My little hometown of Live Oak, Fl is getting a T-Mobile corporate store. It’s currently under construction, and should be complete within the next few weeks.
T-Mobile has partnered with Cisco to launch the world’s largest cloud native converged core gateway according to a tech channel on YouTube. Article should be found on T-Mobile’s website also. What do you all think?
I just saw on a YouTube tech channel that T-Mobile will label N25 as UC in markets where they can deploy 30-40MHZ of contiguous spectrum. Anyone know about this? Thoughts?
Not sure what’s going on, but over the past couple of weeks I’ve been roaming on AT&T when leaving home for work. It’s only connected for about 5-7 minutes. Just find it odd because I haven’t roamed on their network since I had a Sprint SIM. Also picked up AT&T for a few minutes in the small town of Mayo, FL.
I’m definitely loving it. I never thought 5G would come to rural this soon…especially UC. When I first got my iPhone 13 Pro Lake City had plenty of UC. I was getting well over 600 mbps on a consistent basis.
Connected to 5GUC in Live Oak, FL this morning on highway 129. Got a little over 100mbs down and around 18 up. I’m definitely surprised that UC is available in my super small town.
Ok thanks for the reply. I was surprised to see the 5G icon because Live Oak, Fl is a really small town. Lake City which is about 20 miles east has excellent T-Mobile coverage. They have N71, N41, and B66 all over the city. Speeds are amazing there.
Over the past couple of days I’ve noticed that I have 5G in Live Oak, Fl. Went to the engineering screen on my iPhone, and saw 15MHZ of B2. For the deployment type it said 5G (NSA). Am I seeing B2 used for 5G or is 600MHZ also tied to what I’m seeing? I tried to upload the screenshots, but the files were too large.
Oh ok. Thanks for the information. I’ve connected to B2, B12, B71 since I’ve had the iPhone 13 Pro. I previously had an iPhone 8 Plus so I would only see B2 and 12 for the most part. Still haven’t seen any B66 in Live Oak. I did connect to N71 when out was out by the Walmart here. That’s probably because I-10 is right there.
Not sure what market Lake City, Fl is in as of the merger, but I was connected to 5G UC about a week ago and I got 691 down and 83 up. This was using my new iPhone 13 Pro.
That’s great news. I’ve only been on TNX since November. I haven’t been to Williston or any of other other surrounding towns to try the network. Plus I’m still on an iPhone 8 Plus😂
Verizon and AT&T are the more superior networks in the Gainesville area. Especially when you get out of the city limits to the outskirts...meaning little towns like Alachua, Williston, Newberry, Hawthorne, and Archer.
