  1. I can't say with 100% certainty which band(s) I was picking up. However, I can tell you that I have 2 lg g2 phones (personal and business), plus an ipad. I forced one g2 into LTE and left the other in its normal state. My ipad and normal state g2 never picked up LTE. I toggled airplane mode on the ipad several times as well. So that, along with some of the speeds reaching over 40 mbps several times, I'd guess mostly band 41. Also take into account the speed tests were Sensorly which aren't the most accurate. It'll probably be obvious when there is no longer a need to force LTE.
  2. Yeah, that was me on my way to work yesterday. For the past few weeks I've put my phone in LTE mode whenever I head out just to see what happens. I leave all three bands on with their default priorities. Until yesterday, there was no signal and I make the trip daily. Then all of the sudden I had service from 6th ave down Santa Fe. Was running speed tests while stuck in the daily traffic jam. Also, Sheridan from I-70 north to 88th yesterday and today, I got some decent results as well.
  3. Actually, another question; What will my triband phone show in an LTE coverage area if CSFB is functioning?
  4. I'm sure it's been asked 1000 times, but is there a way to tell if a site has the CSFB back haul? Like an 800 site, etc.? Just looking for a possible pattern. Please keep answers leaning more toward a lay man answer... I work in medicine, not so much technology. Thanks!
  5. I got the update several days ago. it's been recharged multiple times. also it freezes and my keyboard doesn't show some of the time when going to text or write something on the internet. I checked the phones battery usage, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary.
  6. has anybody been having battery drainage issues after the update? I'm wondering if it's because lte hasn't been o officially launched here in Denver. I keep losing my signal and dropping calls as well, which before the update it never happened.
  7. Ahh, well then thank you sir! And thank you for making sense of all this.
  8. Of course it makes sense. I hope I didn't come across as somebody only wanting to complain. Dang that Merlin. Ever since he posted a date, I've turned into a kid on Christmas eve. My girlfriend is about to strangle me. I'd rather Sprint take their time to get it right. Honestly, I'm so excited about all of this because as soon as it's running I'm firing Comcast!
  9. That was kinda the point. Did you ever want something so bad for your birthday, but your parents kept saying it wasn't going to happen? Maybe they said something around the lines of "sorry, we really knew you wanted that this year buddy but we just can't afford it" Then Bam! Merlin finally gets that easy bake oven. Of course it's probably not going to happen. I wouldn't buy a Powerball ticket and quit my job before the drawing. But it's always fun to talk about possibilities. Just messing with you Merlin! I'll put some foil hat picks up later tonight when I get home.
  10. Soooo... I've been looking at stuff in some sponsor forum topics (not telling what, donate and go see), band 41 sightings around the city, the LG G2 OTA triband update (most likely unrelated, but coincidental), knowing WiMAX had been installed throughout Denver, and Merlin's popping up to tease us with that big juicy 30 day steak, it would be a crime to not speculate. Denver's a large metro area largely ignored by Sprint. which may have been intentional. A large number of customers are upset because they can't get a straight answer. They're all over Sprint boards, it's no secret. Somebody even created a twitter account for these angry customers and they've been relentless trying to expose something. Some questionable business tactics in my opinion. My speculation? Denver won't have only LTE in 30 days, they're going to straight light up spark. They've been taking their time with it, making sure to work out the bugs and if it kicks butt, Denver will be Sprints example of what spark is capable of doing. Thoughts, or should I just go make an aluminum hat now?
  11. Well Robert, the Jaguars played their best, but Seattle is just a better team. We'll get back on it next year... Alright, anybody getting any new signals around town? Trying to get my mind off that game. Anyone want to chime in on the direction the cluster acceptance takes place? Sigh... An LTE rollout would make tonight much better.
  12. Haha! Hey, we're all awaiting the roll out which is happening very soon. Once those wheels start turning this board will blow up with nothing but on topic discussions. Just thought that during this calm before the storm, it might help pass the time by having some fun (out of pure respect, of course) at the expense of the man working his rear off to make this all possible for us salivating pack of wolves... Sorry about Jacksonville buddy, they're horrible. Go Broncos!
  13. New rumor thread. Who is Roberts favorite football team? I read on some message board it's actually Jacksonville!
  14. Just having some fun while waiting for some new info to pop up. Nice retort!
  15. So I'm having a pretty uneventful night and have been googling LTE Denver trying to find anything new and I came across a post on the sprint message boards from a few days ago. Disregarding all the whining and complaining, the second to last post is a sprint rep telling a poster that a tower next to his house around 1st and Quebec is scheduled for upgrades within 90 days. I'm a little confused because every sprint tower I've seen around here has been upgraded. I haven't looked at this site in particular, but are there still towers around here that haven't been upgraded with the NV equipment? Or was this a way of the rep telling the dissatisfied customer that the LTE launch will happen within 90 days? I hope it's the former. I've been getting psyched watching the sensorly map grow and Merlin's pumping us all up! Any info would be great. Here's the link: https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/144154
  16. Hey all! So I just went to Safeway off 38th and Sheridan and had an LTE signal for about three seconds. Not ideal, but hopeful for sure. There is a tower right there in the lot containing the new equipment. I am still a noob here, so try not to be too harsh on my question; once an LTE signal pops up near a tower, has there been a noticed pattern in regard to a timeframe for it to go live, or is it more a shot in the dark depending on when they can accept the site?
