True. With the AppleCare being refundable maybe I'll still go that route.I tried that in the past and it didn't work for me. I wouldn't recommend relying on that in case something happens.

Now to just hold one off to the side for myself when they launch. Although I doubt the stores will get the 6s+ 64gb on launch day.

That's what they say. I've seen it done where it's been added via the online account and then a few days later a claim done. You can only add TEP within 30 days of activation or during any random open enrollment periods.

Good to know on the AppleCare refund.

I wish. Their boxes have been bland thus far.

Damn you for making sense Vince. I didn't even think about factoring in the deductible. I was going off the monthly and that's it. Now I just have something else to think about.... Lol.

I'm thinking I might switch over to tep if anything at all. Paying for AppleCare when it won't transfer to my new phone next year doesn't make any sense to me. I've never lost a phone or had one stolen so between apple just taking care of it's customers and me being easy on my phone I think I'll be okay.
Either that or I'll just add on tep on my sprint.com account when anything happens.

This. My favorite part of being an apple customer. I've asked every single time I've had my phone replaced and every time I get the same answer. Brand new phones.and they do not give customers refurbs.

No. The plan stays the same so your discount is unaffected. All you're changing is the lease that you add to your account. So one thing I did not account for....if i change my phone to the forever plan, do I lose the discount we have? I think its like 18% or something.

I just put the beta back on my phone last night and within an hour of being on the new software it popped it up. You're not crazy. Lol.

I wish I could go pick it up from Apple. I love going into their stores. Prolly more than I really should but it's all around a good experience. I'll be doing iPhone forever so I guess I'm limited to in store or through online. :/
-
How have you guys had the best experience with pre-ordering? I preordered through my local Corp store last year and didn't like the experience at all.
-
Correct. Standard upgrade fees do apply IIRC.

Is this only lease or easy pay also?

Lease only.

Where did you see that you get the $10 discount? I am in the same boat as you (Upgraded to iPhone 6 64Gb at release) and I am eligible to upgrade with the iPhone forever. Would this apply to the ED 1500 legacy plan?
$10 discount is only for certain accounts. They haven't told the stores how it works but some customers qualify others don't. Haven't really found a rhyme or a reason to it. It's either there or it's not. Jamison's account has it because he got the email for $5 for his lease.
It applies to the everything data, MyWay and My All In plans.

The 6 64gb is only 9.77 plus tax not the 13.77. Below is all the pricing with a device turn in. If you're on a legacy plan you can take another 10 off of these prices as long as your account has the loyalty credit offer on it.
iPhone 6 16GB - $15
iPhone 6 64GB - $19.77
iPhone 6 128GB - $24.53
iPhone 6 Plus 16GB - $19
iPhone 6 Plus 64GB - $23.77
iPhone 6 Plus 128GB - $28.53I talked to care and it looks like I get to keep my upgrade and it's not just an iPhone forever thing so I'll only be upgrading the one time when the new one comes out. WOOOTTTT!!!!

Add $5 to the price plus tax. You must be on an old legacy plan.Just got this....'might take advantage of it tmrow to be honest. Wonder how much it'll be for 64gb

With a device turn in you drop $7 a month off of $22. If youre on a legacy plan they give you a loyalty credit for certain customers which is another $10. Bring you to $5 plus tax. To go up in storage is another $5 a month.
I just checked my account and they're letting me upgrade early too. I'm a year in on my two year on my 6 64gb and my account qualifies for iPhone forever. The only downside is I have shitty credit so I have a big down payment. I may do it just to get a 6 plus like I've been wanting but if I want to upgrade again this year I wonder if they're going to want another down payment.

After using a note 4 for a few days I decided I really want a 6s+ or whatever freak name they're going to give the thing. Having a bigger screen is starting to become a must for me. Having bad eyesight and a smallish screen kinda sucks. Considering selling my phone outright but I agree with you guys. I don't want to have to worry about coordinating all of it just to be taken on fees and all of that crap. Guess we'll see how I feel when the new ones get announced.
I haven't googled or anything but has anyone heard anything about the next apple watch? My credit card got a bump in its limit and I've been itching to swipe it somewhere.
Super long post edit. I think I said I was going to try the new Moro earlier in the thread. Android seems to have lost some of its polish to me. Notifications aren't the same as they were iirc and it seems to just not be as smooth or efficient as iOS. Don't think I'll waste the time or effort on any of the new androids.

I'll let him know to check it again if he ever sees that. Very rarely do we go through or to Chicago for anything since our main office is in Waukesha but who knows what will happen.
Thanks for the heads up.

G3 on sprint. It was my district manager for a sprint retailer. He wouldn't dream of switching to another carrier. Speedtest showed the speeds I mentioned. Dunno really what else to tell you. The app reported it as being that high. Maybe a clearwire tower. Freak of nature tower that has ridiculous speeds. I dunno.G3? Was this on another carrier? The G3 on Sprint is not capable of those speeds.

I'm aware of how it works. I have AppleCare myself and I also work for a retailer. I haven't gotten clarification on how AppleCare works when you trade in your phone. If it doesn't transfer it essentially is like paying $100 a year for protection. Which is only a minimal savings over tep as far as the cost. The savings on a claim favors AppleCare as you mentioned though.I actually had a plus a few months after launch, but got sick of the size, and wanted a more "pocketable" device, so I bought a regular 6. Now that I have the plus back, I've realized how it's way better to have a large screen and a great battery again. They offered me TEP on the phone, but it wasn't forced.
AppleCare may be able to be purchased at the Sprint counter, as I believe it's an option when checking out online. If not, you have 60 days from purchase to go to an Apple Store and add it for $100. Once I get the next model, I'll be adding it. It's a great insurance policy for someone like me who doesn't ever lose or have their device stolen. I'm way more likely to drop it or break it some other way. This way, it's only $75 for my mistake, and not $200. I pay for TEP basically only as a backup.

Tep is not included in the price. That's separate as it always has been.
Good question on AppleCare. I haven't come across that yet.

Gotcha. At least I know it's not something I'm missing on my end. Thanks for the replies.

Just switched to a note 4 from my iPhone 6 since work had an old demo laying around. I have always used Signalcheck on my phones since it first came out and would like to continue to do so. My main issue with the note is that if I have the notification bar icons turned on it shows on my lock screen which then makes my clock tiny and takes up one of the available notification spots. Is there anyway to keep the icons to keep track of what network I'm on but not have the notification on the lock screen?
Thanks for any help in advance.
Anyone have any idea on this? I deactivated the phone for a few days and am now back on it. Would really like to know if this is an app setting I can change or if the note just has an issue with persistent notifications.
-
I think there is a website like doesitwork.com or something to that extent and you enter in your esn and it'll tell you which carrier it works on. If it was locked and then unlocked idk if it would pick up on that though.

We have a demo note 4 from the location I worked for that I just activated. It's been a pain to get everything working on it. The biggest pain has honestly been getting my clash of clans to get working again. Lol.

Last year I waited outside the local Corp store on preorder day and I had my 6 64gb on launch day I think. First phone I ever got on launch day.
I may just end up doing that again but I didn't like the experience as I said earlier in the thread.
