Just took a look at Sensorly. You did a great job mapping the whole area. Glad to see an awesome cabbie on the job. ????I took some guys to Pearl Harbor in my cab last night and drove around by the airport a little bit on the way back to Waikiki. I drove up and down Lagoon Dr. and the other parallel streets to map the area with Sensorly. I have an S4 and I had no problem at all getting the LTE signal.

network.sprint.com says 2 speed upgrades at the airport.
It looks as though the airport tower is now mapped on Sensorly as well. So four towers are up. Hopefully this continues at this pace.

Had 4G during my lunchtime stroll through Kailua. Maybe someone tripped over a cord.

Guess the test ended. Haven't gotten a LTE signal since yesterday.

I can't believe it!
Wow just wow!
AURITE!
finally some good news for my Co workers!
Check out the maps on Sensorly. Quite the nice purple cloud blooming on the Windward side.

Sensorly now shows 4G in Kaneohe.

We had just upgraded our phones (new 2 year contract) when they let us switch to Framily without any penalty. If I can no longer add people to my Family, I have a right to leave ETF free right?
That was my understanding.

Am I reading this right? You can get 8GB for $170 (70+25+25+25+25) or you can get 20GB for $160 (100+15+15+15+15). Doesn't make much sense.

I know. I think you can consider to jump to Tmo then going back for the new customer deal.
They always give best deals to new customers. All carriers do this.
Jumping between CDMA and GSM is a pain.

Apparently, they are moving away from the unlimited.
They believe the best profit is from those who use less than 5GB per month. It needs some gut to push those heavy users to Tmo.
I'm still thinking they should make the $amount lower in order to quickly grab users.
But this may not be their current focus. As we all know they can revise the plan with cheaper price at anytime, as long as it's going to get cheaper so the users won't complain.
In that case I'm probably one of their most profitable customers. I rarely exceed 500MB per month. And with this plan I feel like they knocked on my door and pissed on my shoes.

Unless you lose more subs then you bring in.
And the subs you lose were paying more per month than the subs you brought in.

I stand corrected. Took my lunchtime stroll and voila. LTE. My bet is this is the tower on top of the Meridian Apartment building.
And yes Nacron, I did Sensorly it for you. [emoji6]

Ha! I was right!
Wow. Glad I held off on switching to T-Mobile. Just got LTE yesterday, and now a seriously competitive plan.

The Kailua Town side of kailua has had lte up for about 24 hours now.
I live in Enchanted lakes....so no go.
Over by Kimos surf hut I got 12.38 down and 3.85 up.
I'm on Hamakua and am only getting 3G. But it is an improvement.

4G up this morning in Kaneohe. I'm pretty sure it's the tower at the corner of Kahuhipa and Kahekili Hwy. I mapped my trip with Sensorly. Just 3G in Kailua and Aeia.

wow, maybe I'll see some LTE in the zipper lane tomorrow. I usually drop all data in that area
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Maybe you will. We've been having dropped data all the time in Kaneohe prior to this event.

Map it on sensorly.
If I catch it again I will. I was in such a state of shock at seeing it, I'm surprised I remembered to do a speed test.

Has it been up for a while or are they testing?
Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Don't know. I was at Longs and glanced at my phone to use Google Wallet, and saw the 4G. Don't have it at home so I think it's just one tower. Probably the one on Kahuhipa Street.

Hopefully they can upgrade more sites quickly and add b26. I am visiting in a few months.
If they announce competitive prices this week I'll keep with them. It's nice to see progress.

Holy Crap! LTE in Kaneohe!

Unless I'm reading this wrong... I like it. Can't imagine that it would be long before changes happen. Other wise wouldn't people wait in signing up?

I hope it happens soon because T-Mobile's new family plan is very tempting.

Good. Now we wait and see if Iliad comes back with a sweeter offer.
I'm betting they're going to surrender.

Any more news when LTE goes active? It has been awhile.
Should be soon. Towers are being upgraded all over the windward side. The scrawny old tower on Kaneohe Bay Drive is now sporting LTE antennas and is now noticeably more "beefy".

Looking at the strength of the signal and the terrain, maybe you're picking up a signal from the tower across the harbor?
