So when the "spark" logo Spins.. What does that exactly mean?
-
how Do you change the band priority on the mini?
-
What a nice list.

Bittersweet! Those of us with single band GS4s are presumably offered no reasonable upgrade path to the tri band device (aside from waiting out the contract..at which point this phone will have been rendered rather moot). But I'm still glad to see it come to fruition. Let's get bands 26 and 41 rolled out across America!
I tried to tell my family to wait till the gs4 with spark support would be announced and they go 4 of em for free :/ I wish they would have listened..

Sprint Debuts Samsung Galaxy S 4 with the Benefit of Sprint Spark
NEW YORK (BUSINESS WIRE), December 10, 2013 - Sprint (NYSE:S) expects to begin delivery of Samsung Galaxy S® 4 (16GB) with the addition of Sprint Spark™ (enhanced LTE) to its sales channels in the next few weeks. This enhances the current version of Galaxy S 4 with a design change to take advantage of unprecedented speeds by combining all three Sprint bands (800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz) of 4G LTE wireless spectrum.
Sprint Spark allows tri-band devices, like Galaxy S 4, to support active hand-off mode between 800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz and provide data session continuity as the devices move between spectrum bands.
Sprint Spark provides the capacity to greatly improve the performance of video and other bandwidth-intensive applications while opening the way for futuristic applications. Sprint Spark is designed to support a new generation of online gaming, virtual reality, advanced cloud services and other applications requiring very high bandwidth.

They're working on there towers here
-
My question is can ice accumulation cause problems with the cell towers or is it possible for them to fall almost like power line polls due to ice. Just curious because we are supposed to get a lot of ice here in Little Rock.
They should be good. We had a ice storm here a few years back and we just lost power... The phones worked when the Backups turned on.. And we lost power for 4 days lol

When is the auction & what are the odds Sprint picks it up?
Very good.

What are Sprint's upgrade policies about new phones if you haven't reached the two year mark yet? I got my iPhone 5 last October with Sprint.
You have to buy the phone outright

Finally spotted my first instance of 800 MHz 1x. This was captured near memorial city mall in Houston.

ah it's at night. 800 was on once or twice during the day for like 2 hours when it was on during testing stages. It was online after 10PM -5AM

I will not tolerate the excessive usage of memes. Keep it to a minimum or else infractions will be given.
Is this so now? What two "meme's" Okay lolz I guess I'll respond with videos and caption instead. Btw Thanks for deleting
There will be public information available by the start of 2014. If i can say anything sooner, it will be on this forum.
Are we now?
Yes we are lol. It's making me wonder what's going on behind the scenes

I suppose I need to do some scans of Sprint, VZW, and Cingular coverage brochures, circa 2000-2003, that I have archived somewhere. Sprint native footprint is nearly the same now as it was then. But VZW and Cingular (AT&T) have used their monopoly money to buy up everything else in site -- pun intended. Many of you youngsters lack the age and experience to be aware of that.

I came on here to be taught and learn things I've never even heard of or cared about. But I really don't appreciate the age comment as it isn't needed. We all learn some time in life about stuff. I'm 20 and last time I checked, other 20 year olds are out being reckless and getting locked up and so much other stupid shit. I'm actually trying to learn something not very many 20 year olds would care about.

They spring forth fully formed from Dan Hesse's bald head. But that gives Dan an enormous headache, so he can birth only a few site workers per day.

I didn't even touch on the point of contractors. They aren't an interest in the underpinnings that Sprint has to go thru just to get Network Vision off the ground. That isn't political bribery, just stupid bribery.
This may be off topic lol.. But where the hell did all these contractors come from? I mean... A tower repair a few people ect. But thousands of people? Where did they come from? It's not like this kinda stuff happens every year
-
People, you seem to keep forgetting one major thing. You can't make Network Vision happen any faster than it already is. Number 1 problem from the beginning is permitting because cities can be cranky about how things are done with applications. Number 2 problem is "tin-foil hat people" who try every possible way to interfere with such initiatives as Network Vision. Number 3, backhaul. AT&T, Verizon, CenturyLink, Cox, Comcast don't want to help others even when paid to do so. Look at the Albuquerque Market thread and you will see all about that issue.
Money is evil, it doesn't make the world go faster, it just has the appearance of such a thing. And number 4, you can't bribe politicians to make permitting go faster, because I hope you'll get caught, and then it'll be all your fault for slowing Network Vision. I will make sure that you get tortured in prison for trying to sabotage Sprint in their efforts to complete Network Vision on time!

They are paid good money to finish a tower though from what I'm understanding.

Dang lol xD Oh well. I was hoping it was actually active only when phone connects to B25/41. But dang, my mother got my brother the S4 mini through best buy.. I told her it's pointless to get a new phone if it doesn't support sprints new network and the best buy guy said the same thing L0L! But it seems as his 1x is disabled until he makes a call? Which is weird to me. The mini also holds 4G in my brick apartment.. And my S3 doesn't.. I'm so jealous.
