  1. @mikejeep I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but on my Pixel 5 SignalCheck Pro would not be running when I check my phone in the morning. It happen multiple times until I changed the setting for battery optimization to "Not optimized" for the app. And that was about 7 days ago.

I have had the Pixel 5 for 17 days now and I had the Pixel 2 before.
And I looked at the Pixel 2 settings and it has battery optimization set to "Optimizing battery use" for the app.

How the RF performance on the Pixel 5? I’m hearing reports that it’s not as good as the 4...Comments?

I got the Pixel 5 using the eSIM on Sprint and at home it is on the Sprint network with about the same signal as I had on the Pixel 2. The Pixel 5 does stay on B26 more then the P2 did.

The P5 will go to T-Mobile and stay on it when I get about 3 miles from the house, I have a Sprint tower about 2 miles to the NE of me. The only other cell network that works at home is AT&T. Verizon is low signal and T-Mobile is 0 signal.

This is in NE Texas area I am NNW of 75455.

  3. Does it support QC input charging via the Type C though?

This to me is the absolute key factor - it can take a very long time to charge a larger bank with normal charging speed vs. QC charging.  My Choetech supports incoming QC charging, but still forces you to use a micro cable to do it.  I want something I only ever have to use/bring one cable for if/when traveling.

You are not going to find one that has QC1/2/3 on the USB C as QC is not supported on USB C only USB-PD. If an device does QC on USB C it is not USB-IF certified.

  4. Hi all.

... So now I need some advice on how to get it whitelisted. The lowest-tier chat rep just told me it was incompatible after I gave her the IMEI. Where do I proceed from here? I remember reading a few success stories from people who got T-Mobile-purchased models whitelisted.

My Nexus 5X did the same. So I am using my old Nexus 5 until the replacement refurbish 5X gets the IMEI added.

When you call try to get somebody in tech support.

  5. My Nexus 5X stopped working on the 13th too a day after an vacation. I had Google to call me in order to get the phone replaced and can't activate it because it is not in Sprint's database.

This is what I sent to Google on the "Get a call from a Google Support Specialist" page:

"I was using the phone and the display just went off. The PC detects the Nexus 5X as a unknown device or "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" now. I tried to adb sideload android but it keeps turning off and shows up as QDLoader 9008."

The replacement refurbished Nexus 5X had Android 6.0.1 with the February security patch.

  6. I woke up this morning with a notification in the app drawer (with a white triangle) that said "Network Upgrade (may have said update) Complete"

Anyone else get it? Dont really know what changed. Was this just a network initiated profile update?

I got it also at 4:59 am CST. It was a profile update my PRL is still 55030 it has not updated yet. I am waiting for the PRL to update it self (if it does).

  7. This is just a test app I made to show that all LTE info is still available during the 1X/LTE. If you are curious if your phone shows 1X and LTE info you can test it with this app. That is all it is good for.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwjoW3wFn2LreWV1cVN1Zl92RDg/view?usp=docslist_api

It is based on lordsutch's SignalDetector app.

I am not responsible for any damage caused by the app.

  8. I know the problem exists and I'm working on it whenever I can -- literally dozens of hours each week. I've gotten a lot of PMs and e-mails from many of you; it's not unique to you, but it's not being experienced by every device. I'll get back to your messages one of these days, but I'm trying to spend my free time solving the issue instead of replying to 300 unread messages.. ;)

Mike if you can look at the PM I sent to you it may help with the 1X/LTE issue.

  9. In fact, I am fairly certain that your 5X (like nearly all Sprint-supported LTE devices released over the past couple of years) is incapable of maintaining simultaneous 1X and LTE connections. There are many theories as to why some newer devices are showing these connections, but it's generally believed to be an Android glitch. There have been discussions in this thread and others.

    -Mike

As for the 1X and LTE I think it is doing something similar to the iPhone as in it keeps a 1X connection for some time than it goes to just LTE. Some times my phone goes from 3G to LTE with out the simultaneous 1X/LTE.

The issue that I and others have is that Site Notes and Neighbor cells don't work on your app but Neighbor cells does on CellMapper during the simultaneous 1X/LTE.

Mike I will help you if I can. I did send you a diagnostic report with 1X/LTE and with just LTE showing.

Sorry to keep bothering you about the 1X/LTE issue.

  10. Mike, I have a 1X/LTE issue of not updating the GCI, PCI and TAC that could be because of an IF/CASE with CDMA.
I have notice on my Nexus 5X that if the phone shows 1X and LTE SCP does not show valid PCI and TAC it also does not show the GCI but Phone info and CellMapper app does show valid info.

If you can get SCP to show all LTE info with 1X the Neighbor cell and Site Notes may work.

Edit: On your To-Do List the "Android 5+: Some devices are showing “extra” connections that are not valid, i.e. simultaneous 1X/GSM and LTE connections." my Nexus 5X does show valid 1X and LTE info. It is just the issue of invalid/not updating PCI and TAC.
