Anybody know if you can activate the different profiles and guest mode (functionality of Lollipop) with this update?

I don't think so. A couple other Lollipop features missing is pinning Windows and persistent search box during recent apps.

Do you have an android wear watch that does heart rate? I reflashed and so far all is well but my theory is that the Android Wear heart rate screwed up the sensor. My Moto360 has the Motorola app and the Google Fit app that can both read it, then it also mirrors apps, like Google fit on the device. I'm pretty sure the first time I did it on my watch, I then started seeing it on the phone? I'm not going to replicate to test but thought I'd ask you first.

No smart watch on my end. Never had one. But maybe it is somehow related to Google fit. That's one of the few things I did differently.

After update I was getting about 5 to 6 hrs battery. Not I'm getting 8 to 10 hrs.

You guys getting this heart rate light whenever you put your finger near it while the screen is on? Not when using S health or reading heart rate. Just happens all the time.

 

 

So annoying. I've factory reset, wiped caches, still happens.

It happened to me up until this morning. Not sure why it stopped. I found that taking your pulse once actually stops it for an hour or so. But now it's completely stopped.

 

In other news my battery seems alot better after uninstalling dash Clock and Google fit.

 

 

This morning is muuuuuuch better. Very snappy and responsive. No major complaints except how the Nova actions for notification shade don't work anymore (ie, swipe down anywhere to bring down notifications). In fact, I'm definitely not used to the notifications yet, rather intrusive to what one's doing. And chrome tabs being in the recents (I know I can change it) is a departure in behavior for me as well.

 

Oh, I'm sure you guys figured it out by now but if you're having the Play Services message, just go into app manager and "uninstall updates" then reboot.

Yeah i use the same swipe down gesture in Nova. That doesn't work. But I use a swipe up to show recent apps. And that still works.

 

Is there anyway to disable the intrusive notifications? I only get them for certain apps like what's app and messaging. And it's kinda annoying. I wish we could dismiss them and keep them still in the notifications area. I've mistakenly dismissed them. While doing something else and forget what it's for later.

 

The play services error went away for me after 2 or 3 restarts.

I don't like the colors of lollipop. Seems like it's made for a teen age girl. The battery life is awful,just when I thought my S5 couldn't have a worse battery life...

Yeah I would wait a couple of days. All my juice is being used by android stuff so I'm guessing in a couple days it'll stabilize.

 

Does the official A06 have the wifi calling icon on the notification bar? 4.4.4 never had that iirc

If you've used art before maybe you won't notice the speed bump. But I can notice it. I think. I thought I would hate the light theme of lollipop. But it's not bad. But might be disadvantageous to battery life.

Anybody else keep getting a Google Play Services error after the update? I can read the rest of the message.

Yeah it went away after a couple restarts.

After about an hour of use the lag has calmed down. It's pretty nice. Fb works fine. Smart lock is cool. Has to be enabled from Security first. Like it so far.

Any first impressions guys? Downloading...

Damn 900 mbs! I have to clear some space.

Yeah their Nexus customer support is really good. It's supposedly 24/7 too. The one time I needed support (NFC chip was broken in my Nexus 6), I pressed the "call me" button in their support app and I received a call from a representative within seconds. Very knowledgeable, clearly not reading from a script or anything.

Yeah 24.7 cause they also serve the UK and aussie markets. Or at least used to.

Yeah they do, for their hardware/nexus and other things. And they are located in the US. Places like Michigan Utah and Florida. And cali. So yeah they do speak English. Call em up sometime.
