Headed to forest park for the parade and fair today. Hopefully sprint fairs well. (no pun intended) Sprint maps show it as a turbo area. We'll see just how accurate that is. I think they've grossly overestimated the turbo zones with what is deployed right now.

That's something else. I've been using it for days with no noticeable difference in battery life. Battery life was noticeably improved when I was testing it. I got 3 hours of screen on time from 100-20%, and another hour with battery saver on after that.

I find it funny that one of their main points is the public safety issue and being unable to dial 911. I don't think they know that when you dial 911 without service, other providers have to pick up that call.

I don't think L was at fault in this case. Probably a result of me forgetting to wipe some stuff when I flashed a test build for PA

Well everything is back to normal now. Did some wiping and 1x is now functioning great. Thanks for your help everyone.

I was on the L preview but I reverted back to PA (I dev for PA). Left the L radio in place because I wasn't having issues. I'm now on the 4.4.4 radio. No backup unfortunately. It was accidentially wiped because I forgot to remove the -w flag when flashing the L factory image. I'm hesitant to get a replacement because I have recovered from this issue in the past.

I was having issues no matter the location. I know it's not the tower because my mom has a Nexus 5 as well with no issues.

Yup I flashed back to the stock radio from the L preview radio as my first test. Profile and PRL updated several times.

800 is live and has been for a while without issue.

I'm using the preferred network mode to switch modes. Making a phone call yields the mobile network not available message. Making a call from LTE times out and it never drops to 1x.

Once 1x is broken it doesn't work until I reboot in 1x only mode. Rebooting in 3g will not fix anything and it'll come up connected to eHRDP and says "searching for service"

Both. Random now it looks like it's fixed. I just rebooted in 3G mode and it came up fine. This is the second time this issue has occurred so I'm curious as to why this happens. EDIT: Nevermind, rebooting in LTE mode breaks it again. My 1x engineering screen while this is happening.

Has anyone had an issue with the phone refusing to connect to 1x? Mine is stuck connecting to eHRDP only and looks like it's in a 1x scan loop. I can force it to 1x by setting 1x only and rebooting, but rebooting on 3g or LTE breaks 1x. I've tried a network reset and several profile/PRL updates but nothing has worked. I don't have an airave either. This just suddenly started happening for no reason and I'm stumped.

Could be bouncing between two towers on 26. Do any of the numbers match band 25?

Check the PCI when connected to 25 and then when connected to 26. If they are the same, 26/25 are likely coming from the same tower. If they are coming from the same tower and band 26 is weaker than 25 then band 26 is not optimized yet.

My house has fringe LTE and I notice the same no data issue occasionally. Not really a big deal because I have Wifi for home data.

Mime ghost glass. Hands down best screen protector I've ever owned. There is a huge difference between tempered glass and the plastic film type. A good tempered glass protector (like the ghost glass) will be hardly noticeable as it feels just like the original glass. It is also more resistant to scratches than a plastic film. Clarity is also great and it won't fade/decay as fast.

1x is displayed as 3g on stock ROMs. Some ROMs (PA for example) have reverted the change that makes 1x display as 3g.

That's unrelated to phone software. It's a network side issue.

I haven't had any issues here. I assume you tried a profile/PRL update? EDIT: Also try typing *#*#72786#*#* in the dialer. It will reset the network settings and re-provision the phone

Band 26 theoretical is the same aa band 25. Both are 5x5. As far as eCSFB goes, it's whenever it gets done. Usually 7-14 days after 26 goes live.

Nothing we can do. It's a preview for a reason, expect major breakage.
