I am leasing the S6 edge with loyalty credit but I still have my S5 and it's still a good phone, just lacks CA

Awesome, tried it will a little better signal and can confirm CA activeIt only shows during an active download session. Try starting a speedtest, then immediately switch over to the LTE engineering screen and you should see the SCC signal data.
Also try to get as close to the tower as possible for faster speed, if you are getting 40+ mbps at -101db, its possible you may get over 100mbps when your signal strength is better than -80db (ideally low -70)

Bluetooth music streaming still gets choppy, seems better with the latest update (5.1.1) but I really was hoping the S6E wouldn't have this problem.
Battery life is short but fast charging is great.
The phone in general is still fast and it has never froze or locked up on me. The edge is more useful than you would think. And very customizable. I love the clock feature at night and you can set it to come on and turn off at any time you like.
The latest update added apps edge, I have not used it.
The latest update made the stock icons look like iPhone icons.

Band 26, and Band 41 LTE shows more bars. But they aren't in segments anymore or me eyes just can't see them. No special character or anything for a spark connection.

It does seem to show more bars on weaker signals now if that makes sense

Went to Cozumel Mexico a couple weeks ago. Before I went I added Sprints free International roaming plan to all my lines. Not sure why you have to add free options. Anyway I was connected to Mexico's Movistar network on wcdma with unlimited text and data and didn't get charged a dime. Thought that was pretty cool compared to the way other carriers charge for international text and data. Also connected to wcdma in the Cayman Islands with no charges.

You should be able to get band 41 outside of Ruby Tuesday but probably not indoors. Although at the Denso plant across the interstate I can get Band 41 insideIs this near the interstate or in town? Was at the Ruby Tuesday by the interstate yesterday and went from 3G to bands 25/26.

It's working at the moment

That was just a reply to the post about no Band 41 in Athens Tennessee

I posted pictures of the tower with its new panels last Fall. It's an odd site. It was 4G accepted at one point but was later pulled from acceptance. Not sure what the issue is. There is backhaul to every other tower in the area so I know availability is not the problem.

Of course your going to hear more from the unhappy users. Most of the happy users are going to be silent. I have no issues with my S6 edge even though it clearly doesn't compare to my S5 RF wise it's still a good phone. The irony in your last statement is that you are discounting the observations of many others in favor of the observations of you and your wife. "A few people's observations are not indicative of the entire user experience" could be directed right back at you.
Regardless, RF ERP/EIRP is not subjective -- it is quantitative. In our S4GRU article, we showed that the Galaxy S6 lab measurements did not compare well to those of its predecessor and its competitor. Now, real world measurements show likewise. That is not debatable.

The Sprint tower on the South end of Athens is still 3G only if you can imagine that. It has band 41 panels on it but no LTE of any kind has ever worked on that tower

I live near Athens and work in Athens every day but since the deployment of band 26 I rarely connect to band 41 so it's hard to tell if band 41 is working or not. I did connect to it outside one morning this week just west of I75. There is only one tower in Athens with band 41 active and the tower in Riceville has band 41, as well as the one in NiotaI've noticed Band 41 pretty much all over Knoxville and the Tri Cities. What pisses me off is the tower near my job that has Band 26 turned off. I either have to drop to 3G or use wifi if my phone doesn't drop to Band 25. This tower is in between 2 towers broadcasting Band 41. Has anyone noticed that Band 41 is not broadcasting in Athens, Tn lately?

I think the background moving with the phone movement looks pretty damn cool. The icons stay put but the background moves. Has anyone else noticed this feature?

From my experience in East Tennessee band 41 is active most everywhere and was easy to connect to, lately band 26 has been turned on most everywhere and your phone is locking on to that instead of band 41. We aren't allowed to give specific tower information in this thread though. Sprint's website does give a good idea where you should be able to get band 41

Lots of Band 41 all over East Tennessee now also.
