Good to hear! Hopefully LTE is flipped on at least 1 tower by late summer/early fall.

As someone who USED to live in Lincoln, ne, (and will be moving back sometime) I can tell you the wait for LTE is worth it. I am very anxious about lincoln getting lte. As of a few days ago, NO PERMITS have been issued/pulled for sprint towers in lincoln
If you were to guess, how long do you think it will be before Omaha/Lincoln have LTE? Summer? Fall?

I was down in KC this weekend and got to experience LTE for the first time. It seemed like I dropped 4G quite a bit. I would have a great connection and then it would drop to 3G and I would have to toggle airplane mode to connect to 4G again. Is this normal or is something going on with my EVO LTE?

I just saw this thread and got excited ( ), but then saw it was just from some low-end tech. Hopefully Omaha/Lincoln's LTE buildout starts in the first half of 2013.

I'm heading to Pasadena in about a month. I was hoping on testing LTE for the first time. Has anyone connected to LTE in Pasadena?

Since there is a 4G core in Omaha, does that increase the chances of LTE going live sooner?

Last two Second Round markets will be announced tonight in chat. That will conclude the last markets that are expected to start in 2012. Remaining markets will be 2013 starts. Stay tuned.

Let's hope it is announced. I don't want to leave Sprint, but I don't want to buy an LTE phone and have to wait a year to be able to use it. I did that with the Evo and Wimax and I don't want to do it again. :\

I'm wondering the same thing. I am due for an upgrade and am seriously considering switching to Verizon since they have had LTE available since last summer. I will probably stick with Sprint until June, but if they haven't announced any LTE plans for Omaha by then, I'm gone.

Yeah they are amazing speeds compared to what I normally get, which is about 0.30 down and 0.30 up.
