  1. If anyone is ever driving through Tennessee on I-40 and passing through Cookeville (its between Nashville & Knoxville), try this place, its both near me and maybe a mile off I-40:

Excellent pulled pork.  There's a Lebanon & Franklin location as well but this one is very convenient from the interstate...you'd just get off at exit 288 (Highway 111 which is a 4-lane highway as well) and go north to the 1st exit from there which is Spring Street, hang a left, and its on the west side of the Food Lion parking lot on your left.  Open Monday-Saturday 10:30am-8pm.  They have a drive-through window too.

  2. Oh, and I'm glad to see (AJ's slant aside) all the talk of pulled pork, I get tired of people who fixate on ribs when it comes to BBQ.  Not saying I don't like ribs, but most of the time I'd take pulled pork regardless of the region its from over ribs.

At the obvious and blatant risk of taking AJ's tangent and making it even worse, I think the reason for that is that pulled pork gets you more bang-for-the-buck in terms of the (portion) size of the meat.

  3. Murphysboro, IL has 17th Street the only 3 time world champions of barbecue. The world championships are held in Memphis. That's a pretty killer BBQ city too. Everyone talks about KC and Texas, yet those places get glossed over when they more than hold their own.

Been many years since I was there and sampled it but I'll definitely second this, some of the best food I've eaten to date still.  I skipped lunch and got the sampler platter of a smaller portion of everything for (at the time) about $21-22.

  4. Is this while you're on LTE? I'm in California, but everytime I'm on LTE my time gets screwed up by at least an hour.

Ditto, same here, usually the time is bumped up an hour ahead of reality when on LTE in my experience (Photon Q).

  5. Welcome to S4GRU greg, I live over in Cookeville myself.   And while you may not have been in the right spot(s) to experience it yet, Sprint LTE is live already in every place you mention as evidenced by Sensorly mapping.   Go to Sensorly.com, change to USA and Sprint 4G on the dropdowns, and zoom in to the Nashville+suburbs area and you'll see where LTE has been verified by Sensorly mapping already.  And more is added as the days roll on!

  6. To the sensorly rep:

Ever since the new Jelly Bean update on the Motorola Photon Q, the mapping functionality (note, *not* the app itself) keeps 'crashing' of a sort....basically, the process seems to halt/hang or something.  On an active mapping process, the spinning circle to the left of the 'elapsed time' timer will continue to spin, but the timer itself will suddenly flip to all zeroes and points cease accumulating regardless of whether you're mapping 2G/3G CMDA signal or 4G/LTE signal. Passive mapping processes will similarly 'crash' and the notifier/status bar icon at the top disappears when this happens (I have mine set to always scan passively anyway when vehicle docked)..

And as one other additional oddity, I went into my app settings after I got home this afternoon and noticed that oddly, it shows 'Battery usage today' reporting at 1272% (no, that's not a typo, it literally shows 1272% right now).  I'm not sure if that is interrelated or not, but I know its downright impossible.  I had even uninstalled/reinstalled the app a few days ago, and even if that value wasn't being reset daily, I haven't used even half that much of a cumulative battery charge over the last few days since then.

There's a thread on this here where others with the P-Q are experiencing the same issue:

  7. Oh, and just FYI, "The Isle of the Dead" recording that I posted is also Ashkenazy (this time, at the podium) and the Concertgebouw from that early 1980s era.

    AJ

I noticed, that's why I mentioned Ashkenazy and that CD in my followup post in fact!

And apologies for derailing your thread a bit ken....we now return you to your regularly scheduled NetCracker speculation, already in progress.
