Sprint has made strides in Houston. Good for them.Sprint tied for first with Verizon and AT&T in Houston.

Sprint has a noticeable lead over all the others in median download speeds.

As for VoLTE, it has been working flawlessly for me. No issues whatsoever.

Doubtful. It's really not that serious.Magentans and other Sprint haters would abuse it with false reports.

Yea, VoLTE would be awesome.Haha, every metrics except speed, really. Just wish Sprint had a way for simultaneous talk/data. It really does wonders when Sprint's rural coverage is still more consistent with ~20k less macros than T-Mobile.

Stupidity on both sides. Don't add to it.Well atleast here I can post my slow speedtest's without getting it downvoted by the magentianites on reddit
Even if it's a VALID problem, the magentianites will trash it, While they have no problem going to the Sprint subreddit and trashing them on their congestion issues also

Seriously?IIRC from back when I read The Verge a lot (i.e. ~2013-14) the problem with their Sprint perception was that nobody on their staff (I'm not exaggerating here; there are quotes on this in their podcasts) has used Sprint since they carried the Palm Pre. They rely completely on service reports from family members. And as a result they never took (nor currently take apparently) Sprint seriously as a national carrier. They always referred to them as a second-tier Cricket-class carrier below T-Mobile.

But back on topic -- none of these carriers are our friends! They are in business to make money.
People seem to forget that.

Sprint has the spectrum and with the densification project pending, I know Sprint will turn it around. There's light at the end of the tunnel. No, I'm not afraid that you might disagree with me and no I'm not afraid of debate. We used to have a great time in the chatroom together way back in the day. A lot has happened in life since then. You are very open and honest with pretty much everything. I rarely do post anymore and I do feel bad about it because I do miss the site. I just am getting increasingly nervous about this company and its forward progress. The financials are really not looking good and public perception is still in the toilet. Somehow they need to get the message across. If T-Mobile can do it, there is no reason why Sprint can't!

I have been on this site since the initial WiMax days, but I have to say, I have been afraid to post some of my thoughts in the past because of how anything negative can be perceived.
Unfortunately, I've noticed this trend as well.

Didn't Sprint just tweet about it and create a countdown page? That's now overhyping? I actually don't get the overhyped storyline. No TV Commercials or billboards. And it was kind of the last minute.
It wasn't overhyped. Even S4GRU members were largely dubious it would be anything worthwhile. But to tech enthusiasts, it was probably all a spectacular fantasy. You people who claimed Sprint overhyped this are in fact the ones who over hyped it. The rest of us were pessimistic.

Very underwhelming.
Marcelo should have just announced an increased tethering amount, no activation fees, etc.
The hype was totally unwarranted for the "promotion" and craplet.

Speed still going strong here: 55 download 33 upMost likely that is what Tmobile will feel across the country if they keep adding customers. They don't have the spectrum for growth, and that is where Sprint will shine.

Speed still going strong here: 55 down 33 upMy speeds have taken a hit also. I normally pull atleast 40mbps at my house and now I can't even get past 7 mbps.

One reason why I left Sprint. When I first left AT&T for sprint I was appalled that you couldn't use data while on calls and it still bugs me so I can't wait until the VoLTE launch.

Because people take this crap too seriously. If everyone realised that both companies don't care about their users as much as they claim and only cared about the $, then they would stop being fanboys. To Sprint, T-Mobile and every wireless company, we are just another dollar.
My sentiments exactly.
Childish fanboys.

If you know the validity of your work can not be questioned, who are mere peasants to even open their mouths to disparage S4GRU?You act as if we at S4GRU occupy a Moon colony or live in a Hasidic community. Do we not also exist in and interact with the world at large? Can we not also contribute to learning elsewhere?
My name and track record in online wireless research are well known for over 12 years. I have written thousands of informative posts, published dozens of scholarly researched articles. In short, I have done almost unthinkable amounts of pro bono work -- while the peanut gallery does nothing but comment. Yet, even when I refrain from opinion, when I post something factual outside of S4GRU, the T-Mobile trolls tend to swarm on it like flies. Anything Sprint or S4GRU related is tainted.
AJ
T-Mobile parasites should stay at Tmonews or wherever else they infest.
No need to mention them here. This is a pretty good site on its own.

I honestly don't recall saying anything about him there. I hardly even visit the site. You are in the T-Mobile thread of a Sprint site. What in the hell do you think is going to be said? Get real. The question for you is why are you seeking Sprint information in the T-Mobile thread? Why are you really here at all?
The best I can tell, you are here just to stick your finger in AJ's eye. You even have bitched about AJ over at T4GRU.

Never said I was seeking information in this particular thread. The Townhall Meeting (General Sprint) thread is where most of the new information is presented. You are in the T-Mobile thread of a Sprint site. What in the hell do you think is going to be said? Get real. The question for you is why are you seeking Sprint information in the T-Mobile thread? Why are you really here at all?

Made a spontaneous comment in this thread. He replied to me. I replied back.
I have no issue with the guy, for some odd reason, he always seems to find me.

Do "T-Mobile trolls" affect your Sprint service? Of course not!Why "internalize" it? You are divorced from reality. Vociferous T-Mobile trolls have both internalized and externalized it.
Try objectively commenting on an article elsewhere about T-Mobile and/or Sprint. You can provide facts and statistics about Sprint, setting the record straight. No matter, T-Mobile trolls will overrun those comments with their anti Sprint, anti S4GRU agitprop.
AJ
I browse here to keep up with Sprint’s improvements. Unfortunately, I can't go two posts without someone bitching and complaining about those damn T-Mobile trolls. Are they delaying the NGN project? Hindering B26 deployment? No. No. No. Oh, I can't forget about that Fabian guy...let him be silly over there. Why mention him HERE????
To hell with Legere too! Just make sure my service runs great. Simple.

I see it from both sides and I still wonder why. I've had T-Mobile and Sprint. That would be easy if everyone did that. Take a look at Twitter lately? Most of the fire comes from the Magenta side. Don't take my word for it; take a look yourself.
I suspect Legere runs down Sprint publicly out of envy. He sees the spectrum runway getting short on his end, the massive data party on his carrier, the flood of customers coming in, and everyone partying and not seeing the storm approaching. Now he can't tell the Magenta crowd about the storm, though he can discipline his own for acting too unruly within the camp using too much data, which he has the right to do.
The truth is, deep down, that I suspect Legere wants to assimilate Sprint. He said he'd only take a pick up Sprint off the sidewalk. Yet ask the most rabid Magentans off guard if Sprint is on the sidewalk and they'll tell you so!
No doubt Sprint has issues, and most are of their own doing. That said, Legere could hold back and let Sprint shoot itself in the foot, but that isn't good enough for a lot on the Magenta sideline.
tl;dr Legere wants B41, nationwide B26, and Sprint customers.
Voice Text Data performance on your own respective network, should be the only thing users care about.

Seriously?
There was little vitriol until John Legere started publicly shitting on Sprint -- and T-Mobile trolls started occupying online comments/forums.
Bar none, T-Mobile ignited the fire. Prior to the current T-Mobile regime's juvenile antics, many Sprint users supported T-Mobile in its continued independent existence.
AJ
Ok, and why internalize that? Let the millionaire CEOs duke it out.
