If 4G LTE is still turned on at about 12:30am tonight, you can expect a full SW SF Valley report by 2am. I will 'Sensorly' as many major streets as I can and try to get a perimeter.

yeah its too much,we can say that now 3G is barely usable.
Agreed - Ditto.

visit your phone's forum on xda-developers.com. If there is an issue, you'll find it there.
Yeah have done.. I'm a loner in this issue (hence I'm hopeful a new phone will remedy my rare issue that prevented me from doing anything pretty much involving phone calls, sms, mail, etc with Google contacts involved...). Anyway, as far as 4G LTE, Im not sure how legit the Dec 21 is.. but we'll see. Anyone getting better speeds yet in SFV?

I am finally getting a replacement phone under warranty (after 13 hard resets and having gone to 7 different stores in Los Angeles..) wow! They are honouring the insurance and ordering me a new one for the Google contact pull issue (now.. if this one has it too, I'll know its a software issue in these phones).
Anyway, I talked to the rep while they ordered me a new phone and they said a release date of December 21st is what theyve been told my HDQS. I was like.. really?? And 2 reps agreed. So we'll see. Christmas gift....??

I had a similar story about calling tech for another reason.. (even posted the story on S4GRU) and if they had been true, we would have seen 4G already.. A couple times in fact. But it's nice to hope.. I would know.

Dude that is so unfair! If you're best friend and golf buddy lived there you wouldn't care what neighborhood it was? I mean it's not like their purposely trying to cover your best friends daycare, wife's job, office, and commute route as that is just coincidence! I mean just because Dan Hesse's mother-in-law lives in Northern Jersey isn't the reason they aren't getting network vision updates till almost 2014! Stop trying to give everything a meaning!
LOL!
AMEN! Couldn't agree more. And I am not in the upper OR middle class financial bracket. Thanks! Now let's get on topic....
Thank you!

Ok will do. So no more speed tests until LTE?

No I'm not 'irate'. I just have a passion to expose corruption in companies rather than being one of the masses who just says 'that's how it is nowadays'. Let's get back on topic, which is not the mood that I have when posting something.
Thank you.

Trying to show others, namely anyone with Sprint who denies speed tests like these exist.. They keep telling me that it's impossible to have data speeds this bad in LA. This is proof that I do.

I'm waiting for some sort of update. I've had two EVO 4G LTE's and both freeze when loading the camera half the time, SMS and people app hangs for 30+ seconds on initial load, and Sense home does the 'Loading' thing every time I hit home. I have found many people with similar issues (except for the initial contact load). Hoping an update will fix it since the most recent ring tone patch didn't.

Western Calabasas area..
And extreme eastern Calabasas.. (my neighbourhood)
(ps WiFi was NOT on when I took the speedtest, but I had to TURN it on to upload to TapaTalk or use my phone at all....)

They told you to remove the battery on the EVO LTE?
Yeah.. but that was a canned response. They obviously werent really there....

Does anyone else have this problem on their HTC EVO 4G LTE? Hit HOME and....

Yeah, every Sprint rep either lies to get you off their back or tells you 'you were silly to go with Sprint.. I don't even have that company even though I work for them'.
But we're all still resting on a hope and belief they'll pull through for us aren't we? That's why we're still here!
Maybe next week, eh?

It's good to know I'm not the only one having unusable data speeds.

From Santa Clarita Valley. I keep jumping back and forth between Ehrpd and EvDo depending on the day.
Do you have Sensorly? This helps to determine 3G signal strength and maps it for the rest of us too.

Locations
San Fernando Valley speeds are varying daily. One day they might top out at about 1mbps download, the next they can be all but dead with anywhere from no 3G at all to about 0.05mbps.
Santa Monica, CA speeds are on average 0.10 - 0.30mbps download speeds.
Rice Ave in Oxnard is ringing in at:
235ms - 0.16Mbps Down & 0.65Mbps Up

Is this normal during NV 'upgrades'?! Is my area even still being upgraded?
And then right after, I got this:
I just got the best speed test I have ever received in Calabasas at my house! Just a few minutes ago (previous post above) I got the worst ever. Fingers crossed.. Maybe some work is being done??
...please upload speeds in your areas!

Thanks for adding the screenshot for me
I appreciate it.
Ok I'm confused.. How do you add a picture (without trying to juggle between the KBs of image space given on the forum. I tried Flickr (not allowed), ImageShack (not allowed).. Anything allowed????

Alright! At first I didn't get any 4G in the SFV when I got there tonight.. then suddenly on Ventura Blvd near Tampa going west, I got it.. and strong! I got a 26.30 Down speed test! I went up south on Tampa from Ventura Blvd then back down and over to Winnetka, took the freeway to Canoga, went north on Canoga to Erwin and then to Topanga and south all the way home. The 4G died a short while after crossing Ventura Blvd. on Topanga Canyon Blvd. It is very spotty and unpredictable and I had to do multiple PRL updates for it to 're-find' 4G while I was stationary in several places when it dropped it. But folks, this is a testing phase... LA hasn't even been officially launched by Sprint (even an official date hasn't been given by the 'pin drop' company.. remember that commercial?). So let's be thankful for a light at the end of this tunnel!
I love the speeds.. Needs coverage now.. which I have no doubt, we'll see soon. Maybe next issue: phone being able to stay connected to 4G??. Haha
