  1. Awesome. I'm excited to see how well the coverage fills in as time goes on. I wouldn't mind coming back and getting an unlimited plan again.
  2. Okay thanks. Not sure how most people would know or think to ask if the store is corporate when they walk in. My only point was to mention that they don't tell the truth. I wouldn't even trust a store if they were corporate. Obviously Sprint's own customer service representatives have been saying 3 - 6 months (of course it's always an 'estimate') for the past 2 years now after asking for our cross streets while pretending that they are looking up privileged information to share with us (as they do on their forums, their facebook page, and over the phone). I'm not trash talking, just stating what has been going on. Any dates given cannot be taken as anything more than wishful planning or in my opinion: efforts to prevent further costumer losses.
  3. The downtown Sac Sprint store is the original store that lied to me about 4G LTE two years ago. Take whatever they say with a grain (pile) of salt.
  4. Cool. I'll keep an eye open on their progress. I ended up having to drop sprint because I needed phone and data service but if they can get it together and have decent coverage, and still keep offering unlimited plans, then I'll come back.
  5. I haven't been keeping up with Sprint progress and my sponsor membership timed out. How has Sacramento been doing overall? Have any areas lit up or does it look like they will be doing a cluster launch?
  6. I'm thinking that we'll be doing good in Sacramento by the end of the year as well. Sure would have been nice to see some LTE acceptances in October though.
  7. I don't think that what I wrote should be taken as entitlement. I'm merely alluding to the fact that I was misled by a sales person in the past about a service that I still cannot use in the area I bought the phone for and I'm betting that sales staff will again start touting a service that isn't available. Hopefully I'm wrong and hopefully TD-LTE is available to all capable phones on Sprint's network right away. Sorry for the rant, I like and respect this forum and hope that I didn't cross the forum rules.
  8. I don't want to be a negative Nancy on this one but I'll just state what is true for me. I will definitely stay with Sprint (unless they get rid of unlimited non throttled data) and I will go for tri band, but I learned my lesson not to buy anything until the service I'm being sold on actually works. I haven't even had 'standard' 4G LTE in my town yet to use on my 4G LTE phone, that I was pretty much conned into buying, and they are now marketing the next level of "enhanced" 4G LTE? I understand the particular situation that Sprint is in but just like I have no reason to buy the Galaxy S4, I have no reason for a tri band phone. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice....
  9. So we can get it next week but it won't work with tri band until sometime in 2014? No thanks.
  10. The article goes on to say that it would be a niche product. Why would such a product be considered so? I think that it is the way of the future.
  11. Heck yeah. The closest tower by my house sticks out rather ominous and it's a direct line of site to my house from my back yard. I don't mind one bit. It will be great for my back yard parties when I'm using Spotify! (my home wifi doesn't reach to the back yard).
  12. My uncle used to have a pizzeria in Corning called Luigi's Pizza. That was in the early to mid 80s though. I used to play Tron, the arcade game, there. On another side note, I just ran into an older woman last Saturday who was wearing a "Tips, Red Bluff" shirt out here in Sacramento. Small world. I used to live off Walnut and Paskenta a mile or two down the road from there. Sorry, for the memory lane post!
  13. For sure, I feel the same. I know that I keep saying it but all I want is to be able to listen to my Spotify when driving around.
  14. According to the information I've seen in this particular thread, the permit for the site near R and 15th was issued but no word on when it will be in progress. I've tired more than a couple times to find the equipment. I can't find it on google maps and I can't see anything when walking around out there. I have been hoping that we'll see a boom lift or whatever with some workers soon.
  15. I just got a blip of 4G LTE again in Midtown Sacramento. This time I was on my way back to my cubicle which is close to several concrete walls and it went back to 3G after a few minutes. Speed test was 623k down and 134k up. I know it may be West Sac but I just like to keep reporting. I'm about to head out for lunch and I'm going to pop on Sensorly and see if I pick up anything.
  16. I'll take a consistent 10 - 20 mbps any day. That would be like magic to me. I am unable to use my data most of the time now. I can't use it at my desk downtown anymore and I can use it off and on in Folsom. I don't even bother using it on 50 (for my internet radio) during my commute anymore.
  17. So if I was to have such a phone, if I come into a pocket with no TD-LTE then I just get no data at all? I am very interested in this service but my goal is to try and stay with Sprint and have coverage to and from work for my internet radio. Right now I am no longer able to get data for about 1/3 of my commute on 50 and that is irritating.
  18. What about in Orangevale near Mt Vernon Memorial cemetery? I'm moving nearby in about a week.
  19. is the TD-LTE slated for all areas in Sacramento? If so, does anyone know if it is compatible with 3G in the meantime?
  20. So based on what has been said so far, I can't use it with my Galaxy S3 and I'll need a specific model of smartphone if I wanted the service. Also, is there anything special about this service over the current 4G LTE that they are currently propping up?
