  1. The mistake was not staffing with totally corp sprint employees. My market is all corp and everyone i know has been doing 150-300% of their assigned quata amd making $1000-3000 in commission. Ive been in some of the star assist RS staffed stores and they were terrible at selling sprint. I heard that sprint thought so lowly of them that they wete only asking for 5-10 phone sales a month which is probably why sprint wasnt paying them crap. While sprint staffed stores are asked for 50-100 devices a month and beating the goals.

  2. Nope I don't get anywhere near that amount of data usage.

I'm talking about the limiting of speeds and video quality they call "optimization" which is just a focus group driven synonym for throttling.

Oh Goody... I get to pay them more money if I actually want full speed everything which then once again makes the new plans more expensive than legacy plans.

The unlimited freedom now comes with hd streaming for free which is 1080p+, music streamibg at 1.5Mbps and gaming streaming at 8 Mbps.

  3. I've done this before in this post but I'll do it again to show you. I have 2 lines with ED1500. Here is my breakdown for 24 months:

    Two Premium Phones: $200 x 2 = $400

    Primary line monthly: $110 + $10 = $120

Employer 18% discount off whole first line : - $19.80

    Secondary Line: $19.99 + $10 = $29.99

    Service for 24 months: $100.20 + $29.99 = $130.19 x 24 = $3124.56

    Total cost = $3124.56 + $400 = $3524.56

    New plan and installment comparison:

    1st line: $60 existing customers

    2nd line: $40 existing customers

-Employee discount as far as I know doesn't work on these new plans but even if it does it is less than ED1500 discount wise.

    Service: $100 x 24 = $2400

Cost of premium Samsung Phone, since I'm an Android user and stick with Samsung normally with easy pay:

    Galaxy S7: $28.96 x 24 months = $695.04 x 2 phones = $1390.08

    Total cost for 24 months:

    $1390.08 + $2400 = $3790.08

So as you can see new plans are more expensive over 24 months with added paying for phones in full, not to mention throttled data for certain aspects of it.

I didn't even get into that I actually like to pre-order the best and greatest (generally a Note device) that will be way more money in easy pay than the S7 currently is as well.

I know I should buy my phone outright. I have the ability to do that but why do it when easy pay is the same price over 24 months. There is no price advantage

of doing that on a brand new released flagship phone as it saves no money.

Now if Sprint is going to offer $10-15 per line per month easy pay credits to make it cheaper over 24 months (which I hear they are doing now to loyal customers) then that makes the new plans on par except the throttled data situation.

Unlimited freedom gets a $5 per line employer discount so subtract $240 from your total and your final price difference on both is down to almost nothing.

  4. Something I think most people on old subsidy plans seem to forget is they are not owed an upgrade in the future. You agree to a two year service commitment for your device to be subsidized. Service plans should have been separated from equipment long ago. If you're still in contract, your device is still being repaid for via service subsidy. Anybody trying to switch to the new plan without the subsidy penalty is no different than some one on easy pay asking for a bunch of their device payments to be waived because they don't want to pay it.

Ive been explaining it to customers for years. You got the benefit at the begining of the contract of a disxounted device. After 2 years both you and Sprint have completed their ends of the bargin. Now you can make another agreement with Sprint if you want. You didnt earn anything you simply fullfilled your agreed upon terms of your contract.

  5. Funny thing, Sprint was supposed to call me today after a few remarks I made on twitter... guess what? no phone call today. I am really disappointed, they must really want a merger.

Its a pretty hectic time im sure, im sorry they didnt call you back yet. But good newss is marcelo has announced all people whether new or current customer will get the 10gb of hotspot and hd for free.

  6. Hrm, questions on this new 60 + 40 2nd + 30 each additional line plan compared to someone currently still on a full Framily for Rocket or any other Sprint employees we have here:

(1.) Are the 'unlimited' charges built into the new plan charges already, or is there any separate fee per line for that still? I don't see anything in the fine print to indicate the latter but just making sure.

(2.) The fine print mentions $30/line activation fee - surely that wouldn't apply if you're already an existing customer that changed plans?

(3.) "Discounted phones are subject to additional $25/line charge?" - guessing that just means 2-year subsidy scenarios, but just looking for confirmation of that.

