How far are you away from that tower?
The coordinates provided only showed the tower 1-2 miles southwest when I took the screenshot. I was scratching my head wondering why it was so weak from that distance but I didn't know if the coordinates were skewed or maybe the antennas were not facing my direction.
-
Were you able to call out from it?
When the signal was -105 it didn't. It just timed out, but when it got around -103 and lower, I was able to test by calling my Voicemail.

Went to the town center last night and in the Microsoft store they have Nokia Windows phones on display with AT&T Sim cards in them. I did a speed test on my HTC one and on the Nokia.
Sprint was 9.47 Mbps down
AT&T was 4.07 Mbps down
And the Nokia had full bars of LTE, I had like 2
I was very impressed!

How is Everbank field and the Prime Osborne Center? I haven't had the chance to test them out yet. LTE is strong as death at the Town Center, though, which is awesome. I couldn't get it to lose the LTE signal even deep inside REI, Best Buy, Petsmart, Ashley and Ted's. I just had that weird issue twice now where it won't switch back to CDMA to make/accept calls and texts.
I went to the Jags Game last Sunday and speeds were ok 2.5 down/ 1 up. Definitely usable

The 3G is unbearably slow on that Bank of America building just north of the Avenues. I'm starting to think 4G will turn on at any moment.

I know it was so bad when I was there last week.

The OP Mall needed that upgrade bad. I'm glad to see the congested areas in JAX get upgraded.
Town Center - Check
Orange Park Mall - Check
Avenues Mall - Still pending

Wells and Blanding tower in OP is now broadcasting LTE 1900

This is over off 103RD.
What phone do you have?
From the looks of the speedtests it seems like Band 41 is getting more and more prevalent in JAX. I thought Sprint was still holding out on sending the Tri-Band update for some phones .....

Near Regency.

Man, Sprint LTE and 3G was totally unusable at The Avenues Mall today. Completely useless. It was packed, don't get me wrong, but I should have had a little something. I couldn't even check my email and all iMessages failed and were sent as texts. It was pathetic. 1x was dead as well.
I was there today too and I agree it was BAD. So bad, roaming was the only time I had useable data.

So far I am exactly 5.2 miles away from this legendary water tower and there is no 800 cdma or 800 lte. I have confirmed that my phone has been scanning for both with no dice. Im going to get closer after my appointment and try again. I roamed on metro with no 800 cdma to save me even though i am 5 miles away. Im starting to think 800 lte will come in clusters meaning houston has the best chance right now
I was afraid you would say that.....
-
lol going at 1-2pm to investigate. But it has been accepted with 800 lte
If you do get 800 1X or LTE I would like to know the -dBm difference from right outside a building to when you step inside. In building penetration improvement is what I am most excited to see.
Happy 800mhz hunting!

Tower on Wells road is getting NV work today.
The one at wells and blanding near the OP mall? Or the one off wells road in the industrial park?
-
Yeah Fleming Island is still very spotty even with 3G.
I have been getting better 3G speeds, but I can test that one by taco bell today foe you.
I can tell you there is solid LTE all around blanding and College (taco bell included). The site is live and kickin!
-
Does this include NV or just LTE? I noticed full bars and 1mbps+ download speeds over 3G on college the other week during a late night taco bell run with some friends. I live in Fleming however and the reception in Eagle Harbor is still terrible
The site just went live on the 11th with LTE. You should become a sponsor and then you can see the status of all the towers in and around Fleming. The interactive maps are great!
-
Two more towers confirmed live in OP, the one at college and banding the other at banding and constitution.
-
Saw a site being worked on in Orange park. Behind the Walgreen on Blanding past the BJ's.
Yeah, I see the new antennas are installed now.

Just went into a sprint store yesterday and compared the One with my EVO ....I am VERY VERY Disappointed!
The sprint store is right on the edge of a 4G tower...perfect for testing the RF signal. When I walked in the One was connected to 4G without issue, EVO as well. Tried going to the network screen on the one but for some reason it was greyed out and could not access. So I downloaded sensorly so I could see the RSRP values.
Just holding the 2 phones together for a picture and the HTC One drops LTE.
-
I'm seeing this as well on mine. When I had my EVO activated sitting on my couch, it would sit between -100 and -103. With my One, it will hang around -104 -105, then go to about -97 for a little bit then back up.

So what your saying is..... based off RSRP values the One gets worse LTE reception than the EVO?
-
I'll be testing my One, an EVO LTE and a GS3 side by side this weekend.
I do notice fluctuations in RSRP going up and down. Not sure if that's attributed to the dual antenna system switching back and forth or what.
My One is hardware version 0004 for what it's worth.

You Rock!
Take pics of the results if you can
-
Well we have good reports and bad reports.. Hmm...
Sent from my little Note2
Yeah.... Can anybody show us the RSRP (dBm) values of the one compared to a GS3, EVO and Note w2? I desperately need to know!
-
not sure. guessing just pcs.
I compared EVO to one and LTE signal is about the same.
Say it ain't so!
Now what phone am I going to get? I swore to myself I wouldn't buy another phone with the same problem as the EVO......very very disappointed.

I noticed the same thing too on my ride into work this morning.
