  1. Let it load for the rest of the day, then charge it up, and give it a power+home reset. It eventually clears up. iOS 9 is just laggy in general, and ruined my iPhone 6+. I installed the public beta of 9.1 today, and 95% of the lag is gone.

I thought I saw you guys say this on launch day. My 6S+ was fine right out of the box. I'll just let it be and see how it goes.
  2. That sucks. Sorry to hear you've been having a rough time. Hopefully one of the stores will be able to help you out.

Debating on an iPad on my account for my media use and making my life more mobile for work. Don't know whether to wait for the new iPad Air or just get the mini now.

  3. Kinda considering returning my + for the regular 6S. I like the bigger screen and battery but the weight and size is kinda unwieldy in normal day to day to use. Might just return this and add on an iPad mini to my account for the media aspect that I'd actually use it for.

  4. The thing I want to know is do they lower the lease payment if you trade in a higher capacity device. If I interpret the news release correctly, then anyone who trades in a 16 GB Plus gets the same discount as someone who trades in a 128 GB plus. Seems kinda unfair, but I shouldn't complain. This is the best deal out there right now IMO.

This is true. We enter in a code that makes it a set amount based on the device. Doesn't matter storage or color it's just the type of device. Kind of messed up in my opinion but they already have 6 million different ways to get the new iPhone. We don't need to muddy the water anymore.
  5. While on the subject of Open World, does anyone know if there is a different PRL for it? I'm still at 55029. If none of the roaming is CDMA, I guess it wouldn't matter.

Newer prl's have the program built into them. You wouldn't notice anything different. It's just the billing system not billing you for off network usage.

  6. It's separate. I should be able to ship all 3 devices back with just the 1 label right? I don't want them thinking we didnt return all 3 devices because they're missing 2 labels, which would be stupid...but you never know.

If they're separate labels I would do them separate. Better to be safe than sorry. The device are attached to those labels so I'm sure they could figure it out but you don't want to risk it.

  7. Is the label on the envelope or separate? I can't remember. If it's a separate label it doesn't matter what it's on. Put your phone in the envelope for protection and then throw them in a box with some padding. Label on the outside and bang bang. Done.

If it's attached to the envelope just pad it as good as you can if you're worried. Asurion uses the same envelopes for device returns and they don't have issues but in this case I understand wanting to protect your device to make sure you don't get charged back.

  8. Just the devices go back. Nothing else is needed. No cords. No headphones. Nothing. Just the device.

As for the two phone send in I haven't come across that yet so I would call or chat to care and find out what they want you to do. If you would rather I'd try turning them in to a Corp store. I know a few of you haven't had any luck with it but I don't see why they won't take them back. Maybe so they aren't responsible if something gets messed up but it's as simple as ringing through the system for iPhone forever and then putting the phone in a special drawer or box so they don't get mixed up.

  9. Apparently, the baseband inside my new phone got toasted (according to Apple support). I was at home last night when my phone went to "No Service." I tried to restore on several different computers, and it won't finish installing without an error. Looks like I have to swap out my phone on Saturday. :/

Had this happen when I activated a phone for a customer yesterday. Going through iCloud restore and wouldn't complete. Would flicker to the home screen and show no service or searching and then flick back. Had to swap it for him on the spot.
  10. Oh that would've pissed me off. I would've asked to speak with the manager. It's not the fact that its barely showing, its the fact that it is happening and WILL get worse and worse over time. I hope this issue has been corrected with the 6s.

Meh. It was an older gentlemen. I blamed it on him being a grumpy old man and got on with my day. No point in making it a big scene when nothing is really going to come of it.

  11. Well, the guy at Apple can go F himself if he thinks you're being picky. You paid good money for your phone, so you should get a good phone that has zero defects on it.

No matter what the rep personally thought Apple policy has them replace it which he did. I was a little miffed he said something instead of keeping it to himself but at the end of the day I walked out with what I wanted/needed to happen and all is well. The world can keep on keeping on.
