  1. My battery drain has been as bad as when the N3 first came out. (The fix for that worked).

But now I see different apps using the battery more than before KK.

But, the overall experience has not been real bad. I have learned to live with is issue for now.

No other issues with Kit Kat....

  2. Now that the Yuma Market is fat and happy with 4G,,,, :rasp:

Is there any idea when or if South County will be improved (even in 3G)?  (San Luis, AZ)

I would think that they would need more towers????

Just asking, as I travel there every so often and my Note 3 has pooooor signal.  :td:

    Lateck,

  3. Here phone has BMJ4... still drops calls left and right

Well, I am out of ideas. My N3 did improve after the up-date.

Good luck with customer service. .....

But,I'm sure some smarter brains will chime in.

    Lateck,

  4. Phone is still dropping calls all over the place today :-(

Sprint did roll out an up-date a few weeks after the N3 was released.

I had poor signal and dropped WiFi before the up-date.

My current Baseband version ends in: BMJ4 , check yours.

If you did not get the phone activated properly maybe you do not have the most current software?

    Lateck,

  5. I have had the same problem.... (With Google services)

But to avoid power drain at night I just turn off the GPS.  I have gone from a 30~40% power lose to only 3~8% overnight.

In the morning I turn on the GPS and I can go an entire day on a single charge.

But I too hope that Google get's their act together.

    Lateck,

  6. Another question if anyone knows. (In Yuma county).

I see on the Sensorly map for Yuma that someone picked up (tracked) LTE all the way past Gasden on Hwy 95.

Was that someone here? What phone and time of day was it.

My Note 3 just picks up LTE in town and best at night (evening).

    Lateck,

  7. Seems towers are going online pretty steadily in Tuscon...however things have seemed to die of here in Yuma. Still crossing fingers we'll get some towers turned on east of the city

Or even a bust in power.... In the daytime my LTE is very weak, if at all (and I'm within 10 blocks of a tower).

So, a question: Will the Sprint speeds be near the competition's speeds when the roll out is completed? (Just asking!)

    Lateck,

  8. Uh, no.  I am sorry, but you Arizona peeps think that your plight is representative of the rest of the Sprint network.  It is not.  Your markets were just near the end of the line.  And that is just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes.  However, "most places" in the Sprint network have at least some band 25 LTE 1900 by now.  Plus, your pessimistic projection about tri band usability is way out of whack.

    AJ

You are right. Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and the eastern 2/3's of California is a small unimportant part of the country :-)

Sprint is improving but sloooowly out west. But, they are improving.

Tri-band is still a dream here. But a real dream that can come true.

Sorry to hit a soft spot with my long guess.

    Lateck,

  9. The people on XDA keep holding out that some magical OTA update is going to somehow magically add all the missing hardware overnight all without ever being certified by the FCC.

To me the bottom line is: So What! Most places do not even have single band LTE!

I am happy to have band 25 which is what my area is starting to have and that's all that matters.

It will be 3~5 years (maybe more) till Tri-band will be useable on Sprint.

    Lateck,

PS: I still love my N3 and will stay with Sprint.

  10. Tower at 16th Street and Riley Avenue in Yuma is broadcasting. I will upload screenshots and I'm napping right now in a little while. My tApatalk isn't working.

    Really....

I would not have known if you had not said it. My LTE signal has not improved. (I'm near that tower).

    Lateck,

  11. TechSmurf, can you check this engineering screen. I think another tower is up in Yuma.. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk

We can only hope...... The 2 (?) currently up are hit and miss in the daytime unless your very close to them.

Yes, I'm getting spoiled with the LTE tease, I want more......

Hypeo; Thanks for keeping an eye out for new towers.

    Lateck,

  12. Smorcy11; As I noted in my post (or thought I did) the voice issue has been fixed.

There is still the WiFi issue, where the Note 3 drops poor WiFi very quickly.

But I use the Note as a PDA, so it works very well.

As for the "Tri-band" thing; How many locations have it? For me, I barely have LTE ( 1~2 bars at night). So, why worry about tri-band? (For me).

I can never willfully go to a smaller phone or one without most of the Note 3's features. (My Note 2 is still good and I use it via WiFi).

    My 2 cents,

    Lateck.

  13. So is there anything sprint in the tower I took pics of. What is this talk of south county? Is that what its considered toward the proving ground past the foothills?

I can't answer about the tower (as I too asked about a tower).

But the Foothills is East county or just part ( Wellton, Tacna & Dateland is East County ).

South County is south of County 14/15th, Gadsden and San Luis are the " Cities" there....

    YPG is more North County........

    I hope this is helpful,