(4.) How are employer discounts applied now if 'unlimited' isn't a separate charge? Are we back to a percentage of the total line cost then, meaning for a 4-line scenario of $160, 20% off would actually bring you down to $128?

(5.) Saw the mention of autopay discount - if you do this (I currently do), what is the discount, a flat dollar amount? (Disregard, see followup post below)

(6.) The fine print on this new plan showing on my account mentions 'up to $2.50 Admin' charge per month, and for some reason my current Framily billing has a $9.95/month Admin charge - is the 2.50 max an actual change I'd see if I switched going forward, or is there something I'm missing with the current $9.95 charge on the Framily plan such that it would stay and the $2.50 would be in addition to what I currently carry?

Just trying to figure out hard numbers - thanks in advance to anyone that can shed any light on the above.

    1. There are no extra charges, on the bill it will show line 1 $65/60/55 line 2 $45/40/35 line 3-10 $35/30/25

    Base/autopay/autopay + employer discount.

2 . activation/upgrade fee is only if you buy a new phone

    3. Yes if you are on a 2 year you will pay that $25 penalty. It would be better for you to upgrade even if its just to a tribute hd which is $120/ $5 a month and switch backn to your own phone rather than pay that fee.

    4. Employer discounts are a flat $5 off each line. Look at #2

    5. Answered

    6. Its up to $2.50 per line. Do you have like 4 lines? Pretty sure up to $2.t0 admin charge per a line is currently what any sprint customer pays on any plan.

    Hope that helps some

  7. That I'm not sure. I don't recall seeing that. I don't want to click on add to cart and my current plan goes away. If they are charging a fee to switch that's dumb as hell.

They wont charge you. Thats mentionned to cover their ass for the upgrade fee if you upgrade when you change.

  8. Its great that Sprint finally decided to match Tmobile's and Verizon's offer of the 10 GB of high speed hotspot tether and HD video streaming by default.

    http://newsroom.sprint.com/news-releases/sprint-launches-best-unlimited-hd-plan-ever.htm

However there are still 2 issues which still do not solve Sprint's problem.

    1) Are the folks who signed up for the 5 lines/$90 promo before Fri, 2/17 going to get an automatic upgrades to the HD video streaming and increased high speed hotspot tether from 5 GB --> 10 GB?

Its not clear from the press release if this is true. Hopefully Sprint is smart enough to automatically upgrade all Freedom Unlimited customers since the introduction of this plan to the HD video streaming and 10 GB hotspot tether beginning Fri, 2/17.

    2) The 5 lines/$90 promo is NOT available to current customers. I still see a ton of Sprint customers porting out to other carriers simply because of no offers being given to loyal customers. Need to make this offer available to all customers so they can simplify their billing system and give them a reason to want to sign up for the Freedom Unlimited plan. Hell Sprint can even make it a limited offer starting Friday, 2/17 where for a limited time current customers can take advantage of this same offer as new customers to just stop the initial port out bleeding.

Yes anyone on this plan since it came out on 2/10 is getting migrated over to the hd and 10gb hotapot.

  9. Sorry for my ignorance but I thought the S7 already had 3x CA.

It has the capability to do it but its turned off. The htc bolt was first to have it on and the s7 will be next. Im in an area that is 87% b41 complete and has a ton of and 3rd channels live just waiting to be used. So it should be prettt awesome.

  10. Are there any markets yet that are at a 100% percent completed with band 41 roll out ? I know sprint announcement LTE plus markets live at about 60 to 70 % complete.

Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

Utah is at 89% b41, indy 87% and chicago 85%. Those are the top 3 i saw but thats it a bit skewed since utah and indy have about 300 towers each and chicago has 1500.

The majority of the markets seem to be 60%+ on b41.

  11. Marcelo's on course to earn that bonus of 10 million Sprint shares.

It just has to average $8/share over any 150-day period during a four-year term from June 1, 2015, through May 31, 2019.

    http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/technology/article92674502.html

Other execs are set to benefit as well.

All employees do too. At the store level we each get 500 shares at $8 and 600 at $10. Of course its all restricted til 2020 so you cant sell it and if you leave the company you lose it. [emoji17]
