  1. My TWC has been okay, delivering 50/5 most of the time, but I'm paying plenty for the service ('net only, modem no longer rented) and YouTube connectivity is horrid.

I'd be happy if they upped upload speeds to 10 Mbps and fixed the YouTube issue (which is their problem). But they'd have to make upgrades, which cost money, to do that...and neither U-Verse's 45 Mbps upgrade nor Google Fiber are here yet. And LTE, though faster on uploads, would be a bad idea to try to use as a home connection. Until FreedomPop offers TD-LTE based service anyway.

How are Freedompop price's after 500mb?

I would be happier with them if they had better packages with better upload speed for the money and also got the speeds I am paying for more than 70% of the time. My speeds are fine for now as they have gotten better after replacing all the cabling to my home, the modem a few times and upgrading the network thanks to a lot of homes being built near by. Hope not many of them sign up for time warner cable, and go for the FITH ISP for high speed internet. ( I hope they will let me sign up for some fiber goodness, but likely not.)

  3. Considering you have yet to spell it correctly gives little to support your credibility.

Never said it was credible or that any one should just take my word for it. And yes I have spelled pole correctly the first time I typed it. I got this info from someone I know who works at Verizon. Still I think it's okay to take this with a dump truck full a salt.

The way the program works as far as I know and have been told is pay on the phone every month for about 2 years, but if you have paid half of it off you can trade in your smart phone in 6 month's to get a new one and restart the whole thing again. And that it doesn't have to be the one you paid for or even the same model.

I could be wrong or mistaken in this, but I am just giving a heads up. If you wish to bash my statement into the ground be my guest.

  4. Made 600 in the first two min of market opening today. Option's are crazy good when your right!

Made 3800 gross for the week, lost 340 net gain 3460. :)

The force was with me this week. :)

Now only if it was real money than a paper trade thing. :(

  5. Share the loop hole please...

Let's just say that if you pay off half of your phone off then you Don't have to trade the SAME phone back in. Just find a cheap, 4G smart phone that's works well use it for a few days then trade it in. And start it all over again. I know an insider. :)

Just a disclaimer: If doing this, makes you lose money, unleashes an act of god, kill's your first born, or does unforeseen damage to yourself, your wife, your kids, home or any other things you own that I am not going to pay jack. :)

  6. When you see HSPA+42 it is technically DC-HSDPA. It is two HSPA carriers bonded together in the downlink. That's why the downlink data rate "doubles," but the uplink stays relatively low.

But, because it is 2 HSPA carriers, it actually has 2 voice carriers, increasing voice capacity as well as data capacity.

Well I would have to guess that's likely why they waited to deploy LTE due to it not being that much faster and not increasing voice capacity.

  7. I remember when I lived in Cape Coral, FL back in my high school days and my parents had CenturyLink and the highest they could offer was 1.5 but it was more like 500k every day with super high ping...grr I hated them

Right now in Miami I have Comcast's 50/10 and I can't complain, absolutely love it.

I had 56k and dial up with AOL 12 years ago so, that really really sucked.

  8. Even though I am not a fan of apple stuff, I went in to best buy and asked the best buy rep were the "new" ipad was. He then showed me the ipad 2, when the "new"/3rd gen that I asked to see was on the other side of the table. But then the guy did it to every one else who asked the same thing like he couldn't see that the screen on the 2 was 100% crap Vs the 3.

But then again I can see the pixels on a 4.3in 720P screen and 100% love the 1080P screen on the S4 even though every one loves to call it over kill. :)

But on the flip side I know some good reps too and one of them I got to know so well that he told me to go to hhgreg if I wanted a good price on a TV.

  9. Takes more effort to string/provision fiber to a rural cell site than to move an urban site from 5x5 to 20x20, if you own the spectrum to do it.

It would be nice if they at lest upgrade the ones right out side the city's like the one that takes care of every one on the edge of town. Soon though a nice 200-400k home area is being built so T-mobile should think about taking care of them if nothing else.

  10. When you only have one or maybe two at best Option's for wireline high speed internet, well thing's tend to go wrong.... a lot. And every time you get them to "fix" it, a new issue always seem's to pop up. I think it must be an over loaded node because my power level's are fine.

    My slow speed issues:

    And now:

Yep I used my Verizon phone to upload the video, becuase it would have taken my time warner connection all night if at all to do the upload and then stupid youtube has it's bug's. ( I had to reupload due to a error with youtube.)

  11. Yup 150Mbps coming in 2015. Dallas should have 2x20Mhz this year!

Also verizon should have 2x20Mhz in a lot of places this year.

Will the RDU area get 2x20Mhz from T-moblie or Verizon this year? I know Verizon needs to fill in some slow areas yesterday, but it didn't sound like they were going to do much with band 4 this year, but I could be mistaken.

  12. Simply put, AT$T just showed up with the biggest dump truck full of cash.

I wouldn't they it's that simple because from what I have been reading, they have been one of the biggest pushers of micro cell sites and they put there 700 LTE on every tower unlike Verizon who doesn't care if there speeds go down in the dump and spaces them as far apart as they can.

But yes I am sure green paper also had alot to do with this.

  13. Today I've visited T-Mobile's 2x10Mhz test site in NYC, and it looks good to me :)

I think that's the fastest 10x10 LTE speed test I have ever seen. Didn't even think hitting 73 would even happen real world ever. (I know the max is 75, but I didn't think even with only your self using it that more than 70 was going to happen.)

  14. I am 100% going to do Verizon's edge due to I know a loop pole. :)

AT&T's next though is a 1000% rip off. T-moblies jump is not the worst if your going to pay $8 a month anyway for insurance. ( I think that in of it's self is a rip off but that's just me.)

If they were going to be renamed it should be T-moblie jump though hoops to get 4G, AT&T next rip off and Verizon's dull Edge.
