  1. Looks like this device may eventually support direct connect.

    ##DATA# > More >Direct Connect

Gives option for SDC Registation and LTE Specific Paramaters

Downloaded the SDC app but the current version is unsupported.

i noticed this as well, been so busy messing with lte i didnt mention it

  2. When I set the priority to 41- 25- 26 I get an error: unable to secure a wireless data connection, immediately after an lte connection. Then the lte connection drops. I'm going to reset back to my previous, and test. Sadly I don't think I'll be getting any 41 tonight. :'(

  3. No 41 on the way here sadly. I am going to Try a different Way home and aslo set the other bands to 0 and leave 41 as a 1.

  4. Made it to Tremont ave in the bronx. The LG with no case held on to lte better than my HTC one with a tpu case, by 5_7 dbm. Also when my HTC dropped the LG held on. But when I made it to my destination the LG dropped and never connected until I did a reboot. The HTC stayed connected as I arrived, and after. Also 1x signal seems to be about the same, between the two devices, but I can only monitor that when I have no lte on the LG.

  5. So with this setup it sounds like your LTE connection is fine now?

so far with my very limited tesing sitting in this mall parking lot. Lol

  6. I am on my way to the bronx now all bands are enabled. Curious to see if i connect to any 41 sites and how this device handles it

  7. Interesting so you had B25 set to "0" even though you had B26 and B41 disabled? That might explain it.

i dont think i had 25 set to 0. But i might at some point. I belive i may have tried to set up 41-25-26 in that order initially. Maybe for an hour or so last night. When i noticed connectivity issues i immediately set it back to defaults, and still was having problems.

  8. Here are all my settings. And they seem to be working after 2 reboots. Where the volume. Is covering roaming setting. Its set to home only. I have not tested to see if it will reconnect lte after it drops lte. From distant, sites while driving... as an example.

  9. As opposed to me; I had connection issues from the beginning, before enabling 26 and 41. So there's that.

I didnt give it enough time before I enabled the other bands. I should have waited a bit. I am going to try resetting the device from the stock recovery and see if that does anything. Then maybe try removing the sim and reinserting ill try anything at this point

  10. So are you saying that prior to enabling B26 and B41 on your phone, you had perfect B25 LTE connection. So now that perhaps enabling B26 and B41 bands has permanently screwed up the firmware for B25 LTE even if you disable B26 and B41 LTE bands?

    That seems rather strange.

Yes for the 5 minutes or so I had the device activated and in my possession. After I enabled the other bands is when I noticed connection issues. I picked up the device in lower Manhattan I noticed on the way home it wasn't connect ing like it should...

  11. OH WOW!! It shows both GCI and PCI. Stock ROM I assume. If so, that's GREAT news!! Also shows the 310-120 correctly, which we are hoping Sprint has a different ID for the 800 LTE side of things. That would make it easy to determine the band, kind of like how the 224xx SIDs for 1x800. We've already seen the different ID for band 41. Don't remember it off hand though.

stock rom. But I have a feeling that I was connected to band 41 when that was taken. I could not get an lte connection with my htc one no matter what I did. The Lg g2 seems to be connected to lte only at known wimax locations in my area. So far I am having trouble getting an lte connection on band 25 with the Lg. My htc one connects like it should in a band 25 area, but the LG refuses. I believe that enabling the other bands may screw up connecting to band 25 even after going back in and disabling them.

  12. When I activated the device I had an active lte connection. No problem. Not even 5 minutes later I enabled the other bands. I honestly dont know if I would have had any issues with 25 had I not enabled the other bands. I should have waited a bit to enable them. I am afraid that these are the issues that delayed this device and the reason only band 25 was enabled.

  13. If i go to settings. Roaming and i click allow gsm roaming i get a hint of lte and it immediately drops. Only band 25 enabled

  14. Ok, so.

I got really annoyed and drove out to the closest LTE site, and parked 300 feet away from it. Brought my MiFi 500 with me, which was connected fine, at -75 dBm RSRP. Cycle airplane mode on the G2 a couple times, stuck on 3G. At this point, I'm worried. This isn't a signal strength issue, it's more like an LTE auth issue, like what plagued the EVO LTE at launch.

Muck with my LTE band selection settings in ##DATA#. Nothing. Toggle airplane mode, Profile/PRL Updates, nothing. Worried I may have mucked something up, I do a ##RTN# (completely wipes the device, including programming and network info), and when it reactivates... nothing.

I get an idea. I go in to Mobile Network Settings, switch it from "LTE/CDMA" to "CDMA Only" and back to "LTE/CDMA". It connects! And then... disconnects, after working for about 30 seconds. Bars drop to zero, and a notification pops up that says "Unable to establish wireless data connection". Following that, it connects to 3G again.

Once I get back here (where LTE was at around -110 on the Note II), I do the same thing again. It connects to LTE! That puts its signal strength ability at a bit less than the Note's. However, it does the same thing, refuses to stay connected.

As such, I am not going to be offering any more opinions on the G2's signal strength, and will be operating on the assumption that mine is defective. This will be this way unless there is an official release or update to correct it.

Actually, in my small amount of testing just now, Signalcheck Pro shows "no cellular connection" and shows no data at all while connected to 4G LTE on B25. This is true even after enabling "show hidden data". Again, not sure if this is simply my device being defective, or something else.

i am having the same issues as you are.i had an lte connection that i believe was 41 on my G2 my htc one had nothing. I am now sitting under a live band 25 location my htc one os connected with a -75 my G2 just refuses to connect.

  15. Quickest way would be to just disable band 41 right?

I would go find a spot where your HTC One is connected and your LG G2 is not.

Then I would disable everything except Band 25, restart, PRL Update, Airplane Mode Cycle and see if they both connect and what the signal strength is for both of them.

as soon as i enabled the other bands i started having connection issues with 25. I hard reset the device and made sure only band 25 was enabled, profile update prl update. Seems like nothing. Will get this to connect to band 25. I will say this tho, i had no problems before i enabled the other bands.

  16. Screen shots.... i have all bands enabled. I am not connecting to band 25 at all it seems. My htc one is not connected to lte as i type this. When my htc on has lte the G2 does not, i believe i am connected To band 41not sure how to check tho.

  17. Keep me updated about bugs on your new toy.. odd that 1X would vanish when you connect to LTE, I doubt that connection is actually dropping (at least I hope not). Can you make phone calls when connected to LTE? PM me your email address and I will send you a testing APK.

    -Mike

I can make calls while I have lte. Pm on the way
