  1. Yeah, sadly I've been experiencing that since day one. Seems Like something is not quite right. Its either not tuned or hurry up and put another panel that goes in a different direction to densify the network. Im not sure if they accounted for signal penetration when removing two or three panels and replacing it with just one. Today, I was in Chana, IL. and the network was unusable for data. 4G was not in sight and ehrp/evdo was going in and out which meant all I was doing was timing out. These things shouldn't be happening anymore. Not a good experience for new subs that we poach from the big boys.

Surely, you looked at the nv sites complete map for Chana, right? I think I see the problem out there. :)

  2. So, in Chicago, you drive all day, every day, for a living. Then you are going on vacation in Vegas, and you are going to . . . drive? O-o-o-o-kay.

(Alright, I realize that the vehicles will be slightly different than your usual daily ride. But, still . . . :hmm: )

A semi truck is quite different from a Lamborghini. :)

  3. The problem with the Vegas market is that the strip is your tourist draw. It also happens to be the one place where Sprint lte service is terrible, so that leaves a bad taste with several million tourists/subs every year. Residents know that the majority of every other tower has LTE, and service is probably pretty decent in the valley. It's like two worlds. My dad lives there so I actually am able to be a tourist who leaves the strip. I can't wait to see how it has progressed since I was there two years ago, because it was pretty terrible. On a side note: my bachelor party kicks off straight from McCarren to the exotics racing driving experience, and I'm so excited, I can't sit still. Have any of you guys done that?

  4. Hey guys, I'm new to post here but have dropped in occasionally to lurk over the years. I woke up this morning to some great speeds at around 27 down and 8 or so up after that outage last night.

Was this an upgrade? And if so, will this effect how Sprint's network's handling or larger crowds/amount of people?

We don't know what that was all about. They could have coincidentally activated band 26 on your local tower. Check the field test screen for your connected band. Dial *3001#12345#* then "serving cell info."

  5. If there was an upgrade planned I'm sure the accompanying outage wasn't.

1x data seemed to work for me during the outage. Sprint dc continued to work during the outage which was odd.

But the outage rolled geographically, seemingly, north to south. What if they had to push something to every tower; wouldn't that cause the data side to go down while servers reboot? Phone calls worked fine. I'm not that knowledgable about this kind of stuff, so I'm just throwing thoughts out there.
  6. That service downtime hit the south burbs at exactly 0010 (my SiriusXM app stopped and I was connected to LTE but it was dead). It lasted until 0230. Hopefully it was a rolling software update to help with load balancing, and to include band 26 in that mix. A guy can hope, can't he?

  7. Micro usb always has a little left and right wiggle. Lightning cables do not. They're double-sided (great for dark room charging after a night of cocktails), and, has zero wiggle with a nice, assuring "click" when plugged in. Micro usb drives me nuts.

  8. It's really the quickness, ease of use, and superior app development that keeps me. Everything on android feels like it has an extra, unnecessary step to do almost anything, and of the ios version of my apps run smoother, and look better than their android counterparts. I can't wait for the 6/iOS 8

  9. Can you remind me how you know you are on a second carrier of B25?

On an android with signal check: your cgi will end in 03/04/05

On an iPhone field test or android engineering screen, your upload/download frequencies will be 26315/8315
