  1. How has tmobile been targeting sprint specifically? Seems they're just doing more of the same tactics while sprint I agree has been targeting att vz.

  3. How did att screw up cricket? They give you a free htc (lte) desire 610 or a free lumia lte 635 when you sign up. That's a damn good deal. Lte up to 8mbps and 3G up to 4mbps is very good considering att tops out at 8mbps already in some markets
  4. When within 2/4 range the network will use 2/4 since that's what has more bandwidth.
  5. The point is for when you move out of range of 2/4.

  7. Better question is would TMO add 700a alongside a GMO 1900 lte?
  8. To deploy 700a on GMO lte sites does the site have to go full build? Or can GMO 1900 lte site coexist with new 700a rrhs?
  9. Sure but lte footprint will still increase. It may be patchy but the worst it could get is unusable lte at which point you're equal to unusable edge gprs. So I don't see how it can be worse that what is there right now.
  10. One things for sure: GMO lte by definition cannot be worse that edge only. Just can't.
  11. My point is that it seems you're implying that TMO doesn't have enough $ to properly rip replace but now you're saying they do?
  12. They have 264mil lte and keeping CAPEX constant at $4-5ish billion. What else besides rural lte can they possibly spend it on?
  13. TMO is doing it in two waves: first GMO then when it's time for 700a do full build. Doing the antenna replacement is what takes longest right? So given the current 700a situation, this saves on labor.
  14. Non volte: iPhone 5s, 5c will never get a volte update though I'm not sure if mdm9615 supports it.
  15. Lte 1900 on the NEW base stations has same range as gsm 1900 on the OLD base stations. For non volte phones and non lte phones.
  16. On the same infrastructure, same frequency, Hspa 1900 will have greater range than lte 1900 And remember these are rural sites that have been 2g for ages so it's not likely lte 5x5 will get overwhelmed.
  17. They're choosing 10x10 lte vs 5x5 lte 5x5 Hspa in a lot of places.
  18. That doesn't explain why they can't do Hspa 1900 if they can add lte 1900.
  19. Lightsquared was not gonna do lte over satellite. They just had frequencies that were primarily used for satellite.
  20. For 700a they're gonna have to replace with rrh
  21. Darn. I was hoping it'd be worse to force them to do full upgrades.
