Good news to report, I was getting about 2.6mps down and 1.0mps on campus in Lincoln today.

I wonder how it will hold up during Husker games.  Normally I get kicked down to either 1x or lose connectivity all together,

If someone figures out where it's at, I will drive by there and test it.

 

I just made teh switch to Sprint last week, and was crossing my fingers that LTE would be here soon.

 

Only getting .2 to .4 on the west side.

Awesome!  I wonder if it is broadcasting LTE yet.

Yeah the pings aren't great, but the speeds are a big improvement. I was getting 0.4Mb a month or so ago.

I did some speed tests this morning and I got some very encouraging and impressive results.

On 680 near West Center

84th and I-80

84th and Giles

I did, I drove to Valley thinking of all the LTE joy and I got there and nothing (I even tripled checked my phone to make sure data was set to CDMA/LTE). I then ran a speed test and got the awesome speeds of..... .14 MBPS down and .24 MBPS up. I assumed that atleast the 3G speeds would have increased.

First site accepted in the West Iowa/Nebraska market yesterday. And it's LTE! It's on the far west side of the Omaha metro area on the way to Fremont. It will appear on the Sponsor maps in the next refresh.

I found the tower and Sprint confirmed that it has been turned on. On my out there later to see what is going on. Hopefully I'll have screenshots later!

Has anyone in the Omaha area noticed their data connections dropping out in places that it had worked in the past?  I can't get anything around Village Pointe (which has had issues for about 6 months) and then barely 1X speeds on 132nd from Dodge to Maple.  Hopefully it is because they are upgrading the current towers, but it is data speeds like this that are making me want to dump Sprint recently.

When does the refresh happen? I was about to head out for some errands and I was going to drive past and see if I got a signal or if any work was being done on the tower.

Here is a tower at about 84th and Giles.  I couldn't get that close, but it looks like there could have been something going on.

I was over at Village Pointe last night and the speed test was still a joke 1000ms ping with 0.03 download and upload. SIGH

Man we really need help out were I work/live which is the west end of town. From last Friday.

 

Could not even stream 28kbs so I could listen to my internet radio.

I was getting 0.09 mb/s down around i-80 and the Giles exit. I just ended up flipping on XM. :\

 

Very plausible info received. They are starting work.

For what it's worth. I was doing some work at a Lincoln site that us cellular is upgrading to 4g and a sprint worker was there troubleshooting something. I asked if they where ever going to upgrade and he said they will be this summer and want to have it up and running by the first husker game.

If LTE is up by then I will be so happy.

Do Sprint or Best Buy have store display models for them? I'm just curious to see how it works.

Wow, I'm really surprised that Fargo, ND is getting LTE before Omaha/Lincoln, NE or Des Moines, IA.
