You can mix and match the standard and unlimited plus just like you are suggesting. Its $10 to add to any line so you can customize to your families needs.Instead of having two plans, they should have offered HD streaming as a $10 add-on option. With these two plans, an entire family has to buy HD if only one person wants it.
Also, I hope they are including taxes and fees in these new plans. Because if they aren't, then Sprint is selling a Kia Sorento at Chevrolet Corvette prices. A family of four would have $10 worth of Admin Fees added to the bill each month. Then add taxes & fees and Unlimited Basic could be anywhere between $15-25 more a month than T-Mobile.

Most plans now require autopay to get $5 off each line. It was notified in your previous bills.

I can't speak for chat reps but Corp stores can see data usage in what id call clumps (lol). It shows us something like this along with calls and text info:
10-12-17. 16:45:00. 4500kb
10-12-17. 16:47:00. 150kb

maybe they mean software update to the tower. I've always heard that CA at some point is just a remote update once the equipment is in place.Sprint has stated that 4XCA will be deployed via software update. I have been told time and time again that current Sprint b41 equipment can only do 3XCA×2 at the most. Can someone explain?

I handled one today and it's pretty slick. I need to activate it on our demo account and get it on the display wall tomorrow so I will try and get some speed test. Unfortunately because of the mini macro site on our roof we get amazing B25 and don't connect to B41 in store.

what you are describing is the brand new store model which is rolling out. there is some stores near me slated for it later this year which is pretty cool.Having a wireless insurance agent in each store is a great idea. I don't even mind the idea of Sprint, or any carrier stores for that matter, deciding against an all-in-one training approach in favor of specialists, so long as it doesn't require having to hire too many employees bringing up the cost of retail.
The other issue I have with carrier stores, is the huge size of these stores nowadays in terms of wasted space. Verizon and AT&T seem to be the worst in this regard, while Sprint is a bit better. T-Mobile stores I think do the best in terms of maximizing space and make it easy to navigate between areas with device counters.
Still, while I like the concept of having a store serve multiple purposes, so long as the physical space is compact enough with easy navigation, my visit to the Roosevelt Road Sprint store yesterday made me rethink the possibility for Sprint to make an example for all the wireless carriers not go down this ridiculous "lifestyle center" route AT&T and Verizon have been doing lately with their large stores.
Everything in the Sprint store I went to yesterday was very compact, yet still had enough walking space to get around. It didn't have the drab grey appearence I've seen in so many Sprint stores I've seen elsewhere around here. Instead, it had a stylish black and yellow design scheme, with a lowered square strip pattern with attached lighting, which was a few feet away/under from the above ceiling. It was very stylish, with a massive register counter. It almost looked like a fancy sports shop kind-of appearence. I really like the store, and I'm pretty sure it was corporate too.

every service and repair Corp store has Assyrian employeesMy main gripe with Sprint retail stores is that most of them are 3rd party, which makes them useless for almost everything. If you have a billing issue or need a phone issue resolved, their first solution is to sell you a new phone. Their second solution is to send you to a corporate store.
Sprint should find a way to get an Assurion agent in each store for phone repairs or technical guidance.

yes it's being called Calling Plus. it's launching on the j7 and stylo 3 initially. They are using the Wi-Fi calling software/app to make it work and will allow a seamless transition from a Wi-Fi call to a VOLTE call. I was shocked when they announced it yesterday.https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/6d561u/volte_trials/
Apparently VOLTE is going into trial??

galaxy s8/8+ and IPhone 7/7+ still get the yearly upgrade for no extra cost in the flex markets. Every other phone you can add yearly upgrade for $5 a monthI like the idea of combining the lease and ownership installment payment options together, but I don't like the 18-month deal part of it. I'd rather there be a higher monthly fee based on a 12-month payment schedule, offer the option after 12-months, then extend it beyond that for those who want to continue making payments for ownership.
If done this way, people who choose to get a flagship device at launch, can do so, then 12 months later when the new model gets released, they can end the lease right then. I'm very much supportive of an idea I've had for awhile around the $45 price point. I'd very much like to see Sprint or any carrier introduce a plan where if a customer enters in a 12-month deal for a flagship device at a $45 monthly cost, they can get an unlimited plan for $45 monthly, and package it as an under $100 monthly deal.

you can definitely switch it on your account. Simply need to call care or switch it on sprint.com but you will need a new SIM card because they use different models.I have a Sprint Slate 8" with unlimited data, but the tablet feels inadequate. I can get a Sprint Galaxy Tab A 10.1" for cheap refurb- can I put my Slate SIM card in the Tab A and have it work? It is already a data plan so I am NOT cheating anyone.
The SIM you need is sku 854798005125 which Corp stores do carry.

i dug through the info more and when you buy the phone it's a lease so the tax is monthly on the bill. At the end of the lease is when you have the option to sign an EIB for the remainder of the phone. It does not say how tax is collected at that point. How is sales tax handled?
For Leases it's broken up over months.
For Monthly Installments it's paid upfront.

Sprint is trialing a leasing program in 6 markets (some of them are pretty large markets) currently. How is works is everyone phone is sold on Sprint Flex which is an 18 month lease with the option to make 6 additional payments to own the phones full price. it's just like the current lease but instead of making a one time bulk payment you get the option of breaking it up. basically it stream lines the sales process and no long requires the customer to decide upfront if they want eib or lease because now they will be one in the same and you make your decision at the end. Either give the phone back or make a few more paymentsand own it. Another benefit is no sales tax upfront like currently needed on eib.You literally wrote "Sprint is considering a new phone leasing program," and linked to an article that doesn't say that. I have no problem with linking to that article. Just try and be more accurate in your summation of it. Outside of that article Claure provided some pretty good color into why Sprint likes phone leasing during his interview at the conference. A better discussion would be focused on that.

Right now its 199/ 8.33 a month and there is a promo for a 100 off any tablet via a 4.17 credit every month. So you could get it for 100 total by paying it off over 24 months. I still love mine but i only use it for watchibg stugf on KODI or reading on kindle.

Pretty sure it runs off VerizonHow does Comcast provide voice and or data service when you are on the highways, metro etc?
I can see Comcast can provide adequate service on inner city roads but big road and highways will be a major challenge

They are scraping all the current plans except for some new unlimited plan we should learn about tomorrow. A big wig sent out a teaser email internally touting the move as getting rid of gimicks and limitations.

I was there for launch of Sprint @ RS and they promised us this even back then that they owned some leases and that if RS failex those leases would possibly be converted.
The last 2 years have been interesting but im glad to.be done with RS. After seeing their inner workings and how they operate i can honestly say im suprised it took this long.
Examples
They micro manage and require constant POP refreshes and want multiple pics to critique til its perfect.
They treat and pay their staff terribly and thats why no one with any common sense works there.
If the website has it and the store doesnt the store cant order it.
They dont take care of their facilities. Our sign out by the road blew out and shattered a year ago and i still empty.
*im pretty sure this is illegal*
Last week they raised all prices 20% before this clearence sale started. They litterally replaced every tag in the store and it tool 8 hours.
