  1. <snip>

FYI, and hopefully this will be the end of it, what I'm on does not interfere in my posting, and I'm just one in millions of pain patients perfectly cable of being on a forum. I'm also sorry to hear you weren't treated for pain exactly as you may have wanted, JohnathanM, but what matters now is that you are doing well with whatever it is, and if you've managed without it, that is great. I don't wish any ill will on anyone here, and I am not the vicious poster it seems some try to make me sound as.

    <snip>

Nobody thinks you're vicious, you just can't make a point in a reasonable amount of words, or stay on topic. I like reading some of your ideas, but I have to say I groan when I see your name because I have to wonder if I'm going to spend 10 seconds or 5 minutes reading. Most of the time I scroll past, and I'm sure miss out on good content.

  2. I'm not a businessman. I'm an engineer. And my engineer mind says that instead of a merger Softbank could buy a large stake in T-Mobile and the two companies (Sprint and T-Mobile) enter into a spectrum and tower sharing deal. Both companies benefit from expanded spectrum and tower availability, and both companies remain responsible for their own debts and operations. Most Sprint phones already support T-Mobile's bands, and unlocked phones that support all of both companies' bands already exist.

Sprint and T-Mobile are both strong in my area. I switched to T-Mobile a while back for the 2 for $100 + 3rd line free and then 20% off from the hookup code, but I'm still a Sprint fanboy.

  3.

S8 for a lot of everything which sadly includes the worst placed fingerprint sensor ever. And you have decided if you like the shiny, glass edges.

I actually played with one in Best Buy yesterday, and it's a pretty easy reach. I didn't accidentally hit the camera or anything. I even found my finger resting very near the scanner when I wasn't trying to reach it.

  4. We were able to get on the T-Mobile hookup code 20% discount which feels a lot like bring back on Sero but with TMobile. 3 lines of unlimited data for $80 is a smoking deal.

I just did the same. My wife and MIL on the Nexus 6Ps they already had, and I got a ZTE Zmax Pro because they didn't have any phones I wanted but I still wanted them to pay off my HTC 10 with Sprint.

  5. What I want is a number of small devices that can all be hooked up via Ethernet to distribute my wifi throughout my house. My house is wired in nearly every room. Currently I have 2 SSIDs, one that works better upstairs and one that works better downstairs.

I thought Google WiFi would be right, but apparently you can't hook all of the pucks up on the same switch. You can if you put the main device before the switch and then put the rest of them on the switch (I think), but their documentation is actually too dumbed down for me to understand.

  6. They stopped listing the 10 at Sprint.com.

Rumor has it the 10 will be $200 off for Black Friday, starting on Monday - my mom is on the lookout for a new phone.  I told her she should get the 10 and not the Bolt - just my opinion, but the 10 seems more powerful.  I love mine, and so does my aunt!  Also tried to tell her there will be more accessories for the 10 ... for years I had Sprint-exclusive HTCs and got tired of the lack of cases.  Even though you still can't find any 10 cases in any store, there are plenty online.

Where did you see this rumor? I'm about 3 minutes from buying a 10, but I'll wait if this is true.

  7. Quote from Gilat..

"Gilat addressed these challenges through cost effective embedded acceleration in the SkyEdge II-c hubs and terminals, which overcame the satellite latency issues to support the high speed requirements of 3G/LTE networks. The Capricorn-4 and Capricorn Pro VSATs, which support TDM/TDMA at 200Mbps, were designed explicitly to meet the 3G/LTE performance requirements."

Unless they've got the satellites lower in the sky, I'm not sure how they're getting around the speed of light limitation.

  8. It may not seem as much, but T-Mobile users have access to Telcel, which has better coverage in rural areas. When I visited some smaller towns in Mexico, my phone was useless while T-Mobile users could still roam on Telcel. Also, T-Mobile users have access to LTE from Telcel while Sprint can only access Movistar's HSPA network.

So TMUS has better rural LTE coverage in a company they don't sell service in than they do at home?

  9. Absolutely! What Marcelo needs to do is to make a deal like no one has ever seen before. It'll be this yuuuuuuggge deal where he's going to get U.S. Cellular to meeerrrggge into Sprint and I tell you it's going to be so great. Sprint's got so much more spectrum than ANYbody its like no comparison there. But that's not all. The new Sprint is going to be so amazing, I tell you. Not only is Marcelo going to get U.S. Cellular, but he's going bring jobs back to Sprint there will be so much business going back to Sprint and all the other carriers are going to be so envious that Sprint will need to build a wall around its corporate headquarters, but I tell you Marcelo is going to do it, and he's going to get John Legere to personally pay for it.

Althoughhh, Sprint might decide to make a deal with T-Mobile, I don't know, but I'm sure if it did, it would be great, really great. Marcelo and John are friends, really great friends. And you know that whatever deal they may make, it'll be great. But whatever happens, Sprint will be great again!

This is definitely your best post ever.
