I actually live between that one and the one near shaw and minnewawa. Are neither accepted? Also, any idea why the two days of LTE on the old town tower happened - just testing?

I think the shaw/minnewawa site is accepted. The one near the rodeo grounds is being tested or they're having problems with it.

There's no B41 gear on that site yet, either.

As for the speed test results, it's been between 2/2 and 15/4 depending on the site and the signal strength. I think I'm spoiled by the signal propagation of Verizon's B13, but so far the reach of B25 has been mediocre.

That site isn't accepted for LTE yet.

The alluvial/peach site has about as much reach as a quadriplegic amputee.

The sprint map had 55 upgrades for 93612 as of last night and today it is 64. LTE baby

I think the site on golden state is active because the signal strength was good.

Also have lte at central and golden state.

No that site has not been on the map up unto now. The only ones that were are the ones south of town.

I see that the woodward site isn't on there (not surprising; it is a brand new GMR setup) and also the Ashlan/Cedar site isn't there, either. That's a weird one because it was one of the first to get new hardware.

That site must be a GMO, or they did it without a permit. 6 months to issue a cell site modification permit is just asinine.

Kind of a moot point now, but the downtown site at Fresno/Van Ness does have new hardware.

I'm curious to see if the site at Ashlan/DeWolf is 3G accepted because the permit for that one is 3-4 months out from issuance.

The existing antennae aren't actually "on" the roof; they're up near the top of the building, though. They should be easy to spot.

If you poor, poor souls that work downtown get a chance, check out the top of the fresno county education building across from the bank of the west at fresno and van ness. If you can get pics that would be awesome.

My money is on a cluster launch for Fresno within 2 weeks. We're down to five sites that haven't been anointed with NV hardware.

Given that I have no intention of renewing my Sprint contract, it's kind of bittersweet. Even so, I'll probably still keep track of the B41 deployment.

No it doesn't. Sprint has 40,000 sites; they don't have time to screw around with extremely granular selection of backhaul vendors.

No. 1900 and 800 are 5x5 and B41 is 20x20 (I think?) B41 is kind of a moot point because of how crappy Sprint's tower spacing is and the fact that they are at least 6 months away from deploying that gear.

No, it doesn't. Sprint does not have any awareness or desire to have awareness about small fry ISPs like Sebastian unless there are no other options in the area. I can't remember which direction that dish is pointed but it may be pointed at another Sprint site with fiber backhaul.

I used to service a client out in Kerman that had a 50/5 or 50/10 FTTP connection from them and it was flaky as a fine croissant, anyway.
