  1. So in Yuma the Foothills Blvd tower still is not broadcasting lte. My Airave crashed at home and had to call sprint for a replacement, the tech said the system showed that tower is scheduled to be lte live in the next 3 months. I still have no idea why that one tower was left out of the mix when all the other towers in Yuma went lte live

  2. If its the one right across the street from that shopping center, then yes it is. Should be just on the other south side of the street on 40th street. There are two carriers on that site. Top one is At&t bottom one is Sprint.

The one I'm talking about is in this area

  3. If its the one located on 3E and 40th. Sprint is located on the second tier; the top one is At&t. If the crews are working on the second tier, they might be making final adjustments to the antennas to go live. Same thing happened to the one on Atlantic Ave before it went live. The crews were adjusting the location of the antennas, then about a couple days later the site went live.

It was not that tower then I saw the crews working on. It was the one a little further north (like 1/8 mile) off 3e, right by the little shopping center and Jack in the box and Chevron.

  4. I downloaded the Sensorly app and mappped down Fry Blvd and MLK Blvd. It shows up on my phone but not on the web page. I am new with this app is there something I need to do to get it to upload?

Give it a little while, sometimes takes a couple of hours to upload trips you map

  5. I think there is atleast the left, one by the air station, one out by the Wal-Mart by 8e, and the one out of Foothills blvd...would be nice to see 4g out by my house, in town coverage is pretty good...even got coverage sitting in the Harkins movie theater a couple weekends ago

  6. Good stuff, Jeff! :)

I've got a small to-do list still running if anyone's bored:

Tucson HTC/LG/iPhone folks: We've only got hex IDs for the new tower at OG/Oracle. If you're bored I could use 'em for the rest.

Tucson Samsung/iPhone folks: We don't have confirmed serving cell IDs for that new tower, Park/18th, or the one in Drexel.

Yuma Samsung/iPhone folks: We've got hex IDs for everything, but we don't have serving cell IDs for anything. Not a big deal if Hypeo is going to be the only person handling this...

Southeast AZ folks: I hope people are running Sensorly in Santa Cruz and Cochise County. :P

I'm in Yuma and a Samsung user, what do you need I'll try to do what I can

  7. It's the one in front of it next to I8

Ah, thx. Not the one I saw the cherry picker on then. Wishful thinking I guess.

I drive by there everyday though so I'll keep my eye on it for activity.

Strange signal issues today though. So I work of 195 and County 14, I usually get about 3-4 bars of coverage but today I could only pull about 2-4 bars of roaming all the what from there, up Araby, on I8 and into town. Id say I finally picked up a Sprint signal around exit 2...weird

  8. Anyone have an idea which tower is Sprint's out by the Wal-Mart on 8e and 32nd in Yuma? Is it the one across the street in that fenced in compound which looks like it had multiple carrier panels on it or is it the one just east of the Wal-Mart?

I saw a cherry picker out working on the smaller tower just east of it for the past 3 days now.

  9. In south county too...

With Sensorly, I was loosing signal completely at times, near Ave B & Cty 19th. In San Luis AZ the same, when you move away from the Hwy 95 corridor.

On a side note: It's fun mapping with Sensorly..... I find myself looking for places to drive though on my trips just so I can map it.......

    (Can't wait for LTE......)

    Lateck,

I would agree, a tower in the south of the country would be nice. I'm in the Marines and our shooting ranges are located in the southern portion of the county.

I think I roam on a Mexico tier when I'm down there

  10.

Do you know if Sprint has plans to add more towers in Yuma County?

I have been playing with Sonsorly (FUN  ) and I am finding a lot of 1 & 2 bar 3G areas.

I have not seen an acceptable speedtest in the county.. (on Sonsorly)

But the main corrador of Yuma is in the 3~5 bar 3G range ;)

    Lateck,

To answer your questions about sprint adding more towers. Looks like they are. If you look at the sprint network enhancement map, looks like they added one more tower on 24th Street and 4th Ave,

Blast! They need to add another one out in the Foothills...maybe just north of i-8 exit 12 seeing as how that is only about 3 miles from my house...that would be great!
