  1. It's a very noticeable difference between VOLTE calls on T-Mobile on my LG V10 compared to the S7 edge on Sprint now, I can tell the difference, it's WB audio vs NB it seems?
  2. That's what I thought, the Sprint phones of the employees (no S7's yet that I've seen) that I've seen all show in the call log HD in the log with Samsung phones here in Denver, so I don't know why it wouldn't show in the S7's and I hope it's not market relates?!
  3. Thanks, is the Wifi Connect Router the same as the Air Rave? What's the difference from doing a wifi call over my current home router?
  4. Guys, Just jumped on board the Sprint wagon with 2 lines (first time since 2012 when we left) on Friday and wanted to give my experience so far with the network here in the Denver metro. I have LTE Discovery installed along with the Speedtest.net (Ookla) and have been running speed tests galore the past 3 days. In my area of town NE Thornton 128th & Quebec approx the signal is at best marginal. My house we don't get very good service and the phone hunts around between B41/B26/B25 and doesn't seem to like any of them. Currently my B26 is showing -106dBm and when it switches to B41 in the house it'll be around -119ish and then switch to B25 at around -110ish. This morning we woke up to our phones saying no service and emergency calls only! When I walked downstairs it reacquired a signal, but a weak one at that. I went to the Sprint store yesterday to check my area to see if there were any outages and there were none. He did pull up the internal engineering screen and showed me the nearest towers that I should be connected to and one is 1.1 miles from my house and is the only one in the area with B41/B26/B25/CA he said that it has microwave backhaul. The other tower nearest to me is about 2 miles away and is a B25 only site with no current plans to upgrade to B41/B26 and is Ethernet connected (that's what the computer screen said about this particular site). He said that if my phone connects to this particular tower on B25 then that could explain the dropped calls and bad service? With no planned upgrades to this site that kind of sucks because we just moved here about 8 months ago and aren't moving anytime soon lol..... So if my service continues to be sketchy inside of our house then I'll have to see if they can send us a Air Rave. I spoke with technical support earlier and they said that our phones during activation at the store didn't finish completing the SCRTN process so the phones were missing the PRL & Firmware from the ##72786# so I updated both phones about 3 hours ago and the verdict's out on whether or not that is going to solve our issues here at the house?? She also said that they might not approve the Air Rave because on the coverage map it shows that we have good coverage at our house? I've driven all around the city over the weekend and the network seems pretty good speed wise when your on B41, speeds aren't that great if it's on B25/B26 but that's to be expected considering that there is less bandwidth with those frequencies. I'll be honest here coming from T-Mobile the network doesn't seem as dense as T-Mobile here in Denver, don't know if it has anything to do with tower spacing between them and Sprints towers? I have noticed more holes in the network compared to T-Mobile and areas where I would fall back into 3G or no service at all unfortunately. I don't know what's in the works as far as upgrades still to existing towers but I feel that there is still work to be done as far as densification and adding more B41 to areas that need spectrum. I'm only 3 days into my journey here with the new and improved Sprint as opposed to 4 years ago when we were last with them, but am probably going to stick it out and see what happens with the network over the next 12 months. We are saving a good amount of money coming over to Sprint so we are looking at this from a financial point of view for now. I promise my next response/thread won't be this long winded I just felt I needed to explain my initial experience in this particular thread pertaining to the Denver market. I wish things were better where I live, but we'll see if my area gets another Macro site/small cell or upgraded legacy sites near me soon (fingers crossed)?!
  5. Guys, I don't know if this is in the right thread, or if should pertain to my particular market thread but I just signed on with Sprint (2 lines) on Friday and since then I haven't been able to make or receive a HD voice call?? I even went to the store and the store employee tried calling my phone (S7 edge) and it said attempting HD call but was not successful in making it a HD call. We were in a good coverage area with the tower practically in the same parking lot at the corporate store. I came over from T-Mobile and had gotten use to the VOLTE clarity and thought I wouldn't be missing it that much considering Sprint had a form of HD voice through their 1x advanced correct? Anyhow when I look at my call log none of the calls to my wife or from her say HD call, and they sure don't sound like they are WB enabled? So is this a Samsung S7 issue with Sprints version?? Thx
  6. Thanks guys that makes sense now So the only way this particular license area to be covered by native B25 service, or at least the I-25 corridor through the remaining portion of southern Co and Northern NM would be for Sprint to add Macrosites to expand coverage if they so desired because they have the license to deploy is this area for the PCS G Block right?
  7. I see, ok so what does the blue line outlining the bottom part of the state going into NM for?
  8. Excuse the newbie question but do these filings mean that Sprint is going to start a LTE build out in these areas (shown map in link)pending FCC approval? Because it would be nice if Sprint had LTE service extending all the way from Pueblo down through Trinidad into Northern New Mexico Raton area!? But not sure if that's what these mean?
