  1. Hopefully someone will figure out a way to achieve root without triggering that eFuse Knox trigger permanently.

I would be happy just with root so I can use the Xposed framework, Greenify, Titanium, and a few others. I don't mind TouchWiz so much b/c I just use Hololauncher. :)

I have heard that there is a Root out there. I never heard about this eFuse till I read about it here (it is real).

So I think that we might be OK....???

    Lateck,

  2. Sprint users experiencing terrible call quality on the Note 3?

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/09/sprint-galaxy-note-3-owners-complain-of-garbling-morphing-popping-and-just-all-around-terrible-call-quality/

I have had a number of calls that at first I thought it was my location but, I remembered my Note 2 worked in that location. So, yes, I have had poor phone calls.

Also the signal is weaker with my Note 3 (non LTE) then my N2. More roaming.

Also at times my WiFi drops out.....(mostly in the evening).

So, please don't just say it's the Sprint haters.

(Not that I'm waving a Sprint flag). :-D

  3. Anyone still seeing 4G in Yuma, mine stopped around 230 and haven't had it pop back up since, and I have been all over town for appts Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

I knew it...... It's the water...... What ever your drinking...... ;-) There's no LTE....

I too saw your post and went driving around last night and found nothing.....

I hope it was a test and we will see LTE here in Yuma soon.

    Thanks for posting.

    Lateck,

PS: Note to mods, this is not a rant. I started my reply with a joke........

  4. Blast! They need to add another one out in the Foothills...maybe just north of i-8 exit 12 seeing as how that is only about 3 miles from my house...that would be great!

    In south county too...

With Sensorly, I was loosing signal completely at times, near Ave B & Cty 19th. In San Luis AZ the same, when you move away from the Hwy 95 corridor.

On a side note: It's fun mapping with Sensorly..... I find myself looking for places to drive though on my trips just so I can map it.......

    (Can't wait for LTE......)

    Lateck,

  5. It's not as quiet in the sponsor area. I'm running out of permits to track.

Do you know if Sprint has plans to add more towers in Yuma County?

I have been playing with Sonsorly (FUN    ) and I am finding a lot of 1 & 2 bar 3G areas.

I have not seen an acceptable speedtest in the county.. (on Sonsorly)

But the main corrador of Yuma is in the 3~5 bar 3G range  ;)

    Lateck,

  6. Write things got really quiet around here!

Anyone else hoping that the drop in temps will help speed along whatever the hold up is for Yuma?

Things are a mixed bag right now.   Service has improved in the Foothills but today I was driving around the old part of town and trying to map with Sensory and it could not even pull up the map....

    Lateck,

  7. I disagree, I know they are barely working on the back haul in Yuma buy I have noticed a huge increase, primarily at the office where I have peaked at 2mbps and average above 1mbps even during peak times. Also, ping time down below 100ms much of the time

This is good. But the coverage out at the college (AWC) has been real poor the last couple of weeks. (I have been roaming all morning for the last two weeks).

Are they working on the towers out there?

On another note: Sprint LTE is fast... I had the chance to head to the mountians near Sand Diego and I stopped in Ocotillo and checked it out. Fast, just like I was on WiFi at home.  It's great that they have that service...  :D

    Lateck,

  8. Wait what!? Why the hell would they get rejected? For whatever reason why they would do that why doesn't Sprint tell them to piss up a rope and go with Comcast or something else?

We only have Time-Werner or Century Link. No one else.

I too have been told by a few Sprint reps that 4G was coming over the last few months. First April, then June and even by the first of August.......

The speeds seam to be slowing down. I just did a test and the ping was 572ms, download: 0.05mpsupload: 0.32mps.....

All within sight of a tower.

I hope this is the storm before the sunrise.....

    Lateck,

  9. Tim; Thank you for the reminder.

To relate it back on subject; the service here in the Yuma area has shown a noticeable decrease. Sprint at one time was the best in the southwest. I have seen the drop in coverage and even more roaming around the county. I did not know how far down it was till I compared it to an equal phone on another network.

I joined here to keep track of the improvements, with a positive thought and plan.

    Again, sorry for the rant.

  10. They still must be messing with towers in Yuma, drove all the way from Foothills through Yuma to a friends house just outside of the city....EvDo the whole way.  On the way back to my house in the Foothills about 4 hours later, Ehprd, but couldnt get a data connection (no internet, Facebook, etc.), couldnt do a prl update nor a profile update.

I know this is all pains associated with the upgrade...but the saga continues!

I agree that there are pains but..... I will jump from Sprint if they do not fix this and have great 4G by time the Note 3 ( 32gb) comes out!

My son has a Note 2 (so do I) on Verizon and he is getting full bars of 4G LTE where I can only get 2 bars 3G! If not roaming.

I have had reasonable service with Sprint but now I'm mad that I can not get what I am being charged for, LTE.

    Lateck,

  11. I see technicians working on a tower off of 18th st (& Riley) in Yuma for the last week.

Looks like they are installing the 800 mhz hardware ( looks like the photos found here on this site).

Maybe we'll get LTE before Christmas?????? A local Sprint store rep said in 3 weeks..... (right).

    Lateck,

  12. I've been lurking for a number of months ( since I have had my Samsung Note 2).

Trying to find out when (or if) LTE will come to Arizona or my corner of the state.

I have been following the thread over in the market section.

Thanks for the site, it is professional and nice.
