Prl 25006 Samsung s3. I can see the closest sprint antennas from my home. I usually have full bars for signal. I am currently not roaming and back to full bars. Idk.....

For the last week every other day or so, the roaming icon appears on and off for about an hour. Check out my screenshot. What does this mean? How could I be roaming and connected to sprint ehrpd at the same time?

We have maps of completed NV sites in each market that get updated weekly in our Sponsor section. Your best bet is to check it out and see if one is near you.

You're welcome. My speeds started getting better about a month ago, but this is the first time I've seen EHRPD around my location. I also know that there has been some fiber optic cable work going on near me. I don't know if it's sprint related though. Maybe Robert can shed some light on that?

It seems like the lte roll out in NY is moving a bit slow. I'm hoping to see the weekly numbers start increasing soon.

I live in Yonkers NY just north of the bronx. I've been following the forums and on Sundays I check like every 15 minutes for updates. Thanks Robert. I just checked my S3 and EVO LTE and for the first time my network type changed to eHRPD. Very happy to see progress over here. Can I assume the antennas have been upgraded? Is this a sign that Backhaul has also been completed?

Getting improved speeds in Yonkers ny, could it be NV?

I am a new yorker and I am a sponsor here and I constantly leave messages in other forums but the reason I don't comment much on 4G LTE is because I have an iPhone 4S and it's only 3G so all I care about right now is improved 3G speeds that NV will bring.

 

I am not eligible for an upgrade until July 2013 so by then I won't have to worry about searching for 4G LTE because i'm sure it'll be fully implemented in NYC and also, i'll be able to get the new iPhone with 4G LTE.

 

I don't have any complains regarding the NYC market when it comes to signal strength. I have full service everywhere. Data speeds could be improved in certain areas. In certain areas of NYC I get up to 1.4mbps down and .90-1.00mbps up and in other areas I get .10-.25mbps down and .60mbps up.

 

My area had get great 3G speeds but lately they've been slowing down too much. Luckily for me, I use wi-fi when i'm at home but I don't plan on leaving Sprint.

I never have a problem as far as signal, but 3g speeds is another story..... I switched from a wimax phone to the EvoLTE and would love to see some LTE love soon

Thanks u guys. I just thought its weird how nyc is one or biggest sprint markets yet the shortest thread.

I guess for now will just enjoy the NV.

Can't wait for LTE to put my beast phone to serve me.
