  1. Many places that my S7 could not hold on weak B25 5mhz, is now holding on B25 10mhz and usable. Some improvements, seeing much less 3G past few weeks. Hopefully full steam B41 on all sites and small cells fill in.

Yesterday @ Gaslamp Downtown for lunch, Tmobile pushing 100mbps, VZ pushing 50Mbps, Sprint unusable 2CA on B41. We need small cells asap.

  2. I'm literally lol. Have been too busy with work recently to post, but I do lurk. You people leaving for Verizon are too funny. Verizon is still Verizon. Don't think for a second you won't be royally f*cked at some point soon. I love how Sprint service was sufficient and then somehow magically wasn't as soon as Verizon brought back unlimited data at what may be a very slightly lower price for some of us.

? Are too funny? Coverage for me is ok in San Diego with Sprint. Our usage would be cost prohibited using Verizon because our business account averaging 300GB a month for 20 lines. Now Verizon is offering unlimited for 20 lines and we will be paying $600 month, actually cheaper than Sprint with superior coverage in So-Cal...

  3. I'm in Golden Hill and apparently a B41 area, which is great because it's better than what I was getting w/ VZW. But working in Gaslamp definitely presents challenges. Lots of random slow data spots. Hoping for improvement ????????

Sprint is not too dense downtown. We will need small cells or new sites to get better indoor coverage. We can only hope CAPEX will flow through San Diego, much needed upgrades throughout the county.

  4. Any idea what's in the pipe for 2017 in SD? Are we still stuck with 2xCA or did we get included in the "100 market" 3xCA rollout?? Just switched from VZW due to cost & interested in the build.

Havent see 3XCA on B41 yet. Sprint been busy pushing 10x10 B25. No new sites or existing work going on since early last year. If your in an area with B41, consider it good as no new known B41 activities. Hopefully soon we will see some more work to get all sites with B41.

  5. I have decided to leave Sprint for my line of the ED1500 (4 lines) off my parents' for two reasons: Verizon has unlimited and Verizon is the only carrier that works where I physically found work after college. In rural GA (where I found employment), Verizon is the only carrier. AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have non-existent coverage. I will end up paying my ETF to go with Verizon, and handing off my Note 5 to my family for the 3rd line not under contract. For them, Sprint is amazing, and works perfectly, no issues. And even for me, it worked perfectly in NYC and decently in State College until I moved to GA.

My family's remaining ED1500 seems costly for 3 lines. I called Sprint (attempting to see options for cancelling and/or getting ETFs waived) and was offered to be switched to the 40 GB plan for $120/month, waived access fee and waived subsidy fee (for remaining phone subsidies) with unlimited 2G speeds afterwards. Obviously my line will still need to be switched off to Verizon due to lack of coverage. However, I can't imagine any scenario where the remaining lines will go over 40 GB and want to pull the trigger, as it will save us money until the contract expires.

Will my family lose anything by coming off ED1500 to the 40 GB plan? The rest of the family has 2/3 lines under "promotional" contract until December, 2017 and January, 2018. I am considering switching them over to the 40 GB plan to save money until the contracts expire, then move the lines over to the Verizon unlimited plan with me afterwards. The mathematics does work in my favor until the contract (and phone subsidies) expires.

FYI. Verizon covers EFT's if a personal account.  https://www.verizonwireless.com/promos/switch-and-save/

  6. I decided to make the switch to verizon. It was a hard decision because ive been with Sprint for years but this Verizon deal was to good to give up.

I may switch back to sprint in 2 years. Hopefully they lead the pack for 5G

I decided to make the switch to Verizon too for my personal account.  Been with Sprint/Nextel for over 10 years.  I am a shareholder, very hard decision. Sprint only deployed 10x10, 5x5 and swiss cheese B41 in San Diego. At home I get sub 1Mbps on Sprint 10x10, right now 6:30PM PST peak, I am pushing 80Mbps on Verizon.  It is day and night coverage on Verizon, as Verizon is king in San Diego and has huge customer base.

I hope Sprint one day will blanket B41 in San Diego, but not a single permit since early 2016.  In 2019 we will wait and see where Sprint is at with their 5G.  I am holding my shares, we will hope they will do very well with 5G and will likely be switching back.

  7. Vzw plans will not get you to 240 for seven lines. The maximum number of lines is five and five lines will run you 260.