  9. Thanks Robert & Joski 1624 I will try cycling my router to get a new IP address to see if that fixes the problem.
  10. Robert, I have been having issues sending PM's since last night when one of my posts was merged into another thread (probably to clean up the clutter and redundant posts from what I hear). Anyhow when I try to PM someone it just says that I do not have permission to do this action, it doesn't matter who I try to PM it says the same thing I have no permission?? AJ thought maybe it might be a glitch or some rule you have implemented for new members? I'm just confused because I have sent PM's before and they have went through just fine until last night? Thanks for an explanation
  11. Ahhh....ok I see now where my posts are and where my thread last night went to. It was merged into the Marcelo/Town hall meeting thread lol I didn't think to look in that one as I didn't think it fit in there but low and behold it was moved into that thread. I'll start another post in this sub-forum to ask Robert about the PM issue and if there is a limit for new members like me. Thanks for your help AJ!
  12. AJ, Thanks for the quick response I guess the thread would've made more sense if I posted it in the investment thread in the General topics section. But I looked and my content wasn't merged in there? So I have no idea where to look to find the content? The topic was about Sprints financial situation in regards to a article that I read on Fierce Wireless about them being $30 billion in debt and a interest payment being due this year of $2.5billion. It wasn't a bash thread at all, I was concerned about Sprints financial condition after reading the article and thought I would post it here to get some feedback. I guess what I don't understand is why can't I PM anybody as it says I don't have permission to? I PM'd centermedic last night after the thead dissapeared to ask him what happened (he posted in the thread) and my PM went through to him, although he never responded back? And I've successfully PM'd another member on here and it went through and they responded back? Thx
  13. Robert, or anyone of the staff: I just joined a couple of weeks ago and have been enjoying the forum as I'm about to port over to Sprint next Friday. Last night I started a post in the General forum and it had about 10 or so responses and then when I went back to check the post it was gone! No warning or explanation as to why it was taken down???? I've tried to PM Robert, or any of the administrators for that matter and it says I don't have permission to PM people now?? Uhhh.......what did I do wrong here?! Can one of the administrators please PM me to explain what happened? Maybe it was a mistake or something? Thx
  14. Didn't realize Sprint hasn't been profitable since 2006!! Yikes But I'm glad the stock has went up to $3
  15. Makes sense kinda of lol...... Anyhow I was just concerned when I saw that they are carrying $30 Billion in debt and 2.5 Billion is starting to come due! Man I hope Sprint doesn't go under like Sears, Dish Network etc..... seem to be going towards? I want Sprint to succeed and be a healthy alternative for wireless consumers for many years to come
  16. I was just reading this article on Fiercewireless: http://www.fiercewireless.com/story/sprint-hopes-secure-much-5b-mortgaging-spectrum-and-network-gear/2016-03-02 And it made it sound pretty bad about the financial condition of Sprint having to borrow against itself?? Kind of confusing with how they are moving the debt around but nonetheless was concerned and wanted some feedback from the experts here just as I'm about to port over 2 lines over to Sprint next Friday 11th when the S7 Edge releases. Is there any concern about Sprint not being able to pay it's debt payments coming due and having to liquidate spectrum (2500 Mhz) saying that their treasure trove of 2500 is worth 115 Billion!!?? to stay afloat?
  17. I agree^^^..........I don't know how many Samsung allotted of the VR headsets per carrier? I wonder if they allotted a certain amount for each carrier in equal proportions, or they did it by subs and Samsung market share per carrier to determine the amount they were giving away??
  18. Well guys I'm about to make the jump to Sprint and I went to the store today to pre-order 2 S7 Edges for me and my wife and the associate told me that the warehouse no longer had any VR headsets! Dammit! He said they just got word this morning through their updated news that employees get (don't know what it's called?) that the "while supplies last" has been exhausted! I ordered the phones anyway and will port over both lines next Friday the 11th..........
  19. Very cool .......which means to be future proof it would be wise to get one of the phones you mentioned above to be on the safe side. I was contemplating the Note 5 but might as well look towards those phones for that capability (3xCA) and the micro sd card capability coming back to the S7/Edge again!
  20. Interesting didn't know that was how the SMR spectrum was utilized/split up with public safety channels. Glad Sprint was able to utilize all of that in one contiguous block after waiting for so many years! Good to know on the Band 25 & Band 26 situation here...Thx So has Band 41 been deployed on every cell site/location here in Denver/Colorado? Or is it a strategic placement based on overlapping towers or based on backhaul? How exciting to think of peak speeds of 240 Mbps with 3xCA but I'm assuming that's a ways off and I don't know if any phones are capable of that yet?
  21. Awesome! That's the info I needed to know (more out of curiosity). So this is the spectrum that Nextel was using for PTT correct? If so it's crazy that the Nextel network operated on such a small amount of spectrum for PTT. But then again maybe not that much was needed because that was back in the day when there were no smart phones (no iPhone yet for the smart phone revolution) and it was voice/PTT and text only basically? So based on your answer to question 4 above, your saying that the speed is the same for Band 25 (1900) 5x5 carrier in Colorado. Does that also mean that Sprint only has enough spectrum for Band 25 here in Colorado for a 5x5 carrier as well? Or do they employ more than one 5x5 carrier of Band 25 here?
  22. Guys, Since I'm still a newbie I have some more questions I hope you guys can answer for me: 1. How much 800 MHz spectrum does Sprint have nationwide? And this is considered Band 26 correct? 2. How much does the Colorado/Denver/Colorado Springs market have of Band 26......5x5, 10x10? 3. This is what phones will default to for better indoor penetration right? 4. When it defaults to Band 26 what is the capacity/speeds you usually get on this frequency?? Thx
