Where at? I can't get that anywhere I go
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 4
Agree I've seen nowhere near that best I've pulled is about 1mb down, but then I dint had or toward ave b ask that much.
-
It will come, i cant live without unlimited data and unlimited LTE is going to rock!
I agree, once lte hits unlimited data will rock. I can hold out till then. Of course I say that since I upgraded to an S4 back in April, so I'm locked in for another 2 years.
-
The tower on Fortuna by the Jack in the box was not being used, had no panels on it.
But wouldn't be surprised if there was some damage to other towers, those were some bad storms
-
Same thing in Yuma, hopefully it a sign that work is continuing
-
Sweet! See patience is a virtue
-
For me most of the time sprints slow data doesn't bother me as I am not a "heavy" data user. However not sure if the fact I am not a heavy data user is due to sprints slow speeds.
Only time will tell, can't wait for lte
-
I work at the air station in yuma. Speeds suck until about midnight. During the day downloads go at about 20-30kbps at midnight 120-150
I agree for the past couple of weeks speeds at the air station have been garbage...Used to be decent, but not as of late.
-
Nope didn't reset my phone, I did try to update prl and profile...nada. I wasn't out there yesterday, could be the tower was just down. Although I was out by the Wal-Mart on 8e and 32nd, could only pull Evdo still
-
No Erpdh at the Air Station in Yuma yesterday either...still evodo.
-
Odd activity today. Was at the MCAS in Yuma, was only connecting on Evdo and speeds were horrendous, actually network signal completely dropped out at times. Normally pull Eprhd in that area...what gives
-
3g speeds in Yuma not to bad. Was across the street from the Air Station and was able to pull 1.2mb down and almost 1mb up, but there is a tower right there.
Speeds drastically dropped off about 8 miles east heading back to the Foothills. Could barely get 200kb up and down.
-
Yeah it is a bit frustrating, but the way I figure it, with SoftBanks purchase of Sprint and Sprints purchase of Clearwire...Sprint can do nothing but go up. I've been with them for so long I'm willing to wait it out. Can't beat Sprints prices and I've always thought they had good customer service, especially for folks that been with them as long as me
-
Yuma still Slow. Their capacity is maxed out. Sad to say but I just got off the phone with Sprint and they are waving my ETF so I can move to another carrier. They could not provide any info on network status so I think I'm out.
That stinks, I just renewed when I upgraded to my s4. But I'm driving it out with Sprint, Been with them for over 13 years. Plus I'm military so I will not be in Yuma forever, possibly move to a better coverage area at some point.

Fair to assume, FanofSkynyrd, that one of these 2 lines of LTE is where you got that speedy service.
Yup, that one heading east almost right after coming out of the mountains. Literally the middle of nowhere!

Yeah, hopefully the NV helps bring our speeds up to snuff. Then if we could maybe add at least one more tower in the Foothills to ease up the congestion on the towers out here, we'd be good
-
So not exactly Yuma, but was on my way back from San Diego, heading east back to Yuma. Just as I came out of the mountains, about 40 miles from El Centro I pulled this
I'm excited to see what speeds for lte will be in Yuma once it goes live. If I get even half of that I will bee stoked!
This was my first real taste of lte. Hit it a couple times in San Diego but barely pulled 4mb down and 1mb up there.
-
Any good gouge for Yuma? Havent seen any LTE yet, but was getting decent (1Mb down / 800Kb up) in vicinity of Yuma Palms today.

Last I checked, about half the towers in Yuma were upgraded, or at least started.
I believe they started but have not finished. Havent seen any real changes in 3g speeds personally
-
I cant speak for Tuscon, but status in Yuma is so/so. Compared to like 2 weeks ago its lots better cause I couldnt even stream Pandora, but I still think theres a good amount of work yet to be done. Cant wait though because the work has been started, and now with the influx of money from Softbank merger, it should help to speed along the updates a little faster...fingers crossed!
-
They still must be messing with towers in Yuma, drove all the way from Foothills through Yuma to a friends house just outside of the city....EvDo the whole way. On the way back to my house in the Foothills about 4 hours later, Ehprd, but couldnt get a data connection (no internet, Facebook, etc.), couldnt do a prl update nor a profile update.
I know this is all pains associated with the upgrade...but the saga continues!

Thanx for posting. Looks like still no work being done yet.

Yeah I didnt think to check my network status while I was right by the tower, but I did about 1.5 miles down the road....Evdo
My data speeds have been lagging everywhere around town...cant even stream Pandora when I'm in the gym.
However, I know the end to these slow speeds is near and I am anxious

Good to see two towers being worked on at the same time. The one on Riley Ave and 18th is being upgraded too.
Ryan, do you travel to the Foothills much? I'm curious to see if any work as been done to the tower down by Foothills Boulevard south of I8.
I don't go up there that much so I can't confirm, but if you make that travel would you mind taking a gander?

I live off exit 12 Fortuna...I'll try to get out of work early one day this week and swing by and snap some pics. Any idea exactly where off exit 14 the sprint tower is?

Will the 800 CDMA/LTE be added if an agreement can be made with Mexico? Yuma is out of luck if not as we are like less than 10 miles from the border.

Write things got really quiet around here!
Anyone else hoping that the drop in temps will help speed along whatever the hold up is for Yuma?
