I have a Nexus 5x, Activated it today and it seems my TEP + on my iPhone 6s is gone.. It seems I cannot have the TEP + added back because the Nexus 5x 'is not compatible' with TEP +

 

Normally when I activate a Sprint phone like a LG G2 or a Galaxy S4 the TEP + will carry over. Which is what I want.

 

Now that I have the 5x the TEP + will not carry over and it appears there's a deadline before I can add TEP + otherwise I'll not be eligible anymore..

My iPhone 6s is a lease and I'd like to keep it protected with TEP (just in case) + as I've protected the 5X with the Nexus protect program..

 

Who can I contact to get this solved, maybe a workaround for now?

I've been a happy Sprint customer so far Coverage, Speed and got the Nexus 5x SIM UPS overnight for free to me..

 

Now just this one little issue. Any help would be great!

 

I love both Android and iOS which is why I have more than one device.

You cant have TEP on that phone because sprint does not have a way to to repair or exchange it through out inventory system since we dont carry it. When you add the iphone back ypu will have the option to add tep back if you do it through care or a store.

An employee on the Sprint subreddit posted that tomorrow's promotion has been changed. Instead of three months, you will have to have had your phone for seven months to be eligible.

I can confirm this.

My best friends wife and him are on iPhone for Life and her phone is now listed as upgrade eligible, yet his isn't. He will be disappointed if his phone doesn't become upgrade eligible.

I'm showing 2 of the 3 lines I plan to upgrade tomorrow are now eligible to upgrade. They weren't yesterday. Hopefully that 3rd one drops and everything will be hunky dory.

Is there any difference between that 1 that did not show upgradeable and the other 2? We were told most customers with a phone 3 months old would be eligible but they never told us what would make some one not qualify.

Very bad. That really sucks. I would assume the same policy would take place at BestBuy, too.

Its temporary there was too much fraud and the authorized users had too much power. Once they modify it some it will be back.

Will be interesting to see the terms of Upgrade Day. Will they force you to return the existing phone? Can loyalty credit apply? Etc.

Our QRB is very vague, but it definitely has to be a lease. Says all lines will show as being upgrade eligible and to follow normal upgrade flow. So if your in a year contract you can keep the phone ( thats how we treat upgrades when they upgrade to lease from 2 year). If its easy pay or lease you have to give back the current phone you are making payments on.

Apparently from Reddit they let you get one code per phone number rather than account.

 

Sprint shouldnt let that happen. Should be 1 per account to share the love. Some people are too greedy.

 

2,000 is rather limited. I actually hope the next couple of days are much lower value prizes so more customers can take advantage. This is excellent PR/customer retention and I hope Sprint can reach as many customers as possible with it

Im not even sure what the hell tomorrows prize is. I know framily wall was like a social media sharing app for your family. Wtf premium is i have no idea.

Nope but my market has very few towers id consider congested. They both just came in to pay bills and its an immediate urgent pop up explaining they are deprioritizated when i went into the account. I wouldn't of noticed if it wasnt for the pop up, which im sure is there incase they call in.

So... Anyone been deprioritized yet? I'm noticing slightly better speeds near me where they were originally sub 1mbps, but now are 4-5. I'm wondering if some users on the sites are affected and it's getting me a better experience.

I needed at least the 5GB so I know for sure I won't go over but I was told if I do there is no overages, if I do go over I am just throttled to 2G speeds.

Thats only on sprint share packs and tmobile 50% plans.

Yea I am aware of the access fee but it still comes out to be much cheaper than AT&T.

Did you want the 5gb or did the rep suggest that? Im just curious because they only pay us 0.5 commission on the these 50% plans if they are on data plans below 5gb. So i imagine everyone is pushing hard to get people to atleast 5gb. I know i do lol. Its like a $7.50 difference to go from 2 to 5gb so pretty easy upsell and honestly way better than overages on a tiny bucket.

So after four months using AT&T I am back with Sprint and couldn't be more happier. AT&T's voice quality needs a lot of work here, VoLTE either worked or dropped every few calls. I finally ended up disabling VoLTE in favor of UMTS/HSPA which worked but punished my ears (crackling, popping, and a loud squeak) depending on what side of town I was on. On the data side AT&T's LTE worked but wasn't nothing to write home about, at least once a week I would get a message when trying to use the web browser stating "that a data connection couldn't be established."

 

So this past Wednesday I went into one of the Sprint stores here and got signed up for iPhone Forever, ported my number back to Sprint, traded in a working smartphone, and walked out with a iPhone 6S. The best part is I am only paying half of what I paid on AT&T ($25/5GB) which you can't beat in my opinion. Only gripe I had was when I was in the store, it was BUSY! Everyone there was switching over from Verizon or AT&T and had nothing but happy faces once the reps showed them what they would pay once they switched.

 

Things are looking up for Sprint!

I hope the rep told you that 50% plans have access fees based on the competition charges. So the $25 for 5gb + $12.50 access fee.

 

I hope you were told but in case you werent i wanted to let you know. Gotta look out for my fellow S4GRUers.

If i have to spend my time selling it out, getting the contractbsigned and setting it up it should be paid. Thats what i think, if they dont want to do that then it should be done through some automated website and mailed to them.

It makes a lot of sense to offer that same service that they were going to giveaway on that tablet on any tablet, if the customer pays for it. Marcelo...do it!!!

They are actually trying to cut cost to this promo. We are not to mention it unless some one bitches. Also it's not a commissionable sale so no point in trying to push it even.

They wont let you switch. I attempted to raise tjis question during the town hall call yesterday. I ended up email marcelos office to ask why we are not doing this. Why not give free service and make $20 a month on an ipad lease rather tha subsidizing a device no one wants. The email i got thanked me for the feedback and that would be submitted for further review. Last time i made a suggestion this same person emailed me that they would look into it and reached out again and asked my opinion on the matter. So there is hope.

I'm with you in the same boat. I'm on Framily and been on it for over a year. We are at max users and only had 1 person drop in all the time I've been on this plan. That person was replaced shortly later. Mind you I don't know any of the other Framily member's. But who knows how long this plan or users will be around. I just can't find anything better then$45 unlimited everything.

Not to be rude, but im curious why sprint needs to give you a guys a reason to switch from framily. You got a sick deal with yearly upgrades and a current equivalent plan would be $70 +10 for yearly upgrade and the only added benifet is 3gb hotspot. Id rather pay 45,50,55 all the way to 75 instead of 80.

 

Anyways like i said im not being rude i just dont understand what you want or why you feel entitled to something else that will never end up being as good.

Agree about potential for confusion. I would happily consider an LTE iPad on Sprint for my wife if there were waived activation and line fees. Otherwise I will stick to only considering a wifi tablet and running it off my phone hotspot when we are on vacation.

Currently if you lease an ipad and put it on the 2gb ($30) plan you get a $17 credit. Ipad mini is 17 and air2 20 a month. So you could get a mini w/2gb for 30 or air2 for 33 a month
