Welcome to S4GRU
-
Females give you a "hard time." Where? Ouch!
AJ
My generation of females lol. I should say
-
Oh, I know. Thanks for your contributions to S4GRU in multiple ways. I am just giving you a hard time. I like to chide and tease quite a bit. Consider that acceptance into my world...
AJ
lol Females do the same thing mr. hahaha
And thanks for the acceptance

Well, some of the sites that I have reported are 20-100 miles from home. So, I have made my rounds, too. But the key difference is that my reports get added to the official maps. When you see a new CDMA1X 800 addition in the Kansas market, chances are good that I am the source.
AJ
That's because well you're you and well I'm me. I just like contributing any way I can and The towers I've found 800SMR before they were mapped were here and Huntington. The little town Roanoke just had there towers lit up with 800SMR.
-
Absolutely, I agree. But if we are looking at the scoreboard, I am in the lead by about 12-0.
AJ
But, In achieving the same goal. We're actually 12-8. There aren't too many towers around that I can go to. They are spread out like crazy lol. I mean hell, you got one that you have to take a damn dirt bike trail to get to and all that is around you is trees and bushes and probably big foot!!
-
Plus, I get to keep my trophies. You have to hunt and release.
AJ
But I think we are trying to achieve the same goal. That's really all that matters Aj

Is the Att plan with 10GB of data expensive?

TD-lTE instead of LTE-A? Hm but I like it

I have been hunting CDMA1X 800 live sites and, thus far, have already bagged about a dozen of them.
AJ
Well shit. You won, I have only bagged one or two!

Due to some of the recent (now hidden) posts in this thread, I want to address a public message to our community here. S4GRU staff work hundreds or thousands of unpaid hours. Sometimes, we need to amuse ourselves to make this worthwhile. If you have a problem with posts that make humorous references to pop culture and famous people, my retort is "Too bad." Alternatively, staff can just decide not to do this any longer, S4GRU can go away, and you can be left again back in the dark ages of technically sound Sprint info.

You need to watch more than 40 seconds. Try the whole 16 minutes. Short attention span? Need some Ritalin?
AJ
I got 10 seconds into and was like -.- and skipped ahead and watched another 30 seconds and just was like -.-.-.-. lol and I do have ADD, But it isn't as bad as it used to be.

I can only speak for these three states but I'd imagine it is like this company wide. Per the retail director of OKI corporate stores all new customers have to be put on the new plans. No exception, if a customer demands the old plans a store manager must speak with the customer and okay the plan. As of now people adding lines or upgrading are NOT being forced onto the My Way plans, but they attempt to sell/switch them over.
I'm not sure what retailers are doing, I just know this is the directive all corporate reps are following.

Are you sure that this is not his "dream phone"?

You are being an ignorant consumer, caring only about the results that matter to you. We are not going to allow you to troll S4GRU with anecdotes about T-Mobile coverage on a little island thousands of miles away from the rest of us. You need to cut it out or take it elsewhere.
Back in the real world, aka the mainland, Sprint is kicking T-Mobile's butt in the Kansas market. Sprint has LTE deployed across major highway corridors where T-Mobile -- even after seven years -- still has no W-CDMA.
AJ
For 4G lte. It goes Verizon Sprint tmobile Att. Sprint was first with wimax of course, But we all know what happened there. Since then Verizon deployed LTE here and is #1 with LTE for now. Sprint is nearly complete with NV. NV2.0 Should begin sometime next year and Verizon will have some competition here. tmobile/att just started to work on there towers for LTE here. But att LTE is broadcasting from one tower atm.

It's not so had if your old lady goes with you.
lol I'm young. I don't have time worry about women. All you older folks got em

I cannot say more than I have. Our sources determine what we can share and what we cannot. People's jobs are on the line. So I only share what they feel comfortable with. Robert via Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 using Tapatalk
lol that's like going to a strip club and not seeing strippers. What a tease. xD. Tell your sorce I said thanks for the tease lol

I understand the 'chaotic' nature of a massive nationwide rollout that, despite what some people think, is very fast-paced considering the scale of the project. I work with many different communications contractors at worksites quite often, and most of them don't receive their assignments until they show up for work that morning. Don't forget, while there are only three vendors responsible for different geographical areas, there are many many smaller contractors doing the actual work. And some sites probably have more than one company doing difference pieces of the puzzle.
However, do find it a little surprising that a specification such as how to set the base station coordinates wasn't explicitly given on either a national or at least "Big 3" level. It's a piece of programming you would expect to be on a checklist somewhere. I would somewhat understand if offsets were an Alcatel-Lucent thing and actual locations were an Ericsson thing.. but it just seems to be random, with pockets of true coordinates in scattered areas, and offsets in others.
From a technical standpoint, I believe each site's true coordinates are configured somewhere for E-911 purposes, correct? Perhaps there is a "publicly broadcast offset location" bit somewhere that some contractors enable, and some don't?
-Mike
So contractors hired contractors?
-
There are all kinds of weird magical inconsistencies like this in the NV roll out - the only people who might know are the people doing the actual installs.

You'd think that the markets would at least communicate about small details. Or do they not talk at all with each other?
-
Let me pinch you to wake up from that dream...
IF my market can, Why can't others?
-
No duh. Every time you insert a 'lol' into a sentence, it makes it unreadable.
Then don't read it.
-
I'm not even sure what that means. There's some random letters in the middle of the sentence.
Okay, let me dumb it down for you lol. I'll open signalcheck/netmonitor and click the address below the connection type and it will take me to google maps and it will show a red dot for where the tower is and a blue dot for my current location. When I go to the red dot, the tower is within ten to thirty feet within that red dot.
-
No idea, no one at Sprint that you can get a hold of knows the answer or even understands what is currently in place with 2xxx. I've only see a handful of people say they had issues and they were Shentel market folks and also it fits right in with when the national PRL had the Shentel 800SMR SID added. I'm surprised it has gone on this long and has not been corrected.
It doesn't bother me those as I just run another PRL with 800SMR and roll with it but unfortunately Ericsson has been dragging their feet in my area on 800SMR.
I should flash ur PRL on my mothers Note 2. I know before the 2000 prl, she was connecting to 800 just fine
-
Yeah, those are some of the few markets that have actually broadcast their locations somewhat accurately. In the Nebraska market, Kansas market, Colorado market, and Missouri market, the locations that sites broadcast, even NV sites, are no where close to correct
really? Like if a tower is near the interstate, Lol it puts the dot right on the interstate. But it's within 10 ft of being accurate here. It's 99% accurate.

This makes sense. But I believe if the member is trusted and has solid proof. I believe that it should be talked over. But that's all I'm gonna say lol. I know my input means nothing to everyone else. I just like to put my ideas forward
