  1. Well when it went to 299.99 I saved it as a PDF file to take with me just in case some shenanigans took place. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah I was on hold with my local mobile department for Best Buy, and she was adamant that it was $299.99 like all the other carriers, so I pressed her on it. She put me on hold, and while I was on hold I looked it up again because earlier this morning it was still $349.99. So when she got back on the line, I told her never mind that I saw the website is up to date now. Maybe your email jogged corporate to fix the price on their website.
  3. Nevermind I see they bestbuy has changed their price to $299.99 now. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-galaxy-note-4-cell-phone-charcoal-black-sprint/8681453.p;jsessionid=28C0A682DB96BC8F66FC0C9EBFB939C4.bbolsp-app01-101?id=1219357517237&skuId=8681453&st=Sprint%20Note%204&cp=1&lp=3&contract_desc=
  4. Hey newboyx, Can you confirm or deny whether Best Buy will match Sprint's $299.99 price for a 2-year contract instead of the $349.99 that you currently have listed for pre-orders. If not, I may need to cancel my pre-orders with Bestbuy and do it through Sprint and just wait on my $200 trade-in money for my phone from Samsung. I can't see why Best Buy wouldn't match the same pre-order price as Sprint itself is doing?
  5. I pre-ordered two at BB on 9/26 and the mobile guy didn't have a clue about the $200 gift card either, but walked over to a guy with a Samsung shirt on and he printed out something showing him about it. He put it with my pre-order paperwork. He also said the gift card can be used toward the purchase of the Note 4 as did the Samsung representative. Just an FYI. At the time I pre-ordered they didn't have the white one on their system but they do now, so I gotta go back and cancel one and get one white one now for the wife. 6. I know that. I was just asking the guy that is obviously a BestBuy employee what the chances that the price would drop to $300.
  7. What is the chance Best Buy will allow the Sprint version to be sold for $300 versus $350? It pisses me off that Sprint wants to charge $50 more for the same dang phone. Would love to take advantage of two $200 Gift Cards and get two Note 4's for $100 each. I don't see the reasoning why it cost $50 more.
  8. So lets hope that Best Buy matches the price down to $300. My S3 says it is worth $45 to best buy. My wife wants a Note 4 also, so I trade in two phones get $45 each for it pay $300 for each phone and Samsung is going to cut me two checks for $155 each? Sounds too good to be true. I wouldn't be able to get more than $100-125 for my excellent condition S3's. I have never upgraded with Best Buy, just sprint telesales and pre-orders, do they typically do everything right and not screw up plans etc...?

Well from that it looks as if Sprint is only carrying the 3GB/32GB version which is great. 3GB/32GB should be the minimum specs offered in top of the line smartphones these days. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  10. Which modem NDC or ND8? Yeah I had issues like that on ND8. If I put my hands at the top of the phone instead of bottom it would flip over also. All to do with your hands blocking the signal I suppose and the ND8 modem being more sensitive to change in signal level. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  11. Yes I'm running the ND8 stock rooted ROM, flashed NDC modem, and then flashed KT747 for TouchWiz ROM's. I have tested it for about 48 hours now, and it definitely holds onto better and picks up LTE faster than ND8 modem did, at least in my area(Northern Georgia near Atlanta). Make sure you do a custom backup of the ND8 modem in your custom recovery before flashing NDC modem. I use Philz to do this. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  12. For the record remember this guy is not on sprint he is on Virgin Mobile and he flashed the entire ROM not just the modem. Since the ROM is meant for virgin mobile, of course he wouldn't lose wifi. I'm telling your right now though if you are on sprint and flash the NDC modem you will have to flash a custom kernel like KT747 to get wifi working. I know this because I am running ND8 ROM and have NDC modem flashed and I am on sprint. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  13. For the record, I flashed the NDC modem and just playing around with the phone in areas of my house that on MK3 got LTE but then on ND8 got 3G only, it looks as if NDC lets me keep LTE more often like MK3 did. I will investigate further at work tomorrow. I had no issues sending or receiving MMS/SMS with the modem either. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  14. Yes, the best way to do this would be have Philz custom recovery do a custom backup of the modem then flash the modem. You will need to flash KT747 kernel for TouchWiz if you want wifi to work also. Here are the links you need: NDC Modem Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2774899 KT747 Kernel Thread (make sure you flash the touchwiz version for 4.4.2): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800576 Philz Recovery if you need it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446393 If you end up having issues then just restore the old modem back through recovery. If that doesn't work then either flash a full recovery (that you should do before trying this) or get the stock ND8 tar file and odin it. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  15. The modem was what i was talking about. Someone on XDA said that someone that was on the ND8 bootloader flashed the modem and it broke wi-fi unless you used a custom kernel like KT747.... Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  16. Ok so to everyone else. I would advise against flashing or using Odin to flash NDC build or modem if you are on sprint. From what I read it breaks Wi-Fi without a custom kernel and may break other things like APN etc... Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  17. Are you on Boost or Virgin Mobile? The reason I ask is because NDC is supposed to be the build for them not sprint. Did you accept an OTA if you are on Sprint or did you go to xda-developers and download the ROM there? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Do you have a link where that is said? Everything I have read is assuming 16GB only due to T-Mobile leaked retail price for the 32GB versus Sprint's contest to win one which has the retail price at $50 less. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

You didn't understand what I'm saying. I know one of the two models will come out on time. I'm talking about sprint's notorious way they only release the lower memory models first. So I will bet they release the 16GB/2GB model only at launch and then the people that want the 32GB/3GB version will be released never or months later. They are notorious for delaying higher cost versions of the same phone. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I have this horrible feeling sprint is going to do what it does a lot when two different models of the same phone come out. I am worried they are only going to offer the 2GB/16GB model or offer the 3GB/32GB model months after the initial release after other better phones have come out and no one wants it anymore. They are notorious for doing stuff like that. I want this phone, but only the 32GB version. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I may hold off and see what the S5 prime has to offer. Hopefully 3GB/805/32GB. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  22. Google maps works fine without GPS on for me. Maps will complain about GPS not being on but just ignore the pop-up by tapping cancel and hit the find location icon at the bottom and it found me with about a 10-30 feet accuracy without GPS on. So you aren't doing something right man. Keep trying. I will help you if I can. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah they changed up the settings for it but location services work without GPS on. Press the location setting and choose Power Saver. That setting is equivalent to GPS off but Wi-Fi and tower triangulation setting on that was on 4.3 Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  24. Does clicking on Location in settings and changing to setting to Power Saver (Wi-Fi and mobile network location only) not allow apps to work on the phone? The reason I ask is because that setting works fine for me in Google Maps, foursquare, my weather widget, etc... Yeah Google maps gives me a warning asking me to turn on GPS but it still found where I was. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
  25. Ignore it and be annoyed or root and install a custom recovery then take the update and let it fail. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
