  1. I've never used Sensorly. Is it made by Simply Advanced? Maybe I will go to Burgers and Brews for lunch and try Sensorly. My buddy said the 4G popped up suddenly and he browsed a couple pages before it went away, then it came back up again a few minutes later and he got the screen shots, then the signal went away again and didn't come back. We have noticed that our phone service has sucked very bad for the past couple days. I keep going on roam and my 3G keeps dissappearing or is unable to fully connect. My buddy said his phone went to 1X for a little bit a couple days ago.
  2. 4G LTE downtown Sacramento. My coworker picked up 4G LTE in our building near O & 11th street on his HTC Evo LTE this morning. He sent me a couple screen captures but I can't figure out how to upload the images yet. EDIT: I think I got it.
  3. My data connection in downtown Sacramento was far worse than usual today. I had to hold my phone above my head for about 30 seconds to get a facebook page to load. Also switched a couple times today to local roaming. I am in a big concrete building on the top floor but I guess I'm only a couple blocks away from the tower. I wish this was an indicator of them doing work but it looks like it's just a reminder of how poor the service is. Still patiently waiting though.
  4. Has there been any announcement on Sacramento from Sprint in regard to a timeline yet?
  5. Eh, I was afraid of that happening. I was making a play on words with their misspelling of Sacramento (Sacremento).
  6. They might as well have mispelled it as Sacre-Mental. As in you have to be a mental patient to wait around for Sprint to upgrade their network. haha kidding. https://network.sprint.com/search/Sacremento,CA/
  7. We lost 3G data today downtown Sac. Went to 1x for a bit and then came back. Not sure if there is any work going on down here though. It was around noon.
  8. Finally got a taste of Roseville 4G LTE yesterday when I was at the Lexus dealership dropping off my car. A guy could get used to those sorta speeds. lol However I feel kinda pathetic drooling over LTE speeds when other people have already been enjoying it for the past year if not longer with other services. haha
  9. I picked up 4G on Bannister and Fair Oaks Blvd yesterday evening when I was at the light signal. It was very weak though and as soon as I noticed it, my phone switched to 3G. Not sure which direction it was coming from but I'm sure from Rancho. On a side note, I was enjoying 4G earlier in the day yesterday while in Vallejo. 4G works so nicely. Made me irritated when I got back to Sacramento and my streaming music started cutting out.
  10. I hear you. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I'll bail on my Sprint service because of how bad it is Downtown. I want to stream internet radio and it's just not available most of the time for me. I only want to stream on my way to and from work which is Folsom to Downtown and while at my desk during the work day. I work across the street from the Capitol building and I can barely even check email or facebook. I have Spotify which is at least 160k per sec down and that just doesn't work ever when Downtown for me. I can't even stream Pandora, which I believe is about 53k per sec. Speed test says I get between 100-300k typically but I am still unable to listen to either of my internet radio services. There have been more than a few times where I can barely get 32k down.
  11. I'm hoping to see some more activity for my commute route (50 corridor from Folsom to Downtown). All I care about is streaming music, wish I could get a little better than 160k down (for Spotify) consistently so that I wouldn't get the constant drop outs. They better not decide to get rid of unlimited data after their upgrades are done.
  12. The sooner the better. I'm hoping to stick around for the unlimited bandwidth but the 50k down speeds make it difficult. I am also hoping that they keep the unlimited around after the network is finished nationwide. I have a sneaking suspiscion that it will go away once they have an actual usable data network. Thoughts?
  13. So this may have already been asked or covered but does anyone know roughly how long it should take to finish Sacramento?
  14. I told my work buddy that 4g LTE is almost here and I think he got stoked but he is still jumping ship to Verizon because his wife is beyond tired of waiting. Too bad.
  15. Lincoln is still having all of those problems? Even the school district that I used to work at (WPUSD) out there had problems. The old superintendent years ago was embezzling and they had to cut the budget to make up for the millions that were misappropriated and I almost lost my job in the process. I left anyway when I realized that since I almost got laid off, there was no way I was getting promoted or a raise in pay.
  16. I'm hoping that they properly cover the 50 corridor from Folsom to Downtown. I really want to be able to listen to spotify on my route to and from work without hiccups. 3G was working most of the way before and has been getting worse and worse. It looks like they are in progress in Rancho according to the yellow marker on lilotimz post up above so I'm guessing that's why things have degraded so badly. I just hope that single tower it will have the range to cover from Rosement to Folsom. I don't know much about effective range but that looks like a large swath of land to cover for a single tower.
  17. Don't know. All I know is that in this thread I saw some people talking about how work had already begun on upgrading towers in the area. I haven't seen anything that said any 4g lte towers have gone live though. I must have missed it. What does "accepted" cell site mean?
  18. That's awesome. I didn't know that. I was literally about to jump ship to verizon last week but came back to check on this thread one last time to see if there was any new info. I have decided to wait longer and see how this turns out. Ever since I tasted 4g lte while working in the bay (I got 31 megs down in Fairfield which I'm sure it not typical but it sure did make me grin) last fall/winter I've been extremely irritated on how poor the 3G data rates are in Sacramento, especially downtown Sac where I only get 30-50k most of the time.
  19. Hey guys, I've been lurking on this site for a while. Just joined to share this link from sprint's forums: http://community.sprint.com/baw/message/587235 First 'evidence' of 4G being live in the Sacramento area as far as I know (provided that this is true). Is it possible that this is only wimax 4g? EDIT: The guy says that he was activating an S4 so I guess this would be 4g lte since the galaxy S4 is unable to do wimax.