Did you include autopay discount?  Its $100 for multi lines, +$20 each smartphone.  assuming 5 lines, it's $200.  Assuming we can do 7 lines it's $240.  My cousin is a Manager at Verizon, waiting for more tomorrow to confirm.

  8. I feel like we're all traitors lol. I'm sure Marcelo is looking at these comments like

But in all seriousness, I'm curious to see how Masa will respond. Sprint's network plans sound promising (on paper) this year but we all know how they are when it comes to execution.

I have been with Nextel now Sprint since 05. We have been loyal.  It is just not cutting it anymore for me in San Diego. I cannot speak for everyone, but $240 for 7 lines ($34) each is a no brainer for better coverage.  Note I did not say speed.  I am still rooting for Sprint to be better since I am a shareholder, but I have suffered long enough in So-Cal.

  9. Totally agree. Very bad in SD. Service at home is almost like it was during the days before LTE. Not only that, many other towns in North County took at big hit going down the drain service wise, and reported many times at these locations (Encinitas, Vista, Oceanside, parts of Carlsbad, and Escondido) via phone call, and Sprint Zone. All I get is techs will go out to look in the area, or they'll say nothing is wrong. It's not the same here. I finally got a $40 credit a couple days ago, after reporting bad service at home getting 1x service, after they found many issues happening in the area, and seen on record I've been calling about this since mid December.

If Sprint wants to be great in San Diego, they simply need to do it like Vegas. It's little too late, Verizon is the strongest in So-Cal IMO. They have LTE coverage everywhere. With Unlimited, I have no reason to stick it out with Sprint even though I am a shareholder.

I went hiking in Poway, the family was pulling 40+ Mbps on Verizon in the middle of the mountains.  Verizon is not too bad since they have many many small cells all over San Diego.  My workplace maybe 10Mbps tops on Verizon, but I can live with that as many places I go with Sprint, 3G indoor.  LTE is better than 3G IMO. My cousin is a manager at a Verizon store, I will have more clarity on the limitations tomorrow.

Just gather up to get 5-7 lines, it would be worth it.  We are switching our entire family with 7 lines to Verizon.  It comes out to be $34/line assuming we can get 7 lines on unlimited.  $120 first line, and $20 per additional line.

  10. Your missing my point. When Sprint is averaging 30mbs in NYC and Verizon at 25 you add the extra load of unlimited. It's tough to justify paying 2x so you could have signal a few times a year you travel outside the city.

Now if the value proposition is reasonable (it's not gonna be unless Verizon is ready to piss off all there current customers) then yes.

Also, the reason I mention thr new FCC chairman is I fully expect this "unlimited" plan to come with a huge ***

Which would most likely not have sit well with wheeler.

In NY probably, my clients in San Diego travel throughout the country.  I attempted to move many to Sprint, they ask "will it work when I want it to work"?  Hard question to answer... So yes, they will pay the premium.  It's maybe a tax write off for them anyways.

  11.  I think you may be missing my point.

The people that you know over six figures, what carrier do they use? I'm betting a large chunk of them (if you do know those people) are on Verizon.

All my clients use Verizon.  They simply say, "I'll pay for the premium as long it works when I want it to work".  I cannot say that of Sprint.  So yes, it's a true assessment, all my clients make 6 or 7 figures, none of them have Sprint.

All my friends and family all were on Nextel, they moved to Verizon.  Some are paying around $400/month for 6 lines and they don't care.  What they would always say "my phone will work when I want it to work".  No argument there in San Diego.  I personally have been holding out for Sprint to do better.  I would have left Sprint long ago if Verizon had brought back unlimited.  I guess that day has come.  Sprint in San Diego has been dead last on Root Metrics past several years.  Many would pay for the premium and I know plenty that does.

  13. Dang I wish the iPhone 8 was coming out soon so I can go ahead and switch. If it does come out in September then hopefully Sprint shows drastic improvement (densified network and VoLTE) otherwise I'm switching to Vzw.

I always wanted to switch but I never did because they didn't have unlimited.

San Diego market sux ass for Sprint.  I guess I will be moving too because Unlimited is back.

  14. Spam the living hell out of Sprint zone.

They do read the reports from it and plan accordingly.

Another thing you can do is trying contacting @Marci  who can direct you to the pertinent personnel.

Spam the living hell will simply take too long.  Contacting @Marci will get it resolved quickly.  If not, send me a PM, I can reach out to my contact.
