tn this evening and verified there is a LTE signal along hwy 64 at Blue Springs Rd near the coca cola plant. I mapped it with sensorly so maybe it will show up on the map soon

It's officially on the map!

LTE is live around the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga.; I just drove around the area on Sunday and the strength is solid all the way around the outside of the speedway. I'd imagine several other tracks are already covered in other Sprint markets.
Most speedway's are equipped with temporary towers on the back of tractor trailer rigs during race weekend's. It's any bodies guess if they have upgraded this equipment yet.

While heading to work today on Highway 153 in Hixson, TN, I noticed north of Northgate Mall that I had 4G LTE coverage to my surprise. Even while I arrived at work, I had the same coverage. I had a speedtest of:
My Speedtest result in Hixson for Sprint (LTE) : 7.92 Mb/s (download) & 2.40 Mb/s (upload) via #sensorly
On the way home from work, I noticed that it covered till Amnicola Hwy. I am pleased that finally it has arrived, however, I'm hoping that the coverage will reach my home, which is near the airport.
I haven't seen any coverage that far east yet. Maybe in a few more month's at the pace they are going. Downtown is covered nicely though.

I mapped more LTE on the west and north side of Chattanooga tonight along Amnicola hwy to hwy 153. There is a cell site at the interchange from Amnicola and 153. As I went East on 153 I quickly dropped back to 3g. I wish I would have thought to get the id from that site.

Last weekend I saw a crew working on a us Cellular or AT&T tower running new cables up. They were working out of a horse trailer........

There have been 4 sites that went live in the Tri Cities Region this week alone.

That's good to know. I guess I figured this conversation would turn into more about how long it actually does take to complete a buildout in any medium sized city. I know there are many variables but just in general

But.....Chattanooga has another tower lit up today. That's 2 in 2 weeks!

In my opinion, compared to other similar areas, deployment in Eastern Tennessee has been going fast.
Robert via Nexus 7 with Tapatalk HD
Just going by what sensorly is showing it looks like they add a tower once every couple of weeks. At that rate its going to take a while to complete. I know that's not the whole picture just the point of view from those of us who have no clue how the process really goes.

Not bashing Sprint or any of the contractors and I have no clue how long it takes to do one tower but the progress in eastern Tennessee is very slow. Tennessee was one of the most progressive states to bring broadband internet to rural areas so I wouldnt think backhaul is the problem here

Yea it's only one month till the race's at Bristol so they are going to need that network up and going by then since Sprint is the main title sponser for the nascar cup series

I can pick up LTE from the Tower in Riceville TN near I75 but it seems like only one or two sectors are working. You can even see on sensorly's maps all the signal is to the south side of the tower. Is this normal as they fire up the new rru's? There was a tower in Cleveland that seemed to be the same way at first. I can say the LTE in Cleveland is working very nice now
