T-Mobile has partnered with Cisco to launch the world’s largest cloud native converged core gateway according to a tech channel on YouTube. Article should be found on T-Mobile’s website also. What do you all think?

Generally makes sense as 30MHz of PCS/AWS will have similar per-UE downlink capacity as 40MHz of n41/n77. However, per-sector capacity will be significantly lower as they're relying on existing 4x4 MIMO radios rather than dedicated mMIMO gear.
That said, I'd be surprised to see T-Mobile deploying 30+ MHz of n25 anywhere this year. And it's not really applicable to NYC, as T-Mobile doesn't have 30+MHz of contiguous PCS (25MHz+5MHz) or AWS (25MHz).I’m curious to find out how widespread N25 is currently, and also if any has been deployed in my market here in Florida.
-
I just saw on a YouTube tech channel that T-Mobile will label N25 as UC in markets where they can deploy 30-40MHZ of contiguous spectrum. Anyone know about this? Thoughts?
-
Has anyone spotted N25 yet? If so…what market?

Were speeds crippled?
I was driving so I didn’t get a chance to run a speed test.

Not sure what’s going on, but over the past couple of weeks I’ve been roaming on AT&T when leaving home for work. It’s only connected for about 5-7 minutes. Just find it odd because I haven’t roamed on their network since I had a Sprint SIM. Also picked up AT&T for a few minutes in the small town of Mayo, FL.

Sound like they are addressing band 41 density, which is my concern. Historically T-Mobile would give each site just the minimal number of bands it required. Now we just need the FCC to hold the 2.5 auction and for T-Mobile to score at least 100MHz contiguous across the county.
I completely agree. This auction needs to happen ASAP.

I'm really loving them pushing UC to more rural areas. I wonder what percentage of their coverage area they are targeting when they are done deploying N41
I’m definitely loving it. I never thought 5G would come to rural this soon…especially UC. When I first got my iPhone 13 Pro Lake City had plenty of UC. I was getting well over 600 mbps on a consistent basis.

Interesting, the coverage map doesn't even show 5G there yet.
I connected to 600mhz 5G a few weeks ago here. Today was the first time that I’ve connected to UC in Live Oak.

Connected to 5GUC in Live Oak, FL this morning on highway 129. Got a little over 100mbs down and around 18 up. I’m definitely surprised that UC is available in my super small town.

B2 is the LTE anchor band, not 5G. It's the anchor for n71 or n41.
Ok thanks for the reply. I was surprised to see the 5G icon because Live Oak, Fl is a really small town. Lake City which is about 20 miles east has excellent T-Mobile coverage. They have N71, N41, and B66 all over the city. Speeds are amazing there.

Over the past couple of days I’ve noticed that I have 5G in Live Oak, Fl. Went to the engineering screen on my iPhone, and saw 15MHZ of B2. For the deployment type it said 5G (NSA). Am I seeing B2 used for 5G or is 600MHZ also tied to what I’m seeing? I tried to upload the screenshots, but the files were too large.

Live Oak huh? Small world. We stopped and visited friends there this summer on the way back from Florida.
Oh really? That’s wild 😂. Very small world.

Suwannee County doesn't post their permits online like Columbia County does. However Sprint has numerous sites especially running down 129 in the middle part of the county where T-Mobile has none so I'd imagine they will be converting them. If I get some time I might swing by the building department to see if they have any permits. Some of the rural counties around here don't even require permits if they are just doing modifications.
Oh ok. Thanks for the information. I’ve connected to B2, B12, B71 since I’ve had the iPhone 13 Pro. I previously had an iPhone 8 Plus so I would only see B2 and 12 for the most part. Still haven’t seen any B66 in Live Oak. I did connect to N71 when out was out by the Walmart here. That’s probably because I-10 is right there.

I live in Lake City FL and they have L41 and N41 active on the watertower site down town. I was able to get similar speeds 1.5 miles from the site when I had clear line of sight to the site. Also they recently got permits to add N41 to several more sites.
Also they just got the first permit that I have seen in the area to convert a current Sprint only site to T-Mobile. The plan details are here https://webportal.columbiacountyfla.com/AlfrescoDownload.aspx?Site=BuildingAndZoning/BuildingPermits&NodeRef=6abd2930-76bb-458c-b7e3-fa71dc841a10
Do you know of any permits for Live Oak, FL?

Lake city is Jacksonville Market
Would Live Oak, FL be in the Jacksonville market also?

Not sure what market Lake City, Fl is in as of the merger, but I was connected to 5G UC about a week ago and I got 691 down and 83 up. This was using my new iPhone 13 Pro.

Can MOCN be applied to my account even if I’m on TNX?

Your wrong about Williston. Tmobile just gave Williston n41, b41, b71 n71 and b66. Previously it was 5mhz of b12 and 10mhz of b2. Believe me when I found it a few days ago I was shocked. And yes they are now faster than Verizon in Williston. I have all 3. ATT also upgraded to 5G almost around the same time.
They routed the radios thru the 600mhz antenna and when the do that b2 and b66 gets a 20-30% coverage increase from what it was with the older equipment. Then standalone n71 goes further even more than b71.
That’s great news. I’ve only been on TNX since November. I haven’t been to Williston or any of other other surrounding towns to try the network. Plus I’m still on an iPhone 8 Plus😂

143rd st and 31st Ave. Coverage maps show coverage as fair. I will be taking 3 phones with me each with a sim from the three different providers to test.
Verizon and AT&T are the more superior networks in the Gainesville area. Especially when you get out of the city limits to the outskirts...meaning little towns like Alachua, Williston, Newberry, Hawthorne, and Archer.

I am very content with T-Mobile service around the Melbourne FL area. I will be moving to the Gainesville FL area so my opinion might change.😄
T-Mobile is pretty solid in the Gainesville area. You should have no issues unless you’re out in the boonies.

T-Mobile finished up a deal to acquire Swiftel. Deal should close in Q1 2021. Saw a guy on YouTube report the deal.

My little hometown of Live Oak, Fl is getting a T-Mobile corporate store. It’s currently under construction, and should be complete within the next few weeks.
