How long will this take to implement? It would be great if it could start rolling by the summer travel season but I imagine it will be 2015 before we see anything??? -
I was hopeing for Republic-esque solution. Still a nice feature.

I assume the call drops if you initiate the call in your home and drive off in your car?

If she signs up tomorrow is it still valid. Or does she have to sign up today?
-
Will you let us know if wifi calling works? When are you going on vacation? I have a feeling it will work within any CDMA area regardless of carrier.

I didn't think you could get the $100 port in credit with the ETF payoff. I thought the $100 port in credit was being replaced by ETF payout and device trade in?

Thanks guys. Yea, i don't think they can tell if it's postpaid or prepaid. If you do a reverse phone number search on white pages dot com on a Page Plus number it shows Verizon, Republic Wireless shows Sprint, etc.

In have a friend who wants to join my Framily. She will receive a port in credit of $200 but that offer ends Wednesday. Her contract is over in a few months. She wants the $200 so we thought we'd get a cheap prepaid number and port in and then in a few months when her contract is over she can port in her real number.

Question. If I port in a number from another wireless carrier and have service for a month or two, can I them 2 months down the road port in another number from a wireless carrier and delete the first ported in number?

I wish they'd add it to the the S4. The Note and Mega are too big! And the S4 Mini is too small. My wife has the S3 with Verizon and I want to switch her to Sprint. I'd like something for her that is around the S3/S4 size. She needs wifi calling because she works in a hospital.

It's been two months since it was announced and crickets......and one of the two devices is eol'd. Come on Sprint. Let's go!!

Any new phones having wifi calling added soon?
-
Very true Anthony. I believe there is only one tower on the north side of the lake near that condo thewezgreys is talking about. Although I don't think Carolina West Wireless has service in Rutherford County???? I know the cellular A and B licenses are held by Verizon and USCC. CWW does have some PCS in the Hickory area. Maybe they own PCS near Lake Lure but I don't think they do.
-
I did a few mock calls and the error message was US Cell. Plus Sprint has no native towers there. I was at the Lake Lure Inn.
-
So I went to Lake Lure, NC last night. This area is covered by USCC and Verizon. My phone would show "extended" 1x while on Verizon and "Sprint" 1x while on USCC. Is this normal?

Sprint really needs to look at T-Mobile and AT&T. Prepaid devices and postpaid devices should be interchangeable.
-
Any idea if wifi calling will be coming to any other devices soon?

So Sprint announced that wifi calling would be available on the Galaxy S4 Mini and the Mega on February 21. I have looked high and low for a S4 Mini around my city and they are all sold out. Then, the store manager I am working with tells me the phone will be discontinued this Friday! How does that make sense? Why would they announce wifi calling for it and d/c it less then a month later???

Weird, because AT&T, Verizon and Tmobile all have LTE broadcasting from the same tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anybody here familiar with any tower updates in South Charlotte. Our tower is still 3G and my friends phone switches between 3G and LTE constantly. I don't understand why they have ignored our tower for a LTE update. We are in the densely settled and mostly affluent Ballantyne area. (I am not affluent haha). The tower is behind a Harris Teeter at the intersection of Johnston Road and Lancaster Highway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
