Since it sounds like you have a minimal number of apps, just blow it up and start from scratch. Can't go wrong with that approach. If you start restoring apps and data from a backup, you're likely to just recreate the issue. No, I wouldn't say I'm a power user.. there are about five accounts configured on the phone, I use about 6-7 apps regularly, for reading, RSS feeds, slingplayer, others.
I couldn't give you ON time for the device from an historical perspective, but I'm just REALLY surprised at the huge drop (can't be described in any other way) of the non-use or standby time. I honestly went from 50-60 hours time off charger to 18 max. That just doesn't make sense to me at all.
Phone was really great at that, and now it's just not.
I'm afraid that a complete restore is the only option to at least TRY at this point. Any other thoughts much appreciated. And also if anyone has any good tips on doing the reset/restore. Is there anything one should restore, or just rebuild the whole phone up from the ground up again?

And I know it's only me and four other people in the world that care about this, but for the record, the barometer sensor still fails as it did under KitKat. So far, that is the worst part of the update, everything else is smooth, with the possible exception of a less sensitive GPS, jury is still out on that one.

I've had substantially better battery life today than a typical Kit-Kat day. I wiped everything and clean installed lollipop, then restored apps with titanium backup (very few did I restore data). With an hour of screen time and 8 hrs off the charger, I'm at 70%, with an estimated 15 hrs remaining. Very happy with that.

Anyone else having GPS issues since updating? Can't find me at all. Tried everything under the sun.

I just have to shake my head. Denver International doesn't have LTE within 5 miles of the airport and yet they are showing it as having Spark coverage. Hopefully that means they are very close to actually turning on at least one or two of their sites on-field. Maybe when I land in the foot of snow tomorrow, I'll be pleasantly surprised with some 4G warmth.

Can someone explain what these RDFs are? I have never been able to view them.

That's not the phone, it's the network doing what it is designed to do. You'll be disappointed when your replacement phone does the same thing.

The N5 was one of the best RF performers, so it's a pretty tough standard to meet. However, having had the N5, I would say the Note 4 is a very good performer on LTE. It's pretty rare to have dropped to 3G with the Note in places I had LTE on the N5. I have no concerns about it's RF performance.

Aside from the echo that the other end can hear while on a Wi-Fi call, the speakerphone quality is great.I believe he was saying that speakerphone quality is nad while on wifi calling. Cant comment as I have not used speakerphone while on wifi calling. Ill test it out next time I use wifi calling

Mine always passes the self test as well. You have the same issue. That value will never change as long as you are in SLC. Won't even fluctuate. This is a bit off for SLC

Also, if you live above 3000' or so elevation, try this and see what you get. Dial *#0*# go into sensors and see what your barometric sensor reads. I think there is either a hardware issue or a firmware bug where at higher elevations, it doesn't initialize properly and doesn't work. When I am below about 3000' and reboot, it starts working normally again. Second phone that has this exact same symptom at nearly identical elevations. There should be a value near your elevation displayed and the value reported should constantly fluctuate like the other sensors output you will see on that screen.

Anyone tried speakerphone while on a wifi call? Everyone I talk to says they can hear themselves echoing, but a regular network call is fine.

Don't use a VPN if you are. That caused that exact behavior for me in Canada until I disabled it.

Thanks, Santa, but I'll be in Leon, Mexico most of the day for work - probably avoiding the windows and wearing a Kevlar vest in the hotel. Not happy about it either.
On a side note, I am going to be selling my Nexus 5. I'm not sure if it's kosher to post that here, and if not, please delete this post. I thought I'd give fellow Coloradans first crack at it, if not, it's going to swappa.

This is off topic I know, but if anyone in the Denver area (or really anywhere in Colorado) has a Note 4, could you please PM me? I'm trying to figure out an issue with the barometric sensor on my Note 4. I posted something in the device forum, but this is more specific to Colorado and the GN4. Thanks and sorry for the interruption. :-)

Anyone who lives in a higher elevation location that has the Note 4, I need your help. My Note 4's barometric sensor will stop reporting values after I've had it at home for a day or so. When I am flying, it starts working again, often once the aircraft is pressurized and it will continue to work in all the cities I overnight in, but once I'm back home in Denver (about 5380' at home), it will report a single value constantly. If you live in at a higher elevation, could you report if your Note 4's barometric sensor reports correctly? Thanks!

Any ideas how to install one of our custom PRLs yet?
-
Probably better to refer to it as the GN4. The N4 is the common expression for the Nexus 4.
Robert
Probably pretty safe calling it the N4 in the Note 4 thread - besides, the Nexus 4 is soooo 2012!

I don't see LTE 1900 listed on note 4?
Have we not seen it come through the FCC yet? That will give you the answer. I would be very surprised if the N4 didn't have support for all of Sprint's LTE bands. If that's the case, I'm obviously not going to "upgrade" to it then.

Even if you watch HD streaming on your phone, I guarantee that 3Mb/sec is more than enough. On a screen that small, you absolutely will not notice the difference between 1080 and 720. Probably would be hard pressed to notice the difference between 720 and, say 650 or similar. You're getting caught up in the "my screen size/ppi/network speed/megapixels is/are bigger than yours" numbers game. Anything above 3-5 Mb/sec on a phone/phablet is unnecessary, it's just nice to have.

Same here... Second time in about a week. They sure don't want me to keep the custom 513 PRL.
Oh well, I have it backed up in my EFS backup in TWRP.
So once I've reinstalled the 513, if I backup the EFS , then if (and when?) it automatically updates, all I have to do is restore my EFS backup and the PRL will come along for the ride? No ADB on the computer to restore the goodness that is 513?

Would it be possible to manually add notes to tower info without connecting to it? There are a lot of markets that are documenting GCI's and we could pre load them in.

Doubt it.
Doubt what? That it will be his last Android phone, or that Google will skip 4.4.3?

Ah okay, so it's specific only to android. Makes sense.

I wouldn't think that's something that would be limited to one OS or another. The info should come from the site you're connected to, no kind of info needs to be pulled from the phone, which would then cripple the Apple version of the app. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how Signal Check determines the carrier you're connected to.

I've never been impressed with the GPS in this phone.
