  1. Maybe the city of Hialeah is taking their time approving permits..
  2. Robert - Which ones would be Sprint's current panels?? I believe at&t, sprint, and verizon are the only ones on this tower....
  3. Just ran into climbers on site MI60XC221 down in homestead.... Do these look like Sprint RRU's or at&t's?
  4. http://www.lvrj.com/news/if-you-lose-your-cellphone-don-t-blame-wayne-dobson-186670171.html Sprint GPS Glitch Making Poor Guy's Life Hell Everyone Thinks He Stole Their Phone -- Including Police A Sprint network glitch is incorrectly directing users to the home of Wayne Dobson in North Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, an unexplained location and GPS data glitch is sending victims of cellphone and tablet theft -- and the police looking for them -- to this poor guy's home at all hours of the day and night. The problem only appears to be plaguing owners of Sprint phones, who Dobson says he's had no limit of unpleasant run ins with as he has to repeatedly explain to them that he hasn't stolen their devices. As you might expect, the quality of his sleep isn't the greatest: The problem appears to be limited to some owners of Sprint phones. Company officials said they are researching the problem, which has forced Dobson to sleep near his front door on weekends so he can answer the door quickly at all hours. "It's a hell of a problem," he said. "It would be nice to be able to get a good night's sleep."Sprint insists they're researching the problem
  5. Drive out to 8th street, and Krome ave... I'm sure you will be able to get good speeds, but then agian as Robert pointed out that area isn't a densely populated area with low data traffic...
  6. Well once the backhual is installed, it should be easy to turn up 3G/4G on the same cell site. They need to do it ASAP...Data speeds are the pits during rush hour (6PM - 10PM)
  7. Well it looks like we are seeing the first 3G/4G upgraded sites in Miami! Hopefully this will improve service - bigtime!
  8. With LTE will it allow CDMA phones to talk and surf at the same time???
  9. Hopefully.. I guess with the rush to get LTE to market ASAP they are putting 3G service upgrades on the second round once all is installed???
  10. Since the OEM is currently installing 4g service only, generally how long it's going to take to go back and activate the new 3G service on all of the NV sites? 3G service in Miami-Dade during peek hours is bad. 70% of the time my phone switches from 3G to 1X
  11. funny that most of the new NV sites are being feed by FPL's FiberNet division. I've seen a lot of new FPL FiberNet markers being installed into new cell sites... If you look at FPL FiberNet's network map http://www.fplfibernet.com/networks/contents/florida.shtml?city=miami, you can see fiber being delivered to cell sites around Miami-Dade & Broward Counties...
  12. The cell site off of 117 ave, and 168 st next to Handy Storage was upgraded about week ago. All of the new NV panels are up, new cabints are installed at the base but still not broadcasting. Looks like OEM is waiting for Sprint to give the green light.
  13. What is the typical backhaul connection to an new NV cell site? 10, 50, 100 or 1000 mbps??? And do they VLAN /QOS speeds for both CDMA and LTE?? or both technologies just use whatever amount of bandwidth is available?
  14. Do companies pay a premium for higher placement of their radio heads on towers???
  15. Interesting article... http://www.fiercebroadbandwireless.com/story/report-sprints-lte-coverage-far-less-advertised/2012-10-04
  16. For all of you that wanted to see how the crews are installing Sprint's LTE network... Take a look below: Video 1 - Video 2 -
  17. Here's two video's of Sprint LTE being installed on a cell site off the Florida Turnpike and 112 ave (Allapattah Rd) in the South Dade area. Funny thing is that site is not listed as a Sprint site.. Video 1 - Video 2 -
  18. Homestead is not a haul from Miami.... Homestead is a city within Miami-Dade County. Miami is concerned the downtown area...
  19. Zip Code is 33033 - South end of Miami-Dade County... cell site is off of SW 288 st (Biscayne Dr) and US1 via the network.sprint.com website... They may be starting down south first and working up north into Miami.... Dont know about the name of the contractor... couldnt get close enough since the main road is underconstruction... I''ll check tomorrow morning and see if they are still working there.... They do have alot of guys in the crew....
  20. Well it looks like NV has started in Miami...Saw the crew working on Sprint site in Homestead this afternoon. Appears that they are installing the new antennas, and the new cabinets on the base of the tower.... Yeah!!!
