Found more. Covering an entire dead zone.
Seem like nearby B25 site not getting B41. The proximity is just too close to Mobilitie SD90XS129F small cell which is less than 100 feet.

Found another one. A known LTE dead zone area. Possible all that reporting on Sprint app caught their attention. Costco Market Street. I hope to catch the installer at this location.

Yeah, plus a 8T8R "maxed out" should provide a ton of throughput. 4x4MIMO + 256QAM on 4 Carriers is almost 1Gbps for just that single sector. It might even be way more cost effective to just add additional sectors to the site or toss up another 8T8R antenna. I'd expect 64T64R to be extremely rare, especially if it is really expensive.
64T64R is 5G capable. Sprint can smoke it's competitors asap by deploying this antenna. Will boost its 4G network and ready for 5G.
-
Does anyone know if the 64T64R is widely available and how much does it cost comparison to the 8T8R antenna? Wondering if Sprint can get 50% of its sites with the 64T64R equipment this year.

Anyone received the update?

I really love the look of these. Looks like Mobilite learned their lesson!
It looks like it only takes 3 months to get these small cells approved in San Diego. Usually, it is very difficult for the mobile carriers to do anything in San Diego.

Traditional backhauled small cells yay!

Maybe not traditional back hauled. https://opendsd.sandiego.gov/Web/Approvals/Details/2035656 says UE relay.

Looking at the Mobilitie applications, looks like many are only taking 3 months to get inspected/approved. Once approved it is live.

It's hard to believe a tad more than 5 years ago, Sprint didn't have any LTE in San Diego. Still more work to be done on Sprint's end but much better than at this time 5 years ago. I'm not mistaken, I think the other spot where LTE started in San Diego was in the South Bay. I found this on my Facebook memories popup today.
I remember LTE hunting looking for signals off the I-5 & CA-52. That was one of the original live LTE sites in San Diego. I was only a few months old on S4GRU!

Is this part of the 800 MHz plan that's coming to Southern California as part of the IBEZ rebranding?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYes sir, it's almost complete. Keep eye out on Sprint sites, we maybe start seeing them install new B26 equipment soon.

Was at Rady's Children's Hospital today. I've been with Sprint since 2009. I've been throughout a lot of growing pains with their network over the years but it's definitely been worth it. I will say though, I used to get consistent LTE in Carlsbad at Costco, but when I went to the food court which is located outdoors, it would constantly roam between 3G & roaming and it would be that way along I-5 all the way to Del Mar Heights. I wonder if Sprint is upgrading towers again?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYes Sprint still upgrading. We should be expecting B26 EOY, that should fill in all the 3G holes.

Yes, most Clear sites have the Nokia MM gear, but so do a lot of the Mobilitie sites. Since I don’t have SCP it’s hard to say what it’s picking up on.
I believe B25 is A block and G block in LA. Points to the south may be different.
And I have yet to see any B26. I seriously doubt it’s on air for the general public.
I only see B25 on C&G Block 10Mhz in San Diego. Waiting for it to be 15Mhz wideband. We used to have B25 5Mhz on A Block. When I was in LA, I noticed B25 is also 10Mhz?

Very. Relay fed small cells are single carrier only. Traditional backhaul fed sites are like finding a needle in a haystack so far.
^ actual first dual carrier small cell configuration confirmation right there.

If you look at the small cell post on October 25, 2017, it is dual carrier. I will go check them. Maybe they are all dual carrier.

Interesting PCIs. Typically small cells are in the 480+ range...
Also are the Nokia small cells running 2 carriers? Noticing the MM² and 39 GCI ending.

24 sites just went online yesterday for B26 LTE around Tucson and Sierra Vista.
In addition to the 3-4 sites that have been going up each week for 1x800 all over the place.
