It would be amazing if Sprint was able to finally fire up 256QAM+4x4MIMO on most Sprint B41 equipment and also some basic level of Massive MIMO in April.
I will assume software upgrades remotely?

Why is everyone else saying the S9 has better performance than the S8 then?

In my opinion I don't think so. Maybe they comparing it pre Oreo? If it is the Oreo build, the S8 has similar characteristics. It loves B41 too.

That's awesome. I think I'm going to hold out or wait til next year for a 5G device. There's barely any b41 in my city and 4x4 mimo, 256 qam is not a thing yet. I'm just waiting for 15mhz of b25 at this point.

Wait it out. I see no differences between the S8+ and S9+ in RF performance. All locations I hold on B41 on S8+ with same results on S9+. S8+ became great on Oreo for sure though.

I haven't gotten the update. I'm on beta too. Having an unlocked model taking forever to get the update.

The S8 with Oreo RF performs same as S9. No huge upgrades for me other than more CA options and 4x4 MIMO when available.

Is that non-contiguous B41CA I see!?!
Unlock model only has the top 3 on that list. Interesting.

I received my unlocked 9+ today from Samsung. They shipped me the wrong sim card. They offered $25 gift card for the hassle.

So far it seems like the S9+ keep a more stable signal on 2500MHz.
On the S8 Oreo beta, that is the case. The Oreo build made a difference. Even sitting in front of a B25 only site, it will switch over to any usable B41. Only down side with that, when on Calling Plus and with a weak B41, it would not switch over to other bands even when call quality going to crap.

Phone in hand, uninstalling all the bloat and updating apps etc so far I can notice a decent difference in performance compared to the 8+.
Yes MSL is still 000000, unfortunately the default priority list is B25, 26 and then 41 so I had to change that to what it's supposed to be 41, 25 and then 26... Sprint loves to mess this up every time with a new Samsung device. Other than the bloat I like it.
How is the RF?

Bought my unlocked Plus from Samsung, will be delivered tomorrow. They shipped 2 day air. Wish it was 1 day air.

Do they have any band 46 in central New Jersey?

Its LAA, saw a post on Reddit. Its pushing over 300Mbps. Not sure if LAA is nationwide or New Jersey.

They can deploy B46. They pushing 60mhz in NYC

Seems to me that T-Mobile’s fighting limits on two fronts:
600 MHz doesn’t have enough carrying capacity for real 5G.
mmWave also lacks sufficient propagation or justifiable economics to support deployments beyond hotspots.
T-Mobile is going to have to come up with another way forward... or Sprint will leave them in the dust.
Sprint needs to start leading. Customers will follow. Leaving Tmobile in the dust with speed is a good start. Many are skeptical of Sprint pulling it off.

So I’m guessing the mmwave will be in high populated areas like malls and arenas and the 600 will be deploying like they been doing but with some aggregation and whatever else?
It’ll be interesting to see what Sprints 5G is going to constructed like.

I hope they deploy it on all sites that make sense not like how they initially deployed B41 8T8R.

He has to be misinformed. B26 can NOT do 4x4 MIMO.
Note the 800 Mhz RRU #1 & #2 in the picture. That is setup for 4x4 MIMO.

4x4 + 2x2 + 2x2 + 2x2 + 2x2 w/ 256 qam on 20 mhz carriers rounds out to little over 1 gb.
That will be the day when everyone out there will see what Sprint can really push across most markets. I cannot wait to post them 500Mbps+ Speedtest to those showing off 200-300Mbps on VZ or TMobile. My S9+ will be locked and ready!

Has the specs to be a killer phone for Sprint!
Once 4x4 MIMO is live on B41 can we imagine 4x4 MIMO and 5CA B41? What will it be? I already reserved pre-order through Samsung directly, $150 trade in for my Note 5.

I'm surprised actually, those small cells don't look bad at all.
We are getting so many in San Diego. Probably fast track by Cox or Mobilitie figured it out.
