  1. 3g speeds in Yuma not to bad. Was across the street from the Air Station and was able to pull 1.2mb down and almost 1mb up, but there is a tower right there.

Speeds drastically dropped off about 8 miles east heading back to the Foothills. Could barely get 200kb up and down.

  2. Yeah it is a bit frustrating, but the way I figure it, with SoftBanks purchase of Sprint and Sprints purchase of Clearwire...Sprint can do nothing but go up. I've been with them for so long I'm willing to wait it out. Can't beat Sprints prices and I've always thought they had good customer service, especially for folks that been with them as long as me

  3. Yuma still Slow. Their capacity is maxed out. Sad to say but I just got off the phone with Sprint and they are waving my ETF so I can move to another carrier. They could not provide any info on network status so I think I'm out.

That stinks, I just renewed when I upgraded to my s4. But I'm driving it out with Sprint, Been with them for over 13 years. Plus I'm military so I will not be in Yuma forever, possibly move to a better coverage area at some point.

  4. So not exactly Yuma, but was on my way back from San Diego, heading east back to Yuma. Just as I came out of the mountains, about 40 miles from El Centro I pulled this

I'm excited to see what speeds for lte will be in Yuma once it goes live. If I get even half of that I will bee stoked!

This was my first real taste of lte. Hit it a couple times in San Diego but barely pulled 4mb down and 1mb up there.

  5. I cant speak for Tuscon, but status in Yuma is so/so.  Compared to like 2 weeks ago its lots better cause I couldnt even stream Pandora, but I still think theres a good amount of work yet to be done.  Cant wait though because the work has been started, and now with the influx of money from Softbank merger, it should help to speed along the updates a little faster...fingers crossed!

  6. They still must be messing with towers in Yuma, drove all the way from Foothills through Yuma to a friends house just outside of the city....EvDo the whole way.  On the way back to my house in the Foothills about 4 hours later, Ehprd, but couldnt get a data connection (no internet, Facebook, etc.), couldnt do a prl update nor a profile update.

I know this is all pains associated with the upgrade...but the saga continues!

Yeah I didnt think to check my network status while I was right by the tower, but I did about 1.5 miles down the road....Evdo :(

My data speeds have been lagging everywhere around town...cant even stream Pandora when I'm in the gym.

However, I know the end to these slow speeds is near and I am anxious

  8. Good to see two towers being worked on at the same time. The one on Riley Ave and 18th is being upgraded too.

Ryan, do you travel to the Foothills much? I'm curious to see if any work as been done to the tower down by Foothills Boulevard south of I8.

I don't go up there that much so I can't confirm, but if you make that travel would you mind taking a gander?

I live off exit 12 Fortuna...I'll try to get out of work early one day this week and swing by and snap some pics.  Any idea exactly where off exit 14 the sprint tower is?
